Chapter 41
**At the cinema room**
It was a very cool Wednesday Afternoon, Desse and Christabel were having a little chip chat in the cinema room in the mansion.
'I think the boy was at fault because he never gave the poor girl a listening ear. The only thing he did was insult her and boy her." Christabel said to her in an assuring tone.
'Really, so you actually think it's the poor boy's fault?" Desse asked her curiously.
'Yes Ma'am, the woman kept on praying and helping him to get better but all he could do at the end is to slit her throat. You know the woman has gone through a lot, she has faced a lot of pain because of him." Christabel explained further.
'I know that right."
'Do you remember when he ran out of the house? She still never got angry. The only thing she could say is 鈥榶ou know you are only child, my only child I forgive you. I can't even put myself in the condition of punishing you'" Christabel replied angrily.
'But Christabel, that is exactly how all parents behave, especially when they are the only child."
'Really Ma'am so you would still accept your son even if he did such a thing to you?"
'Yes Christabel, even if he does worse I would still accept him. Remember it wasn't even his fault because he only thought his mum hated him that's all."
'But.."
'Christabel, you are still a child so you can't understand. A mother who love her so who never want to see him that hurt instead she would always want to see him or her happy all the time."
'Really Ma'am, so if Louis even sees you as a bad person and tries to hurt you would you still accept him?" Christabel asked her, curiously.
'Yes dear, I would." Desse replied to her.
Christabel was so confused she didn't know what to say next so she just stopped with the questions and diverted to something else.
'Ma'am I think we should go to your room and unbox the new clothes you ordered." Christabel suggested.
'Awwwn, that's a good thought from you. Besides we are done with the movie and this is even the fourth movie we have watched today. It's better if we do something else and unboxing is a perfect thing to do." Desse replied to her, excitingly.
'Yes ma'am, with that we would be able to achieve two things. Unboxing the clothes and still chatting with each other."
'Yes dear, I think we should start going already." Desse said as she stood up so they could leave the cinema room.
'Yes ma'am, but wait let me carry my popcorn you know I didn't finish it." Christabel said to her as she ran back to where her popcorn was.
'Really, so you didn't finish yours. I actually finished before we started watching this last movie because it was too sweet."
'I was taking it slowly because I was concentrating on the movie we were watching and do know I even forgot about the popcorn at some point."
Desse waited for Christabel to take her popcorn before they left the cinema room. They were both walking down to room m, when they ran into Christabel's Mum who was already worried sick and Christabel. She had searched probably everywhere for."
'Good day Ma'am Desse." Christabel Mum greeted Desse without even looking at Christabel.
'We'll come," Desse replied.
When they were done exchanging greetings she turned to her daughter Christabel and began to scold her.
'Christabel, where are and you coming from?"
'Ohh I am really sorry about that, we didn't bother telling you because I thought it wouldn't be necessary since we were within the mansion." Desse replied to her on behalf of her daughter.
Christabel knew her mummy was angry with her because she didn't inform her that she was going to leave her room.
'I am sorry mummy, I really didn't mean to upset you. Please forgive me."
Christabel Mum didn't like the fact that Desse was coming in between the convention she and her daughter were having.
'I understand you ma'am, it's just that I need to let Christabel know that what she did was wrong and scold her for it."
Desse understood what she was saying so she just left the two of them and moved forward a little so that Christabel can talk with her daughter.
'Christabel, how many times have I told you to tell me before going out? Do you know how worried I was?" Her Mum scolded her.
'Mummy I am sorry for not coming to tell you earlier, it's just that鈥"
'It's just that what? Christabel, Didn't I come to the room earlier to beg you to take your baths and come downstairs with me so we could cook together but what did you tell me?"
'I am sorry Mum '
'Don't even try and apologize to me when you know fully well it's not from your mind." The only you could tell me is mummy I have a serious headache, I won't be stepping out of my room today."
'I swear, I really had headaches this morning, it's all gone now."
'Christabel, so you are lying to me in my face right now."
'Mummy, you know I can't lie to you."
'You know what just go but just know we will continue when you come back."
Christabel was about to say another word but her mum scolded her and told her to go even when she insisted that she was no longer going. Desse noticed that Christabel wasn't happy anymore as she came closer. The look on her face tells it all that her mum scolded her really well.
'Christabel, what is wrong with you? Did anything happen?" Desse asked her, curiously.
'Nothing ma'am it's just that I made my mum angry earlier today and now she is even more angry."
'Arrr, why would you make your mum angry? You know she is struggling and everything she is doing is because of you."
'But I actually didn't mean to get her angry."
'It's fine dear, I would go and beg her on your behalf later when we are done unboxing." Desse assured Christabel as they both headed to her room to start unboxing.
Christabel was so happy when Desse said she was going beg her mummy later.
