While they were eating , they were both quiet. Riel found it a little weird.

'Are you okay?" Riel asked Desse. She dropped the spoon and turned to look at him.聽

'I'm not, how will I be?" Desse asked Riel, trying hard not to let the tears fall.聽

Riel walked closer to her and held her hand, then he sat beside her.聽

'Please calm down, we both know that things are not well but we have to be patient."聽

'Patient? My patience is running out already, why will you tell me to be patient when you know that it's years now and Louis is not Improving, instead it's getting worse." Desse said to Riel as tears welled down her eyes.聽

'I understand how you feel." Riel said to her and brought her closer to him, she rested her head on his shoulder and started crying.聽

'I don't know what we have to do to make him better, I'm exhausted already, my faith is failing." She said to him while crying. Riel knew it was hard because it's as bad as Louis cannot see his mother else he'll be tempted to kill her because she is a lady.

'Ma'am. Are you crying?" Desse wiped her tears immediately and turned to look at Christabel.

'Uhm, no. I'm just talking to my husband." Desse hates crying when Christabel is around her because Christabel always feels sad seeing her cry.

'I have been working on this, so I thought of showing it to you?' Desse smiled the moment she saw what Christabel made.聽

'Wow this is beautiful." Desse said to Christabel with a smile. Riel winked at Christabel and Christabel nodded her head.

The surprise was planned by Christabel and Riel last night when he saw her gathering flowers together.

'My love for flowers made me do it." Christabel said to Desse while Desse was still admiring the flowers.聽

'No, don't worry, you can keep it." Christabel said to Desse when she was handing the vase back to her.聽

'Awwwn that's so sweet of you," Desse said to Christabel and dropped the case on the dinning.聽

'Were you eating this?" Christabel asked Desse.聽

'Yes I was, do you want some?" Desse asked Christabel with a smile on her face.聽

'Yes I would love to try them." Christabel said and sat in the dining chair beside Desse.聽

Desse couldn't stop smiling while looking at Christabel's face. It's always like that when everyone sees Christabel there is a kind of joy she normally feels.

Most times Desse always wishes she had the opportunity to mate Christabel with Louis, but Louis's condition has made that very impossible.

Desse finally agreed to eat with Christabel. It was a nice view for Riel, because it's been a while since he last saw Desse so happy.聽

When they were finally done eating. Desse walked back to her room and kept the flower very close to her bed.

'Thanks for making her smile." Riel thanked Christabel.

'It's nothing sir, I am living here for free, you clothe me, you feed me, since I was younger till now you two never treated me badly. I really want to pay you back any way I can." Christabel said to Riel.聽

'You are such a good daughter, your mother must be really proud of you."聽

'I hope she is," Christabel said and they both laughed.

It was finally dark and everyone had fallen asleep. Christabel was asleep when she suddenly saw Louis's face. She woke up immediately and couldn't go back to bed.聽

Christabel stood up from the bed and walked out of her room, she found herself going where she had never thought of going.

She wanted to go back but she wasn't sure of the force that was pushing her to where Louis is caged.聽

She looked at him through the cage, the room was dark but she was still able to see his face.

'Why are you here?" The moment she heard his voice her heart skipped, and fear gripped her.

'I am here to鈥orry, I don't know why I'm here." Christabel said to him and ran away.聽

'Why did I go there in the first place?" Christabel hit herself several times.聽

'What has gotten into me? Why do I feel so strange inside of me?" Christabel continued to ask herself.
She was so confused because she didn't know if tell her mom or Desse about what happened was a good idea.

'No, I can't even think of telling anybody about it. Oh no this is so frustrating, Ma'am Desse and Alpha Riel would be so angry with me if they get to hear that I saw her son Louis because they already gave us a strong warning that no one is allowed to go close to him." Christabel murmured to herself while biting her finger nails.

'Christabel, are you okay? ' 聽Christabel Mum asked her as she walked into the room and saw Christabel looking worried walking from one angle of the room to another while biting her nails.

'Mum!" She shouted out of shock.

'What's wrong with you?" Her mum asked her with a calm tone.

'Hmmm, nothing Mum. I am fine, I was just trying to calculate some stuffs in my head, you know I need some things like new sandals, towels and stuff." She replied her Mum.

'Is that why you also have a worried look on you face?" Her mum asked her curiously.

'Mum, I am fine I already told you. Besides, why did you come to my room?" 聽

Her mum was not really convinced with her excuses because she could sense that something was wrong. But she knows that Christabel wasn't a baby anymore and since she said there was no problem she didn't want to push the matter any further and pretended to believe her.

'Am i not allowed into my daughter's room anymore?" Her mum asked, teasingly.

'Mum, you know that's not what I meant. I was only asking because鈥�" Christabel replied her mum with a pity look on her face.

'I wanted to come check up on you since I haven't seen you today." Her mum cut her and said to her with a big smile on her face.聽

'Awwwn, thanks Mum. I love you so much." Christabel said to her Mum as they both hugged each other with a cute smile on their faces.

Soon after her mum left the room and went back to what she was doing, Christabel ran to lock the door so that when next someone come in she would know unlike when her mum entered without her noticing.

She began to pant again, wandering round the room, thinking of what to do.

'Oh mine, what do I do now? What exactly is connecting me to the Louis?" She asked herself as she tried using her hand to clean the sweat that was on her face.
