Chapter 93

Desse sat with Desire at the sitting room. The entire building was so quiet making it more boring than it already is.
'I can't believe this is only a few days pregnancy and it's all like three months." Desse complained.
' You are supposed to be happy for that." Desire convinced.
' No, I am not. This is weird, okay. Maybe by next week, it's gonna look like nine months pregnancy, who knows? '
' Then you'll give birth and everyone will be so happy, including his majesty."
' Thanks for the reminder, but it still doesn't change any thing. I know I'm a mutant and my gene is totally different from any normal woman yet, I feel strange with that. I'm not ready to deliver. The pains, the force, the screams, and the rest of them. . . I'm just not ready for all that. '
' You might be surprised, you won't have to pass through those to give birth. You're a mutant, you just said that yourself. You don't have to use force or scream, you just have to let it flow out of you."
' It's so easy to say that."
' Because you can do it. You have the power to do it."
Desse touched her head, groaning. ' Aahh!! 'She screamed as she held her head firmly like it was gonna fall off if she let's go. 'Oh my gosh!"
'Jane, what's wrong?" She asked, rushing towards her. 'What's happening to you? '
But Desse kept screaming softly in pains." I鈥� I鈥� I think I'm gonna pass out."
'You what?"
Everywhere became black. She knew she was back in the multi universe. Everything was dark, there was nothing to see.
She kept walking around but there still was nothing to see in the multi universe.
'Hello?" She called. 'Hello? Guardian angel!! Are you there?!" There came no reply. 'Shit!!" She cursed. ' This is crazy. '
'It is not. You were called here for a reason." Said her guardian angel.
' What reason? 'She asked.
' To see the real evil." He replied.
' Sophie?"
' She's here."
Desse looked around. 'I can't see her."
'Not right here, I meant in the fortress. Though she is still on here way, but you have to be ready."
' Why so soon? 'She asked. ' I know the date did change but. . . it shouldn't have been today."
' It doesn't matter whether it's soon or not, you have to be ready to face this battle and to protect your child."
Desse touched her stomach. ' She knows, doesn't she?"
'Not yet, but she will soon. And when she does, she will do whatever it takes to get ride of the child, you don't have to let her do it. Protect the baby, and everyone else. ' He warned.
' So what now?" She asked again.
' You're returning back to earth. Take good care of yourself. We'll see when the war is over."
' Hold on before you leave, how fierce is this war?" She asked.
' That's up to you, Jane. What happens when two giants fight? '
' The earth trembles? 'She said, almost like a question.
' That's what is about to happen now. You have to return to earth now, she's getting closer. ' He touched her forehead with the tip of his first finger.
Desse gasp back to life, staring around the room. 'She's here. She's here." She repeated.
'I don't understand. Who's here? And what the heck just happened to you?"
' It's a long story." She sighed. ' I went to the multi universe, and I was told that Sophie is on her way to the fortress."
' You went to the multi universe? I鈥� I. . . I don't understand. Is this part of the complicated stuffs of your life you wanted to tell me about? You bursting in and out of the multi universe?"
' Yes, that's it."
' Okay. So what now? What are we going to do?" She asked, curiously.
' I don't know for now. I have to meet with Riel now, he must have come up with a plan."
Desse stood up, about to leave when Desire called her. ' Are you ready for this? Sophie is a witch and you only have gifts, do you think you can face this alone?"
' I believe I can. I don't care about the difference, I will make sure I stop Sophie and her evil plans once and for all."
' You will need help with that." Someone said, and they looked around to see who it was.
Nancy appeared behind her. 'I'm right behind you, Jane." She said with the widest smile on her face.
Desse turned her back, her heart skipped in excitement to see Nancy. But somehow, she was surprised to.
'Nancy? How鈥� How is it possible? How did you get to know this place?" She stuttered.
'At first, I felt pained leaving the White Sister's Home but on the other hand, I found out that it was for my own good too. I discovered something else about myself, and I knew it would be a lot useful to help you. Since that night you told me about the witch who turns out to be your enemy, I felt like I needed to help, to prove how grateful I am for healing me back."
Desse chuckled, smiling. ' Thanks for coming." Nancy looked at Desire who was sternly staring back at her. ' We'll keep the introduction for next time. Why don't we first come up with plan A?"
' What's plan A?" Asked Nancy.
' I have to talk to my husband and we come up with a plan. And plan B. . . It's up to us." She left to meet Riel who was heading back to his room.
'So, you're the new friend Jane talked about." Desire said, still maintaining the long stare.
'Never thought she'd talk about me."
'Well, she didn't have a conversation about you but," she shrugs, ' she did say she made new friends. I think she was trying to keep it personal."
' I guess so too. So, while she's talking to her husband, why don't we get to know each other? I'm Nancy Brett, and you're?"
' Desire Skelton."
' Nice meeting you, Desire"
' You too, Nancy."

'Ray?" She called. 'Ray?" He stopped walking, turning to look at her.
'Jane?"
'Ray, she's coming. My friend, he told me. She's on her way, very close to the fortress. Have you come up with a plan yet?" She asked, breathing heavily.
' Yes. My armies will surround the fortress as soon as she enters. The battle is between the both of you, we'll only serve as assistant to you. But first, are you ready for this?"
Desse nodded her head with confidence. ' I am ready."
'Good. You will have to go to the ceremony hall, as soon as she tracks you, it will be easy for her to find you and then she won't know what is happening outside."
Desse nodded in agreement. ' What about you?" She asked.
'Don't worry about me, worry about about the child. I'll be fine." He kissed her for seconds before breaking it. ' I promise."
She forced a smile on her face. 'Okay. I have to go now." She first went to meet the Nancy and Desire. ' I've talked to him, he did came up with a brilliant idea."
' What's the plan? ' Desire asked, inquisitively.
' I'll be the distraction then he'll surround the fortress with his armies. And while Sophie and I will be with our business, I'll need you Nancy to help me with some thing." She requested.
' Some thing like what?" Asked Nancy.
' I thought of this, I will create an illusion of her past and when she falls into this illusion, I want you Nancy to get ride of her."
' Direct through the chest." Nancy added.
' Or head, any can serve." Looks at Desire, ' You find some where to hide."
Desire nodded. ' Okay."
Turns her gaze to Nancy. ' Let's go."
As soon as she got to the ceremonial hall, not even up to minutes, Sophie appeared on the same red shade attire.
She looked ten times beautiful than before. She was more of the definition of a goddess, and every man's dream.
'Just as I expected to see you. Hello, Mrs Rutherford." She greeted with a smile.
'So you came."
' Yeah, I finally did. I hope your marriage has been going perfectly fine without me?" She laughed.
' It's been going great without you."
' I can see that. Even the baby is really kicking. How is he? 'She points to her stomach.
' It's none of your business, what do you want?" She snarled.
'Like I once told you, Jane, I want that throne. I am meant to be the queen and not you. The Rutherford name belongs to me and not you. How many times do I have to explain that to you?"
' Once. Look, Sophie, I don't know if anyone has ever told you, you don't deserve to be loved. You're wasting your time. You might be the most beautiful woman on earth, but inside of you is totally darkness. And just in case you don't know, I don't fear you. Be you a witch or what-so-ever you call your damn self, I do not care. 'She said in between teeth.
Sophie clapped her hands, then shoved a strand of her hair to the back of her ear. 'Well, that was a good speech, I'd admit. I don't think I care about anyone loving me the way I am or what I am, I can get the love twice as much as I want.
So get that at the back of your empty skull. On the other hand, a big congratulations on your new found gift. I'm really impressed about that."
' Keep that to yourself. You have a chance to leave and never come back, and I will act like nothing happened between us. Or, we end this the way you want. Your choice. '
' My choice? 'She bit her finger. ' I choose the second choice, let's just end this once and for all."
They were staring at each other for long with anger boldly written on their faces but none has made a move to attack each other.
Sophie laughed. 'Honestly, Jane, I am not gonna do this. You know I would have ended your life right now and here but. . . I just figured out some times, we have to let go of our past.
I'm not scared of you killing me, I'm just scared of having my agendas unfinished. Though you were once one of them, but. . . I changed my mind. Your powers are beyond what I expected. They are the greatest gift I have ever seen.
I know you are strong enough to kill me even before I say a spell on you. We just have to know one thing, Jane, we are of no match to each other. I know this is fate, we have always been destined to have this battle, we can change it too.
Jane, we were given our gifts for a purpose. To fight evil, I know. Aside that, our gifts can do a lot better than just hurting ourselves. We both have reasons to live, we all do.
From the start, you were meant to be with Matt and not Riel. Your duty to Riel was to save him from his bondage, but the moment I walked into Matt's life, I changed that fate. I knew what I did, I was so desperate to be with him. And I had him to myself.
Now you have Riel with you, with me standing right here for destiny to prevail, so will I change this fate. I will reconsider your deal, I will leave this place and never come back and we will both live our lives like we never existed to each other. Deal? '
Desse thought over the idea, it's been what she wanted. To end this without any bloodshed.
She nodded in agreement to the deal. 'Fine. We end this now and live our lives like we never existed to each other. Deal." She said sternly.
' I love the sound of that. So, we call this a good bye then."
Desse shrugged.
' When he grows up, tell him I said hello." She said, referring to her baby.
'I will."
'We keep our odds behind us, though I won't say that makes us friends, at least not yet. I hope to see you someday, with our odds behind us. Good bye, Desse Rutherford." With that, she vanished into the thin air.
Desse walked to the door, she opened it glaring at the faces staring back at her. And just two words she said to them.
'It's Over."
Desse POV
Desire looked so confused, I can obviously tell from her face. She wants to ask. She desperately do but kept it to herself.
But I know her more than anyone, she wouldn't keep it to herself for long.
'When you said 鈥榠t's over,' do you mean like over-over or it's over like, you killed her?" She asked.
' We didn't fight ourselves, we understood each other. We saw reasons why we have to stay alive and move on. So, we made a deal, she goes and we will live out lives like we never existed to each other."
' She accepted? 'Riel asked.
' She accepted. No one deserves to die just like that, we all have a second chance. We both deserve to have a second chance. We all do. Some one once told me; 'Light and darkness has nothing to do with each other." I guess that's exactly what happened between us."
Two white figures appeared behind Riel, Desire and Nancy. They can't see this white figures except I. The Moon Goddess was smiling at me and I did the same to her.
She was the one who thought me those words, I will never forget that.
And to my guardian angel, did I ever mention he is the best protector I have ever had??
Well, that should be our little secret. Don't tell Riel I said that.
