Chapter 39
**In the bedroom**
'What is wrong with you? How long are you going to keep acting like this?"
Riel asked Desse as he walked in and met her crying.
Desse has not left the room ever since the burial of the girl, she has always felt guilty and blamed herself for the maids death. But, this past few days has been really difficult for him and he was not taking it likely anymore.
'Why do you choose to punish yourself like this?" Riel as to her.
Desse faced up to looked at him
'What is wrong with you? This is not the Desse that I got married to. You don't do anything anymore, you don't eat, you don't drink and you even refused to take your medications all you do is sit in your room either crying or holding Louis pictures all day or do you want to kill your self and leave us alone in this world?." Riel asked in a calm tone.
'Why are you sounding like this you know I don't, It is just that I feel so bad for our son. When will he get better? When will he stop killing females? The fact that I actually can not place my head on the way his sickness started and how it's going feels so annoying." Desse said to him as sitting up.
'Okay, let's say you feel bad for our son Louis and it hurts you anytime you see him suffering but is this the right way to go about it? You, lying down on the bed from morning to night holding his pictures and crying is the perfect solution to you right?"
'Riel!"
'Don't Riel me ooo, do you know how difficult it has been for me these past few days. Going to check up on Louis, going through some files, settling some serious issues that are being tabled to me as the Alpha just to mention a few and anytime I come back to the room to have a nice rest I meet crying like you lost your husband or do you want me dead."
'What? Riel, why are you talking like this? Why would you even say a thing like that? You know how much I love you and I would never wish you death."
'Then stop all this because it's really suspecting and it's working me out already." Riel said to her in a calm and sweet tone.
Desse cleaned her face and gave Riel a serious look.
'Is that the way you see me now? How will you look me in the eye and tell me you are suspecting me? Did you also know how difficult it has been for me these past few days?"
'What do you mean by 鈥榙o you know how difficult it has been for me these past few days?' How? The only thing I have seen you do this past few days is lying down on this bed, sleeping!" Riel said is a very loud and angry tone.
'Riel!"
'It been fourteen days since we performed the burial right of our late maid and all you have done ever since then is crying, sleeping and also starving yourself. Sometimes I wonder if you want to kill yourself and make me a young widower."
'What? Riel I won't sit here and watch you talk bad about me like that. I know you are angry but insulting me is not something I would take from you at all. I am your wife and I deserve some respect." Desse said to him, in a loud tone and jumped up angrily.
'Seriously, so you now have strength to stand up from the bed. Do you know how many times and how many people I begged to call you earlier today so you could at least say Hi to our visitors that we had earlier today. Those guests came from far to see us and I begged you to please come downstairs and at least say hi to them. But no you didn't come, you made me feel so embarrassed. Do you even know I had to cook up a very big lie so that they believe me."
'Hmmm鈥� I am sorry about that but..."
'But what Desse, you practically insulted me and you are hear talking about respect. Seriously, I am not even going to drag this matter any further but please don't talk to me about respect because you already lost that from me." Riel said to her as he tried to leave the room.
'Riel am sorry if you felt disrespected鈥�"
'You know Desse, I don't even want to hear anything from you again."
'Ray!"
'Desse, you are saying you are sorry if I feel, really if I feel! Desse, so what you are saying now is that you don't feel what you are doing is bad."
'Hmm鈥� Riel, I already told you that I was sorry but I feel you just want to make a big deal out of these."
'A big鈥� a big deal? Desse, are you being serious right now. To even think of the way you are acting right now makes me feel like you hate me. Earlier on you were lying down on the bed acting like someone who's mourning her husband but now see how you are acting." Riel said is a very angry tone.
'Riel" Desse shouted his name.
'You know what I would just let you have the room to yourself." Riel said to her as he left the room.
With the way Riel left the room Desse knew he was angry and really upset with her and it was unlike him. It's been a while since she saw him get this angry and she didn't like it.
She stood up and went to check herself in the mirror.
'Oh my God! It this truly me?" She shouted as she kept on looking into the mirror.
'Nobody must see me like this right now, I look so unkempt." She said to herself as she ran to lock the room.
She quickly ran to the bathroom and freshened up.
