Chapter 19
Desse and her husband where in their bed when they heard a knock at the door.
'Good evening Sir, I came to inform you that the police officers are here and they are waiting for you downstairs Sir" one of his guards came to inform him.
'Okay, tell them I will join them shortly" Riel replied him.
The guard bowed and went to pass his message to the police officers who were waiting patiently for him.
'He said he would join to shortly" the guard said to the police officers and went back to hos duty post.
Riel who was about to take a short nap, putted on his clothes and asked his wife Desse if she was going to join them downstairs.
'No I don't think I will be coming downstairs again, I feel so week and I need to sleep" Desse replied him
Riel didn't bother her anymore because he knew she was down. It was as a result of what happened earlier when since she was not able to go closer to her son and Louis said he missed her and want to see her soon.
'It's okay darling I understand, I will just go downstairs and meet with them alone" He said calmly.
'You could call Christabel and her mother as well to go along with you" Desse added.
Riel had a thought on that before giving his reply.
'No darling I don't think that would be necessary because earlier while we were coming upstairs I saw through the door of their room and Christabel was alre fast asleep. So I would not like to disturb them" he replied Desse.
'Okay darling since they are asleep there would be no need to disturb them with things like this and I don't think they've had a better and sound sleep lately"
Desse said as she felt pity for the both of them.
Riel gave her a peck on her forehead and stepped out of the room. As soon as he got downstairs he ordered one the guard who was on standby to go and bring the man. Which the guard carried away immediately, as he went to bring the man Riel explained to the police what he want them to do with the man. Soon after the man was brought down by the guard and the police officers took him along with them as they left the mansion.

Days went by and their was no form of improvement in their son Louis instead it seemed like he became worse that he was before. Now he would always ask for more meat and less food which was really scary to his family.
Riel and Desse where both sitting in the living room have a little chat on different things.
'Oh yes, that reminds me, don't you think it high time we give Christabel mother a job to do in the mansion" Riel said to Desse as soon as her name was mentioned in their conversations.
Desse was so happy to her those words come out of his mouth.
'Yes I think we should. Actually I have been thinking of that for a while now but o did not want to say that first, I wanted you to see reasons and say it. I am so happy right now" Desse replied happily.
Riel was surprised to see her happy m, it's has been a while since he saw her this happy.
'Is there something else that is making you this happy and exited?" He asked her.
'No my love. It's just that since when Christabel and her mother came into this house things have been moving smoothly and Christabel is always there to keep me company any time she noticed I am bored or feel lonely. And her mother has nothing to do, she would always stroll round the mansion daily and come back to her room. I know she feels bored at times because she has nothing doing which I know she is not use to and you know she would never come to us to ask for a job because she still feels indepted to us due to the fact that we accepted her into our house ' she explained still excitingly.
Riel was short of word and was happy to see his wife happy again.
'Hmm鈥� so which position in the palace do you think suit her most" he asked her while using her hands to touch his bears.
Desse was quiet for a while as she thought of what position would suit her most.
'I think a cook suit her most because I have seen her cook at her food taste so nice" she replied after so much thinking.
'Yes, I think a cook is a good idea. Should we call her here and share the good news with her? He asked her.
'Yes darling let's do that right away" she replied.
They both signaled one of the guards and told him to come, when he came they told him to go upstairs and call Christabel and her mother. The guard went immediately and carried out their other.
Few minutes later the guard came down with Christabel and her mother. Desse was the first to pass the good news to the both of them.
'We have something we want to share with you people" Desse said to them excitingly.
Christabel and her mother were eager to see what good news it was seeing the expression in both Desse and Riel face. They both had a big smile on their faces.
'We have a job offer for you" she said.
'For me? Thanks you very much Ma thank you very much Sir" Christabel's mother said kneeling on the floor.
'No dodo that get up, you don't even know what the job is and you are already thanking us" Desse said as she stood up to go and meet her.
'I don't know what job it is but I am really grateful because I have always wanted to work so that I could pay you and your husband back for your love and kindness" she said.
'Well it is a job of a cook" Desse said to her calmly.
'A cook? Ahh鈥� thank you so much I am forever grateful" she replied happily as she hugged her daughter Christabel.
