Chapter 98

Christabel woke up tiredly on the bed. She was weak but she had to stand up so she would not miss her flight, so she picked up the phone and checked the time.
'Oh my!" She shouted and jumped up from the bed when she noticed she overslept. She rushed into the shower to take her bath, when she was done she dressed up and picked her boxes then she walked out of the hotel room.
When she got out of the hotel room she walked to the counter and dropped the room key, after dropping the room key she exited the building and a cab drove her to the airport, she picked her phone and tried calling Alpha James but he was not picking the call.
Christabel was excited about visiting Alpha James because they have not seen each other in about three months because she was out of the country on a business trip.
A few hours later she arrived at San Francisco, she was happy to be back to her country and this time she is returning to get married. When she got out of the airport her driver was waiting outside for her, the moment he sighted her, he rushed towards her and collected the boxes from her.
She walked to the car and entered without waiting for the driver to open the door for her. She waited in the car until the driver was done putting her things in the car booth. When he was done they zoomed out of the airport.
While she was heading to James house she tried calling him but he was still not picking, she was getting worried already because she has not spoken to Alpha James for three days and he is not aware of her sudden return. She suddenly thought it'd be better if she didn't try calling him but instead let her surprise him.
'I wonder why he is not picking my calls." Christabel said to herself and looked outside through the car window. A few minutes later they arrived at Alpha James house. When she got to his house she told her driver not to drive in so that Alpha James would be surprised to see her. She got out of the car without her boxes and walked into the mansion.
She stood outside and she suddenly realized how much she missed visiting Alpha James, she continued walking after looking around, while she was going in she saw Alpha James favorite car so she was sure he was home.
Christabel stood in front of the door and wanted to knock but she remembered she wanted to surprise Alpha James so she did not bother knocking she opened the door, at first she was surprised the door wasn't locked but she decided not to think too much about it and just go in.
She looked around the sitting room but Alpha James was not there as this is really unlike him, she walked to his chamber but he was not there, she wanted to ask some of the Omegas that were passing but she decided not to.
'Why is he not here? It's really unlike him to stay in his room." Christabel said to herself while standing in the sitting room, she was offered a cup of juice by one of the Omegas but she refused it nicely.
She picked her phone again to see if she missed any call from Alpha James, she noticed there was no missed call.
'Where will he be? I saw his favorite car outside so he's definitely at home." Christabel said to herself and looked upstairs. She suddenly thought maybe he might be in his room.
'I think it's better I check his room." Christabel said to herself, she was already getting worried because she didn't know if he was really okay or not.
She decided to go upstairs and check if he was in his room.
'Luna I'm happy to see you here again." A voice from behind said to Christabel When she was about to head upstairs, she turned back and saw a cute little girl. Christabel smiled when she recognized the girl.
'Look how big you have become in just three months." Christabel bent down and said to the little girl, the girl is the daughter of an Omega in the house, but she was able to get a soft spot in Alpha James' heart because of how smart she is.
Alpha James don't treat the little girl like a slave instead he treats her like his daughter. The little slave lived like royalty thought her parents still serve as slaves.
'I missed you a lot." The Little girl said to Christabel with a smile on her face, Christabel smiled when she heard this then she put her hand on the girl's face. Christabel suddenly remembered she was heading upstairs earlier to go check on Alpha James.
Christabel stood up and turned to go upstairs when the little girl held her hands. Christabel turned back to look at the little girl and she was wondering why the girl is stopping her from going upstairs.
'Do you want anything?" Christabel asked the little girl when she saw the look on the girl's face. The girl nodded her head saying no.
'Are you going to see Alpha James?" The little girl asked Christabel, Christabel was shocked to hear the little girl ask her such a question.
'Yes I am." Christabel replied to the girl with a smile on her face though she found the question weird. The girl was still holding her hand trying to stop her from going upstairs, Christabel was slowly getting frustrated by the little girl's character.
'Why does she keep stopping me from going upstairs?" Christabel asked herself not to vent on the girl because she was very worried about Alpha James already.
'Please don't go upstairs." The little girl said to Christabel trying to stop her from going upstairs. Christabel was wondering what's wrong with the little girl, she removed the girl's hand from her hand and started walking upstairs.
At a point she stopped walking she was still trying to think of a good reason why the girl was stopping her from going upstairs, she turned back to look at the little girl and she saw that the girl was still looking at her.
Christabel turned front and looked at Alpha James room from where she was standing, after hesitating for a while sh finally decided to go to the room.
Christabel stood in front of the door and she noticed the excitement she was coming with earlier had already reduced, she was wondering maybe it's because of what the little girl said to her.
Christabel was about to knock on the door when she suddenly thought of just going inside without knocking. Her excitement suddenly returned as she thought of how excited Alpha James will be to see her again.
She finally opened the door after hesitating for a while. Christabel opened the door with a big smile on her face. She was very excited that it was obvious on her face, but the moment she opened the door her smile faded, she rolled her eyes unbelievably.
She looked like she had seen a ghost, she started moving back slowly.
'No, No this is not true." Christabel said to herself while walking backwards, she looked at the bed again and ran out of the room as tears welled down her eyes
