Chapter 12
I don't know why but I feel I'm the cause of what's happ to Louis." Desse wasn't expecting such reply for hik because he is obviously not the cause of what's going on. She moved closer to him and put her hand on his shoulder.
'Why are you sounding like this? You know there's no way all this is your fault." Desse said to him trying to make him feel better. Riel turned to look at her he knew she was only saying all this to make him calm.
'I want to believe so, but I just can't, it's all too obvious to be overlooked." Riel insisted. Desse sighed after hearing what Riel said to her.
Though she know it's not true but she know it'll be hard to convince Riel since he already have the mentality that he is the cause of Louis's problem.
Desse decided not to say anything to Riel again until he is completely okay.
Louis finally woke up after a very long sleep. He looked around the room and turned to look at the door. He stood up from his bed and walked to the door.
He tried opening it several times but it was not opening.
He walked back to go seat on the bed.
'Mommy please open the door." Louis said to himself in a very low tone.

Riel turned to look at Desse, Desse was wondering why he was staring at her like that.
'Is there anything wrong?" Desse asked Riel.
'Louis should be up now?" Riel said to Desse and she opened her eye wider than usual the moment she heard what Riel said she stood up from where she was sitting and both of them rushed out of the room to the sitting room.
Desse rushed to the kitchen without a asking the maids for help she made Louis's favorite meal. Meanwhile, Riel was waiting for her in the sitting room.
When she was done preparing the food she walked out of the kitchen with the plate of food. The maids were watching her and most of them pitied her because it was obvious that she was troubled.
When she got out with the plate of food Riel stood up and both of them headed to Louis's room with the plate of food. When they got to the front of Louis's room Riel collected the plate from Desse.
He opened the door and entered the room with the plate of food.
The moment he got into the room Louis turned to look at him, Desse watched him from outside the room, she was trying really hard to to tear up because the whole scene was too emotional for her.
'Daddy." Louis said to his dad the moment he saw him. Riel smiled and sat on the bed with the plate of food.
'I know you must be hungry now." Riel said to Louis with a smile on his face.
'Yes daddy, I have been locked in here since morning I tried knocking but no one opened the door for me." Louis complained. Riel smile faded when he heard everything Louis said, he pitied Louis because he had to go through such a thing at such tender age.
'Ohh, you knocked." Riel said confused, nothing was popping on his head to say so confused hun just smiled after thinking for a while.
'This is your food, seat properly." Riel arranged the food on the bed for Louis. Louis looked around the room, then he turned again to look at Riel.
'Where is mommy?" Louis asked. Desse shifted from the room the moment she heard the question. Riel was confused, he was thinking of a good reply to give Louis.
'Your mom, uhm she went to see a friend." Riel finally replied after thinking of a good reply for a while. Louis could sense a lie on his dad's reply. All that was going through his mind is that his mom might be angry with him that's why she refused to come see him.
'Is she still angry with me?" Louis asked Riel. Riel was confused he was thinking of a reply to give Louis because Desse was not angry with Louis.
'Eat your food first we'll talk later." Riel said to him trying to convince him to eat his food. Louis looked at Riel and then looked at the food again.
He picked the spoon and started eating his food.
'Mom made me my favorite." Louis said with a bright smile on his face he smiled because he know that only his mother can make his favorite meal for him.
'Yes she did, now you know she is not angry with you." Riel was happy because he is now sure that the question he was struggling to answer has been answered effortlessly.
Louis smiled and nodded his head. Then he continued eating his food.
Desse was standing outside and listening to them. She moved closer to see her son properly. She was happy to see that her son was eating his food happily.
Tears welled down her eyes while she was watching Louis eat his food, she was unhappy with the fact that she will not be near her son when he is eating his food.
'How long will this last?" Desse asked herself and wiped the tears away from her eyes.
When Louis was done eating he smiled and turned to loom at his dad.
'Dad I'm full." Louis said excitedly to his dad.
Riel smiled and looked at him, he arranged the food and picked the tray up.
'Now you need to go back to sleep." Riel said to Louis and removed the tray of food from the bed. He arranged the bed for Louis.
Louis went to lay on the bed, though it wasn't his choice because he wanted to go out and play around the house but because his dad said he should sleep he had no other choice.
'Dad, tell mom I want to see her when she returns." Riel smiled and gave Louis a peck on his forehead.
'I will." He replied Louis and walked out of the room.
When Riel got out of the room he saw Desse standing outside the room. He handed the food tray back to her and walked away.
