Chapter 102

Christabel stepped out of the house angrily, the moment she stepped out her driver knew she was going out so he rushed into the car.
She entered the car and he drove her out of the house.
'Where are we headed?" The driver asked Christabel while he was driving. Christabel had nowhere to visit so she told the driver to take her back home.
The driver turned back to see if his boss was really okay.
He reversed and took Christabel back to the house. When Christabel got back she stood outside and peeped if her grandparents are in the sitting room.
When she peeped she saw them watching a movie so she removed her slippers and sneaked into the house.
Christabel got to the room and shut the door immediately. Then she got an email that her dress will be brought to the house in an hour. After seeing the mail she laid on the bed and slept off.
Few hours later she woke up, it was already evening. She checked the time and realized the dress was supposed to have arrived. She jumped up from her bed and opened the door.
Christabel was shocked to see the order in front of her room. She picked the box and entered the room. She opened the box to see what's inside.
It was exactly what she ordered.
'I love it." Christabel said to herself with a bright smile on her face. She brought out the red dress and took a good look at it.
'This is beautiful." Christabel said while looking at the dress. She walked to the mirror with the dress. When she stood in front of the mirror all of a sudden memories of herself with Alpha James rushed back.
Christabel remembered how obsessed Alpha James is with red dresses and she is sure he will be at the party tomorrow. Christabel dropped the dress in her wardrobe and went to bed. She doesn't want to be reminded of anything that'll make her remember Alpha James.
The next morning. Christabel woke up tired, she stretched her hand to grab her phone and she saw the time and noticed she was up early. She laid back on the bed because she was too tired to stand up.
She suddenly remembered Mira will be returning today.
'Oh my god!" Christabel shouted and jumped up from the bed, the moment she stood up she heard her phone ring.
'I knew she'll be waiting already." Christabel said to herself when she checked abs saw the caller is Mira.
Christabel picked the call immediately.
'Hi Mira." Christabel said the moment she picked the call.
'Where are you? I have been waiting here, at the airport." Mira scolded angrily. Christabel wore her slippers immediately and started running downstairs with her pajamas.
'I'm on my way darling." Christabel said to Mira and hung up immediately to avoid hearing more queries from her. Christabel got outside and called the attention of the driver and the moment he came out he drove Christabel to the airport.
Few minutes later they got to the airport. Christabel got out of the car the moment they got to the airport. The moment Mira sighted her she walked to where was standing.
'Seriously? You came to pick me up wearing that?" Mira asked Christabel unbelievably.
Both of them hugged and walked back to the car. They talked all through their way back to the house. When they got to the house Christabel's grandparents were already up. When she saw this she looked for a way to leave them with Mira and luckily she succeeded.
'I did it." Christabel said and laid back on the bed. She sighted the red dress while she was laying on the bed, and suddenly she thought of getting another dress that has another color because the red dress reminds her of Alpha James too much.
'Why did you leave me there like that?" Mira asked Christabel and walked into the room. Christabel's attention in the cloth was diverted immediately.
'I wanted to give you space to talk to them well." Christabel lied. Mira smiled when she heard what Christabel said.
'Or you were running away from them." Mira said and laughed out loud, Christabel didn't bother defending herself because there was no lie in what Mira said to her.
Mira sighted the red dress and she stood up immediately.
'Oh my!" Mira walked closer to the dress. 'This is beautiful." Mira added.
'I got it for the launch party." Christabel explained in a sad face.
'So鈥� what's with that face?" Mira asked when she noticed Christabel was suddenly sad.
'I want a different dress." Mira was shocked to hear what Christabel said.
'No, this is perfect." Mira tried to convince Christabel.
'Yes I know, but I don't want it anymore." Christabel insisted, Mira looked at the dress and started wondering what might be wrong with the dress.
'Is it the color?" Mira asked Christabel. Christabel nodded her head.
'It reminds me of him." Christabel complained to Mira. Christabel had gone on different dates but she was unable to love anyone talk more about forgetting Alpha James.
'That doesn't stop you from slaying, make him know that you no longer care about his existence." Mira tried to convince Christabel.
'I promise, I want to do all that but I just can't." Christabel Insisted. Christabel added, 'You know I have tried but the more I try different things keep bringing back the old wound." Christabel said to Mira while trying not to cry.
'I understand you but this dress, you're not changing it," Mira said to Christabel and dropped the dress back.
The maid brought Christabel breakfast to the room because she can't stand eating on the same dining with her grandparents, they'll not let her rest, they keep insisting she gets married.
It was finally evening. Christabel already had her makeup on, she stood in front of the mirror holding the red dress on her hand. She watched herself wear the dress.
While she was wearing the dress she promised herself the dress will not remind her of Alpha James in any way.
'Wow!" Mira shouted when she saw how beautiful the dress looked on Christabel's body.
Christabel shyly turned to look at her, Kira looks said it all.
Christabel picked her purse and looked at herself in the mirror again.
Christabel walked out of the room and slowly walked downstairs so she wouldn't trip and fall.
When she got to the sitting room, she was happy her grandparents were not there. Christabel hugged Mira and walked out of the house.
'I hope she finds her mate there." Christabel's grandmother said a prayer and walked back to her room.
When Christabel got to the party venue she saw how beautiful the place looked, she was showed her table and she walked to her table immediately.
Christabel looked around and there was no sign of Alpha James in the venue. She thought it'll make her happy but unknowing to her that his absence will make her this sad.
She stood up while they announced the new product. It was during the announcement that her eyes met with Diego the CEO of a multimillionaire company.
He is the CEO of the product that's been launched, sge was honored to even see his face, she looked away immediately. But it was different for Diego.
That view of her face couldn't leave his head. After the announcement of the product he kept looking for a way to get close to her.
Christabel was no longer feeling comfortable in the party so she left. The party was not really what she thought it'll be. While she thought she was going to try and make new friends, she realized they all want to be her friend.
Diego finally got time to try speak to Christabel but she was nowhere to be found at that time Christabel was on her way home already.
'Who is she?" Diego asked himself and went back to thank everyone for honoring his invitation.
Christabel finally got home, she was shocked to see everyone waiting for her on the sitting room.
They already agreed that they are not going to say anything about getting married to her but they were hoping she'll finally meet her mate in the party.
'What's going on here?" Christabel asked them when she saw the way they were staring at her. Mira knew she'll be in trouble if she dared speak.
'Nothing, we were waiting for you to rerun, how was the party?" Mira asked Christabel hoping Christabel will talk of a guy that she thinks she like in the party.
'It was nice and boring." Christabel said to Mira and tried to walk away from the sitting room.
'Did you see anyone you like?" Christabel grandmother asked l. Christabel paused walking and suddenly became angry.
Christabel grandparents are only worried because they know that deep down Christabel wants a man that she will love because If she was not interested she'll not attend all those dates.
'Grandma please can we not start?" Christabel said to her grandmother and walked away.
Diego asked for a clip of the party from the CCTV the moment he sighted Christabel he told them to pause.
'Find out who this lady is." Diego said to his secretary and started staring at Christabel through the CCTV
'Even though she looked sad she still looks very beautiful." Diego said to himself while looking at the picture.
