Chapter 33
It was a Saturday sunny afternoon in the mansion, Riel was in the garden going through a newspaper with a cup of juice in front of him. Desse was coming down from the stairs and was looking for Riel. She checked the sitting room but he was not there so she decided to check the garden.
'I knew you would be here,'' Desse said to him as soon as she saw him reading a newspaper in the garden.
The garden was located in the mansion, it is a good place for relaxation during sunny days in the mansion. The breeze that blows over there is so cool and comforting. That was Riel's favorite place in the mansion, even when it wasn't a sunny day. It was a very comfortable place for him to relax because it was always quiet and also calm. He loves to observe his quiet time in a quiet place without any form of disturbance and the garden was the most suitable and convenient place for him to stay.
'How are you?" He asked her as he smiled because of what she said earlier.
'Do you know that I have searched everywhere in the mansion for you?" Desse asked him as she brought a chair from one angle of the garden and sat down on it.
'That a lie you did not check everywhere, I know the exact places you probably check. The first place is definitely going to be the bathroom in our room. The second place you checked is the sitting room and鈥� hmm.. maybe my study before you came here because you know those are the only places I would be by this time. ' he said to her jokingly.
She kept on laughing because he got everything right. He already studied her very well.
'So? Isn't that also searching? As long as I check at least three places and you were not there it's considered a search." She told him jokingly as they both laughed out loud.
'Really? So you call looking for me in two to three places a search?" Riel asked her as he shaked his head and laughed even more.
They laughed a little more and then stopped.
'What is the problem? Why were you looking for me?" He asked in a more serious way because before he left her in the room she was really busy and said she would not want to be disturbed by anybody so he had to leave the room for her. He had even advised her to go to her study and do whatever she wanted to do but she said no that the room was more comfortable for her.
'Nothing, it's just that I finished with what I was doing so I wanted to inform you of something very important." She explained to him in a calm tone and also with a serious look on her face.
'Oh really, congratulations." He told her joyfully.
'Thanks love." She replied happily with a big smile on her face.
'You are welcome darling, so what's the important thing you want to inform me about?" He asked her in a calm and serious tone.
'See how eager you are to hear what the important thing is. Well it is not only important, it is also very good news." She told him excitedly.
'Hmm you are making my ears inch me please go ahead and see it already." Riel said to her, he was so eager and excited to hear what good news she had because it has been awhile since they heard good news in the mansion. It has been from one bad news to a much worse one.
'Okay, without wasting any more of your time. I am so glad and happy to announce to you that Mr Paul has accepted our invitation and g he has agreed to have a meeting with us." She announced excitedly as they both jumped up and hugged themselves.
'Oh my God! I am so happy for you darling." He said to her as they stopped jumping and held each other's hands.
Mr Paul was one of the well known and respected businessmen in the country, he used to work for Desse grandfather before he died and he has also worked with a lot of multi million brands and Desse has always wished to work with him. He was also said to be a psychologist who was also blessed with spiritual eyes and healing hands so he would be of a great help to Louis's sickness.
'Thanks darling, I am so happy he is coming because I have put in too much effort to make sure things workout as planned. I just pray he doesn't change his mind for any reason whatsoever." Desse said to Riel as she held his hands and looked deeply into her eyes.
'I also pray so, but we need to toast to this good news first." Riel said as he pick up his cup of the juice
While Desse also poured the juice in the empty cup on the table. They both cheer for the good news.
They were already done toasting so they decided to sit down and talk more.
'Finally darling we will get the cure to our son's sickness." She said joyfully.
'Yes darling, finally we will get the cure to his sickness. Because I know Mr Paul is really perfect for things like that." He said to her happily.
'I know right, I am actually using one stone to kill two birds because he would partner with me and also heal our son darling. I am so happy right now that words can't even express how I feel." Desse said happily as she tried so hard to hold back her tears.
'You always make me a proud husband." He said to her when he noticed she was about to cry so she could stop and smile.
'Get us a red wine." Desse ordered one of the maids she sighted.
'You really know the right way to celebrate." Riel teased her.
She brought the wine and they both toasted to the good news.
