Chapter 85

She woke up, packed her her bag up to her shoulder. She kicked off the lights, leaving smokes leaving from the wood sticks she had used to create the fire.
If her vision were real, then that means Desire was right about earlier.
King Riel was the most important part. She remembered back then at the garden the previous day when he did made mention of her looking familiar.
And the only thing that keeps repeating in her head over and over again is the fact that she has to go back.
She took off, heading back to the castle. Poor thing she couldn't recognize her way back home, she was stucked in the woods moving in circles.
'Fu*k, where have I gotten myself to?" She cursed, halting as her eyes moved around the woods.
She tore the end of her fabric, tying it around a stick to know if she was actually walking in circles.
She continued.
And when she returned back to the same place where she had tied the fabric, she fell in frustration.
'What is wrong with me?!" She grunted, sadly. 'Why can't I remember this hell of a place?"
There was a bear which approached her from the back, it had black furs with dark golden eyes.
It was walking silently not to cause a noise and Desse seemed not to have noticed this coming.
She was still complaining upon complains on how to get the hell out of there.
When the bear rowled, she sighed. 'Not now."
She wasn't actually listening to the voice, was she? Or was she thinking it was a human voice?
The bear rowled again, 'I said not now." It came to her senses that she was the only one in the middle of nowhere. 'Hold on, what was that sound?"
She sat up, turning her back to see the wild bear slowly walking towards her, eyes hungrily devouring her.
'Jesus Christ, what the heck are you?" She stood up from the ground, taking hold of her bag. 'I'm gonna die! I'm gonna die! Somebody help me!"
She took to her heels. While she ran, the bear chased her. It was then she believed she could cover a distance in just less than a second.
The sound of the bear was growing near, the footsteps approaching closer to her.
'Someone help me stop that thing! Desire! Desire for goddamn sake answer me?! ' She looked back, the bear was getting closer and closer.
'Oh no!" She increased her pace, running tirelessly with every strength she's got.
The beast threw itself high, about to land on her. She made a left turn, luckily escaping it's teeth but it gave her a scratch on her back.
'Arrggh!!" She cried, falling to the ground.
She stood up to continue, not minding the pain she felt on her back, she didn't stop from running.
Her blood was rolling out of her wounds. She was loosing so much blood, and it was making her weak.
'Somebody help鈥 me鈥" She moaned.
She looked back, the beast wasn't making any attempt to stop.
Her speed was slowing down, her breath growing slow. She fell to the ground, was this her period of dying?
The bear rushed to her. 'Please鈥 Please鈥 don't." Her eyes blinked slowly.
Before the beast could make it on her, something鈥 or someone dashed to it.
She couldn't see who or what it was as everything was growing blur to her eyes.
The figure stood before her. That was the last thing she saw before she passed out.
He held her back, he felt something liquid on her dress. He turned her to see what it was, her blood stained almost half of her dress.
The scratch was so deep, almost reached to her dermis. He carried her up into his arms, not minding her blood staining against his cloth.
Every second he would look at her face, he has never imagined himself staring at her face. He has never even thought he would have her in his arms.
He hated his fault. It was all his fault things happened. He was angry, so angry at his brother and all he had to do was to vent his anger on her.

She woke up with a soft moan, touching the side of her neck. She was back in her room, right on her bed.
She stepped out of the bed, heading towards the standing mirror to take a view of her wound.
She shifted the collar of her gown to the side, revealing the wound. It was covered with a white bandage, making it impossible to see the wound.
She shifted her collar back in position, heading for the door. She was going to Riel's chamber.
She stood before his door, there were noticeable changes on it. And the written inscription of his name were now in a polished golden colour.
She touched the door, this time there wasn't a flower nor broken walls, they were decorated walls and furnished couch's with king sized bed.
She sighed. Indeed, he is back.
'Desse, you're awake!" She flinched by the sound of Desire's voice.
' Come on, Desire, do you really have to shout?" She said, calming her heart down. 'You scared me, you know."
'That was the only way to express how happy I am to see you. So tell me, how do you feel? '
' I feel much better, just the pains that's all. '
' You know, I would have said a sorry to you but, I don't think that's necessary anymore. '
' It still is. I don't think it's too late for that either, besides, I still feel pains at my back. '
' I think the right phrase for that is, you deserve it."
' What? '
' Yes. You are always proving stubborn and each time when you prove your stubborn and annoying attitudes, you always end up making the wrong choices. '
' I don't make the wrong choices. '
' Maybe, you don't but the last one you made didn't go well. Take a look at your back, Jane, you're hurt. You don't have to keep running away from your destiny. '
' I know. I just鈥 I just wanted to go home, that's all. '
' You lost your real home a month ago. If there's any place to call your home, it's this place. Your home is here, Jane, with us." She smiled, ' And with him too. '
' Him? ' She made a confused face.
Desire gave her an eye sigh behind her. She turned, her eyes widened immediately she looked at Riel approaching towards his room.
He was discussing with his guard so he didn't notice them. 'I'm very sure he will be so delighted to see you." She said happily.
She turned back to Desire who was smiling happily. ' Well, I am not. I have to get out of here now. ' She walks away but Desire held her back.
' No, Jane, you have to stay. At least, have two or more words with him. He saved you from that animal, he has to know you're awake and probably you remember him too. '
' No way. He mustn't know I remember him. '
' Jesus Christ, Jane, do you have to be this annoying? '
'Yes, Desire, yes. You don't understand why I have to be so hidden to him. I don't want him to know I remember him, and I don't want you telling him either."
' You're gonna hurt him if you do that. '
' I know. I mean, I don't care." She sighed.
' You're scared of him, aren't you. You still think he's gonna kill you. '
' He said it himself. Right now, all I can see in him is the monster he was." Shook her head, ' I don't wanna keep seeing him as that monster."
' Then you have to stop seeing him as that. You have to start believing in the human part of him. '
' Do you think I love this? I'm trying, and I haven't stop trying鈥 I just鈥 I just don't know. I can't bear to look at his face, the fear, horror, it's all there. '
' He's right behind you. '
' What? ' She whispered. ' How close is he?"
'Very close."
'Like how many inches close?"
'Three or two. Possibly an inch close."
Desse's eyes flew open. ' Oh no, you should have left me to go when I wanted to." She whispered.
'It's not my fault. We were solving some little argument, remember?"
' I hate you for this, Desire. '
' And I love you too." She winked.
' Desire? ' Alpha Riel called, surprised to see her.
'Your Majesty," she bowed, smiling.
His eyes moved to the side, Desse was still backing him. She slowly turned to him, 'Your Majesty." She greeted with a bow.
Alpha Riel was so happy but didn't want to express it. But one can see the little smile on his lips.
'How do you feel?" He asked.
'Much better. I heard it was you who saved my life, thank you." She bowed again.
'It's nothing serious."
' It is to me. Who knows what could have happened to me back there at the woods? Thanks once again, Your Majesty." She bowed for the third time.
' I think I should get going, I've got some unfinished works to do."
Desse opened her eyes, throwing her a hard gaze. Desire smirked at her with a wink. She signaled the guard to give them some privacy.
She looked at him, faking a smile on her face. 'Well, you look familiar to me. We've met鈥 where again. Urgh, I can't remember鈥 '
' At the garden." He reminded.
' Yes. Yes, the garden. I just realized that I didn't get to know your name either."
' My name is Riel." He told her.
' Wow. That's a nice but weird name."
He chuckled.
' Well, I see you're heading to your room, maybe I should head back to mine. It's nice meeting you again, Your Majesty."
' I was thinking if we'd go out on a walk together." He suggested.
'I uhmm鈥 that should be a great idea but you look so stressed out, you need to get some rest first." She said, concerned.
But inside her head, all that keeps ringing was for him to decline the walk out.
'I will rest later but we can still have the walk now."
'O鈥 sure. Sure, that would be great." She forced another smile. ' All thanks to you, Desire, you're such a mood spoiler." She grunted mentally to herself. ' I wish I didn't listen to you."
'I know it's been difficult for you lately since the death of your husband, I'm sorry for your loss." He started.
' It's okay, it's not like there's something so intimate about us. But thanks for your concern."
There was a long silence between them. She started the conversation with, 'I don't wanna look pocky to your personal life but, I heard you'd be getting married to Lady Sophie, is that true?"
He smiled. ' I don't really believe rumors do spread so fast like this." He sighed. 'It's not really like a normal marriage, I'd say. It's more like a contract for some personal reasons."
She nods her head. 'Whatever the reasons are, congratulations. '
'Thank you. ' There was another pause, but a brief one. Then he broke the silence. 'You once talked about kids back then at the garden, I'm still interested in meeting them. '
She opened her mouth but said nothing. ' It's okay if you still feel like I'm that scary."
She chuckled. ' Actually, I wasn't gonna say that. Did I ever mentioned kids?" She asked, surprised.
'Yes. You don't remember?"
' I must have said that when鈥 Nevermind."
' I'm sorry if I鈥 said something wrong. '
' It's okay. It's nothing. I just don't wanna talk about it. '
' I'm sorry. '
' I can't even imagine how it feels to be crazy, to say things you don't wanna say. Do things you don't wanna do, and it's all like those dramas we watch in movies. I feel like I'm not complete yet because in here, ' she points at her forehead. ' I can feel like I'm forgetting something.
Something so important and dear to me. Nad each time I try to think it through, it's hard. I just feel like it's erasing. I don't wanna picture myself acting psychiatric because I know鈥 somehow, I deserve it. '
' I don't believe someone can be responsible for whatever happens to him or her. '
' Sometimes we are."
' Do you really wanna remember every thing?" He asked.
' I do."
