Chapter 18
'Why do people choose to be so evil and wicked" Desse said angrily.
Christabel and her mum could not stop looking at the man with so much fear in there eyes.
'Why did you still beat her even after destroying the place where they lived in?" Desse asked angrily.
'I will make my final decree now and do not think I will let you go off easily" Riel said pointing at the man.
Desse, Christabel and her mother were waiting patiently to here the punishment Riel was going to give the man.
'First of all you will have to pay them for all the damages especially for their house. Not only that your will also identify those boys who came with you to demolish there house. The guards and a police officer will accompany you for that. After calling them you all will be taken to the police station where you will be dealt with seriously and then wait for your final judgment from the judge in court" Riel said in a loud and fierce tone.
They were all pleased with the judgement but Christabel Mum said it will be too harsh if he had to pay her back for all the damages and still go to court. She said he should not bother paying her for the damages instead he should face the punishment according to the law but Riel had already make the degree and also his order. His was known as a man who never goes back on his words, so his was not willing or going to go back on it this time around for what so ever reasons at all.
'Hmm鈥� I think that was fare enough my darling husband" Desse said to her husband while holding his hand.
Riel called for police officers in one of the nearest station and waited for their arrival. He also asked the guard to tahh my the man back to the cage until the police officers arrived. Christabel and her mother were also dismissed while Riel and Desse went to give their son food to eat.
Louis was not always served the usual food and he had times when he was to be served. He would always skip breakfast and tell them his system rejects to eat in the morning so they were aware and don't bother themselves to serve him breakfast they would always wait for and serve him either lunch or dinner.
'I think it's time for Louis to have his meal" Desse reminded Riel as soon as she checked the time and it was already fast spent.
'Oh yes, I forgot that already. Thanks for reminding me" Riel replied and they both left the sitting room and went to serve Louis his lunch.
As they got really closer to his room Desse because sad again.
'I wish I could go in there with you, I wish I could hold his hand and also feed him and tell him how much i love him, miss him, and also want him to recover fully and speedily" Desse said sadly handing over the food tray to her husband Riel.
'It's okay dear, all this will end soon. Then it would be a story to would tell him okay." Riel replied collecting the food tray from her and also giving her a peck on her forehead.
Desse stayed behind the door as Riel entered Louis room with the food tray.
'Daddy!!" Louis shouted as soon as he sighted Riel.
'My big boy, what have you been up to mister man"
Riel replied as he dropped the food tray on the table. He squatty and touchiest hair.
Louis was so exited to see his daddy he gave him a big hug with a big smile. Riel felt so emotional and did not want to stop hugging him. Desse who watched from afar was already crying because she knew how lonely the boy had been and seeing his daddy was heart warming for him. Both Riel and Louis didn't want to stop hugging each other.
'My love daddy miss you so much" Riel said as he hugged him even more tightly.
'Daddy I miss you and mummy even more" Louis replied as he was still hugging Riel tightly.
Soon after they stopped hugging and went to the bed where they both sat down to have a little chip chat before he ate his lunch.
'Daddy why did mummy not come with you today is she still angry with me?" Louis asked his father Riel so eagerly.
Riel was quiet for a while because he didn't know the reply he would give to his son that would not hurt his feelings and would not also make his wife Desse feel bad.
'My baby mummy is not angry with you okay. She just needed to be somewhere urgently and you know she loves you so much so she decided to prepare you your favorite before she left" Riel replied him.
'Really daddy so mum is not angry with me" Louis asked again.
'Yes my son" Riel replied.
'Now it's time for you to have your lunch" Riel as as he went to the table to bring the food where he had kept it earlier.
Louis jumped and followed him at his back. When they got there Louis heard a voice of a woman crying from the door so he stood there patiently to hear clearly. He looked very close at the door and saw his mummy. He did believe at first that she was the one, he felt that if she was the o e why did she not enter to see him her only child and sad was already soaked in tears. Until he saw the rings in her hand and it was exactly that of his mother. He kept on looking and was about to go to the door and meet her to ask her what the problem is and why is she not coming inside to say hello to him and feed him his lunch when his dad Riel who already sensed something shouted his name. He paused and went to meet his dad still in shock.
Riel waited for him to finish his lunch and put him to sleep before going outside to meet Desse.
