Chapter 27
"I think it's high time you have a rethink on your judgement Riel" Desse pleaded.
Riel was in the mansion in his study before Desse walked in with a sad and pitiful look. She did not even bother greeting him, she just went straight to the chair in front of his table and sat down grumbling. She waited for
"What do you mean by I should have a rethink on my own judgement? What are talking about? You know what exactly happened on that day and you also know that my judgement were not partial at all that why you supported me on it. So why are you bringing this up now? How do you what me to go back on my very own words?" Riel questioned her.
"Ray please can you calm down? I never said you should go back on your words. I only want us to adjust somethings " Desse replied.
"Desse' please do not piss me right now, I was busy before you walked in." He saod to her angrily.
"Riel, what's wrong with you? Are you telling me to鈥�" she questioned him pointing at the door
"To?" he asked her.
"You know what Desse go ahead, tell me what you what me to do because I don't understand you anymore. That man practically is not capable of doing his duty and to think of it he risked your son's life, our son's life!" Riel scolded her.
Desse looked at him disappointed.
"What do you mean by he risked our son's life when you know fully well that he tried to stop our son from leaving his room. I only accepted your judgement because I didn't want anyone to suspect anything" she said angrily.
"Why would you even say such words Desse? It's your sons safety we are talking about right now and you know that. If he was trying to stop him from coming out he could have used another measure not hitting him with a stick! A stick!! That could have kill him, our only son!" Riel shouted at her.
"Riel, why are acting like this? When did you start raising your voice at me?" She said to him with a sad tone.
Riel realized that he truly raised his voice at her. He was going to apologize to her but she started talking again.
"You know I am Louis's mum and I would not see anything or anybody hurt him but Manuel his personal guard has been looking out for him since his sickness started. He has always watched out for him making sure nothing happens to him or see him cry even when we were not there and you are aware of that. I hope you remember that he is also well trained in martial art so their is no how he would hit our son in a way that would kill him. Manuel has always been loyal and obligated to duty assigned to him" Desse explained.
Her explanation was a little convincing to him, he began to see reasons with her.
"Not only that he carries out his duty effectively, he is also very trustworthy" she continued.
She noticed that Riel was quietly listening to her and his expression showed that he was getting convince. So she continued and gave more reasons why he should have rethink on his decision.
"Have you ever thought of what the society would think of us if they realize that our son Louis is seriously sick and is being locked up due to the critical stage of his sickness." She explained further to him a calm and understanding manner.
Riel was still keeping silence but he was seriously paying attention to what she was saying. After asking him the question he did not reply with a word he only used sign saying no he doesn't.
"Since you don't know let me tell you. They will come often to pester you with annoying things or even spread rumors that you are a cursed Alpha and that the reason why our son is sick" she explained to him further.
Riel has a very surprising look on his face after hearing her.
"So what do you what me to do?" He asked her.
"Let's take down the orders you gave to the guard Manuel" she replied him sarcastically.
"What? What do you mean by that? I should take down my orders for what? You know that is not possible. That can never work because I can never go back on my words never!" In a loud tone Riel said angrily as he banged the table in front of him.
"Seriously, pride! All this is just because of your pride and that's really selfish of you and you know that. But let me tell you your pride will even be more at stake if you don't do the needful " she said angrily as she stood up and was about to leave his study before he ran to her and stopped her.
"Desse! Desse! Stop please wait. I know you are trying to protect this family but going back on my words is not a good idea and you know that." He explained his reasons to her.
"I know that why I had something else planned but you don't even what want to listen to me you only care about your pride and that's not fair to me at all" she also explain to him
She went back to were she was sitting and sat down. She explained the whole thing to him.
"If we send him out of the palace people will surely interrogate him and he would have no choice but to tell them and slowly the news would spread round and it would be very difficult for us to explain ourselves because he is Louis personal guard more like his assistant. So I think we should just punish him within the palace since you insist that he should be punished because if it was left to me I would say you should let him go. He doesn't deserve any punishment and his mum has been here begging on his behalf." She advised him.
Riel was really convinced this time and he was going to do as she said.
"Thanks for the advice darling I don't know what would do without you" he said to her in a sweet tone while holding her hands.
