Chapter 108:

Alley POV:

I kept my hand on Jack's chest feeling his breath become shorter and shorter, "Where is Pythia?!" I screamed out. "I'm here!" Pythia replied as she ran up to us. "What is wrong with him? Sammie said something was thrown at them but it hit him." I said looking down at Jack who was now turning pale. "Yes, I am aware, we made an antidote but we need the blood of an alpha to complete it." Pythia said, grabbing Jack by the face. "Fine take mine, hell I'll cut my own hand tell me what to do." I replied, snatching Jack away from her. "Let's go take my hand." Pythia said, extending her hand to me, I didn't hesitate I grasped on to her hand and before I knew it we were outside of the fighting that was going on. "Quickly give me your hand." Pythia said, grabbing a knife out of her boot. I watched as she sliced the palm of my hand open and held it above a bowl that was handed to her. After a few seconds she handed the bowl off to a woman who moved quickly grinding herbs and other things around. I looked down at my palm that was now healing. "Are you almost done? What are you making?" I asked, looking around. "They are throwing a smoke poison, once it is inhaled it slowly shuts the body down. We are making the same thing but when it is inhaled the alpha blood counteracts with it and cancels the poison out." Pythia said, grabbing the little bag that was being handed to her.
"Light this on fire and blow the smoke in his face." Pythia said, setting the bag next to Jack's head. Without even thinking the bag went up in flames and as the smoke started forming I waved my hands and started blowing the smoke in his face, the more shallow breaths he took the more he inhaled. Slowly he started taking bigger breaths. "He will be fine, he needs to be somewhere safe where he can rest." Pythia said. "Bring him to me." Ember said through the link. Ember right, she can watch over him. "Will you need more blood? Or was that enough?" I asked. "This should be enough for now, if we need more I will come find you now go." Pythia replied as she grabbed some of the bags and disappeared. I grabbed on to Jack and teleported us to the cellar where Ember was. We landed on the floor with a thud but I held tightly to him so he wouldn't fall and hit his head. "Mommy!" Danny yelled running towards me. "What happened to Uncle Jack?" Danny asked, looking down at us. "He has been hurt but he will be okay. I need to leave him here so he is safe okay?" I replied "I will watch over him mommy I promise." Danny replied sitting down beside Jack. "He will be safe here with us, I give you my word." Ember said, laying on the other side of Jack. "Are you okay mommy? You have lots of blood on you." Danny asked as he looked at my face. "I am fine my sweet boy but I have to go okay?" I replied, just before I could leave a little voice yelled out at me. "Is my brother safe? He was supposed to be here with me." I knew that voice, I turned to find Kayla staring wide eyed at me.
"Elijah is safe sweetheart I promise. I won't let harm come to him but to do that I must go." I said, wiping away a tear that fell down her little face. I smiled down at her before I took myself back to Stephen and Sammie, "How is he?" Sammie asked running up to me. "He will live, he is safe and resting." I replied. Denver ran up to me, he was coated in blood. "Denver.. Where are you hurt?" I asked looking over at him to find small cuts but nothing major. "Keep your eyes open, the others are throwing smoke poison. If it is inhaled it will shut our bodies down but Pythia and her team have made an antidote for it." I said looking between the two of them, I opened the link for everyone to hear it so that they could be cautious as well. We don't need anyone else falling sick from that damn poison. Denver let out a threatening growl and placed his body in front of me. I peaked around to see vampires had started to surround us. I wasn't sure how many were left and right now I didn't care. I had no time to waste and I was tired of playing the little cat and mouse game they liked to play. We had our backs to each other eyeing the ones that started getting too close to us. Sammie pushed her shield out forcing the vampires to stagger backwards hissing and snarling at us.
This is something I don't have time for, channeling all my focus on my fire element I raised my hand and watched as flames engulfed them starting at their feet, and while they tried to use their hands to put the fire out it only attached to their hands and up their arms. They looked at me in horror and let out awful screeches. Sammie followed suit and mimicked what I did, if we are going to win this battle we had to start making use of our elements. We could fight them all day every day and not make any progress. As they all crashed to the ground it sounded like bombs were being dropped left and right, screams broke out everywhere and everyone started running. What the hell is that? I caught sight of a few dark witches with bags that they were throwing. "Denver! The shield, put the shield around everyone!" I shouted. Denver huffed at me but I could see it in his eyes that he was doing the best he could to cover everyone. Another explosion hit and a blood curdling scream sounded out that made me stop in my tracks. I turned to see Diane running towards a large wolf that laid unmoving on the ground. "Pierce! No!" Diane screamed. I ran towards her dodging debris that was being thrown around caused by the explosion. My heart was racing with every step that I took.
