Chapter 8
Chapter 8
Riel was hoping to get a good news from Eric and everyone that went in search of Louis.
Meanwhile, Desse was so quiet that Riel was wondering what must be going through her mind that's making her very quiet.
She didn't say anything to Riel the whole time she was sitting on the couch. Riel wanted to ask her if she is okay but from what's going on no one will be okay in such condition.
"Are we really going to sit and do nothing?" Desse said to Riel. Riel was relieved to hear her say something finally, but thinking about what she said, she was saying the truth.
He also thought it's very unwise of them to sit and do nothing when their son is missing.
"I can't do this anymore." Desse said to herself and stood up from where she was sitting.
Riel wanted to stop her but he decided not to because he'll only make matters worse by doing so.
He sighed and sat down properly he was thinking of where Louis can be before he takes a step.
Desse started walking round the house, she checked everywhere she already checked before but her son was still nowhere to be found.
She passed a room that was half opened then she realized she never checked that particular room when she was going round so she decided to go in.
When she entered the room it's an abandoned room in the house, it's the room of Riel's brother when they were younger, and no one is allowed to go into the room.
"Desse." Riel called her name and immediately she rushed out of the room, from the way he sounded she was hoping to hear good news about her boy from him.
"Have they found him?" Desse asked the moment she got to the sitting room. She looked at their faces and she felt could guess their reply already.
"Oh my god, where is my son." Desse said to herself and placed her hand on her chest, everyone in the house pitied her because they knew what she might be going through when her only child is missing.
"Everyone go back to your duty post." Riel ordered and immediately they all went to start their work.
Eric was disappointed at the fact that he couldn't help Riel in this type of situation, now that Riel need him.
"I'm sorry brother." Eric said to Riel, with the look on Riel's face Eric could te he wasn't happy at all.
"Where could he be, there's no way he'll leave the house without being noticed by anyone." Eric said to Desse and Riel. When Desse heard this she raised her head to look at Eric.
"That's true, he has to be in this house." Eric added. It was slowly making sense to Desse as she was listening to what they were saying.
"But we searched everywhere already," Riel said. Desse was weak again when she remembered they searched everywhere.
"Everywhere? Are you sure you didn't skip any room?" Eric asked both of them to be sure there's still hope he might be in the house.
"Yes we didn't skip any."
"Yes we skipped a room." Desse interrupted Riel the moment she remembered the room she entered before Riel called her.
Riel was shocked because he remembered they searched everywhere thoroughly.
"There is no way we skipped any room." Riel said. He was very sure they didn't skip any room.
"We didn't check the abandoned room." When Desse said this Riel was shocked. He was trying to think of which abandoned room she is talking about.
"No! Never! No one will go I to that room, I have said this before and I'm saying it again." Desse was shocked at Riel's outburst, she was not expecting sucj reaction from him.
"I saw the room opened, Louis might be there." Riel was shocked to hear that the door was opened because he locked the door himself so how is it opened?
"Let's go check he might be there," Eric said the them and immediately Desse stood up from where she was sitting. Riel followed immediately.
They headed to the room, it was very dusty and unkempt. It's abandoned so it wasn't shocking how dirty it looked.
They tried escaping the cobwebs that covered the room. They looked around the room but there was no one there.
"I told you there is no way my son will be here." Riel said to Eric and Desse.
He turned around to walk out of the room without waiting to hear what Desse and Eric have to say.
"Mom, dad." The voice of a little boy stopped him. The boy sounded exactly like Louis.
Desse was shocked to see him she used her hand to cover her mouth. Riel turned back to see his son standing and his cloth covered with blood.
"What happened to you Louis?" Desse asked him.
