Chapter 31
Desse and Riel were in the sitting room waiting patiently for the maid's mother and the psychologist they had invited earlier to come to the mansion. Suddenly they had noise coming from the gate side. It sounded like two people when where having misunderstanding.
'What is going on again? Do you hear those sounds like a woman arguing with one of the security." Riel asked Desse.
'Yes, I am hearing the same sound but who could it be and what would they probably be arguing about." She replied to him.
'What could it be again because these past few days it has been from one problem to the other." Riel murmured.
He signaled one of the guards who was standing at the entrance of the living room to check what was going on and what the fight was all about. The guard immediately went to carry out the instructions as ordered.
Few minutes later he came back and told them that the security was arguing with a woman who claimed to be the late maid's Mum but the guard said she should wait while he come and inform you and also ask you if you asked her to come to the mansion.
'What? the late maid's Mum is here and nobody told us about it and we are here waiting for her. Why didn't he let her in?" Desse asked him angrily as she stood up to go outside and see the woman.
Riel also followed at the back as she walked fast to go and stop the security and allow her in immediately.
'I said leave me the Alpha and his wife invited me over they said it was urgent. And wouldn't you let me in when you know fully well that my daughter works here. I said, ``Let me in." The woman shouted as she tried all efforts to force herself in.
Desse stopped at the entrance of the house and watched the woman a little bit. She saw how the woman looked m, she was now even more scared to tell the woman that her daughter she was bragging about was already dead and that was the reason why they sent for her. Desse pitied the woman. Riel noticed that the woman was stressing her herself too much and Desse was deep in thought. He just held her in her shoulder to bring her mind back.
'What is going on over there? Let her in, we sent for her." Riel commanded the security.
The woman was so happy to see them. She smiled and insulted the security who held her and stopped from going in.
'Good afternoon Alpha, good afternoon Luna." The woman bowed down and greeted them the moment she came closer to where they were.
They all went in, the woman sat down on one of the chair in the living room while Desse and Riel did the same.
'This is indeed a palace, sorry I meant mansion." She said to them as she kept on staring round.
'Your mansion is really beautiful and big Sir and Ma, now I see why people call it paradise." The woman complimented the mansion while still looking round.
'Thank you very much Ma." Riel replied to her.
Desse was still silent as she kept on looking at the woman. The woman was so happy and excited to come to the mansion, it was her first time entering the mansion and it was for them to tell her that her day was dead.
'Hmmm鈥� l am sorry if I am a bit lousy it just that I am really excited." She apologized for her being clumsy.
'No no no, you don't have to be sorry." Riel assured her.
There was a few minutes silence, Riel keep on breathing hard while Desse was signing. They kept on passing who was going to break the bad new to the woman.
'Is there any problem?" The woman asked her when she noticed the way they were behaving.
'No ma, there is no problem. It just tha鈥� hmmm鈥�" Desse stammered.
The woman noticed the tension on their faces and became bothered.
'Please hope all is well, is there any problem?" The woman asked worriedly.
'Hmmm鈥� Ma" Riel said and took a deep breath.
'Actually Ma, we are so sorry to inform you tha鈥� that your daughter who used to work for us here as one of our鈥� maids鈥� is 鈥mm.." Desse stammered.
'What is wrong with my daughter? Is she sick? Did she offend you ? Pls can someone take me? And why did you use the word used is she no longer working with you? Please answer me" the woman asked in a very long tone as she stood up.
The chair was too hurt for the woman she was seriously shaking, her hands were shaking and her legs were vibrating.
'Ma we are so sorry to inform you that we lost your daughter yesterday." Riel broke the news when he noticed Desse was not going to do so any time soon.
The woman was so shocked because she didn't imagine it.
'You lost my daughter, how?" She ask still in shock.
'Na what I meant was that your daughter is dead" he said.
The woman fainted immediately after she got the news.
Desse and Riel quickly revived her back by using the first aid.
The woman was back to life but couldn't say a word. The news was so shocking to her. She just kept on crying. Desse who was also very emotional started crying with the woman, Riel tried comforting her while maids in the mansion who were very close to the girl came to console the woman.
'What are we going to do about the woman? I think she is still in deep shock." Riel asked Desse as he handed over a handkerchief to her so she could wipe her tears.
'I swear, I don't know seeing her like this really hurts me." She replied him in a shakily tone as she use the handkerchiefs he gave her to wipe her tears gently.
They both stopped what they were doing and watched the woman.
