Chapter 76:
Alley POV:
Holy shit! His dad killed his own daughter because she mated with a human and wanted to leave with him. "Seeing something like that can change a person. My sister was everything to me and I couldn't do anything to protect her. Over the years I hung on to the revenge I would get for her. I trained day in and day out and when the time was right I took my vengeance. I don't care about what happens to those rogues. They followed my father blindly. I kept Cassandra hidden from everyone and disappeared when the time was right." Jeremy finished. Cassandra was rubbing his arm to soothe him and in that moment I understood. His sister kept him on the right path, giving him the chance to be better and do better and she was taken away from him. I blinked a few times feeling the sting of tears threatening to come out. My heart was breaking for him, I couldn't imagine seeing something like that happen to my brothers. "We will keep you hidden, your true identity won't leave this room. We will say you are visiting for a while and want refuge here with us." Stephen said. I was a little surprised by his words. "I would appreciate that greatly." Jeremy said standing up and extending his arm to Stephen who reached out and shook his hand.
Cassandra had a smile across her face and I wasted no time walking to her and wrapping her in a hug. "I will train you along with the other ladies, we won't let anything happen to you." I said, she hugged me a little harder at my words. "We have been hiding for so long I forgot what it was like to be around friendly people." Cassandra replied. The laddies came around and introduced themselves to her while the men got more acquainted with Jeremy. "So each of you ladies have an element?" Jeremy asked. "Yes, Diane has water, Emma has fire, Charlotte also has fire, Jasmine has earth, Chloe and Stefanie have wind." I replied pointing at each of them who wasted no time demonstrating their gift. "So you have all four too?" Cassandra asked. I smiled at her "I have all five elements." I replied. Both of them looked stunned. "Spirit is a very rare gift, but because I am the great white witch I carry all of them, I can infuse people with the spirit element to heal faster or I can heal a person who is on the brink of death." I replied hoping I was answering the questions that were swimming around in their heads. "So when the battle happens you can infuse everyone?" Jeremy asked. "Yes, I can. Stephen can place a shield around everyone to fend off dark magic." I replied.
Jeremy eyed Stephen and I like we were an experiment, "Let's hope this Bosch guy doesn't figure out that we all decided to work together, and train together." Jeremy muttered. "Even if he does he can't get through the shield, rogues could if they aren't associated with dark magic but their insides would feel like they are being ripped apart and they will slowly die. We also have a fire shield in place, anyone with ill intentions will feel that way." Stephen replied. "So now that we all agree we need to go over a few things, the other ladies and their mates' territories surround us now. They are the first line of defense when the battle happens. They will lesson the numbers a lot before we get hit. When the time comes for Bosch to make his grand appearance only Alley is to fight him, and trust me that's not coming from me but the elemental carriers themselves. She is the only one who can match him." Stephen said a little too bitterly at the end. "So how will y'all know if they get in?" Ambrosia asked. "We can feel it. It's like a tingle in our chest or it might feel like the wind passing through us, just depends I suppose." Emma answered. "We will take this time to connect with our elements better, we practice everyday." Charlotte said. "We will start combat training tomorrow, split our days, morning will be hand to hand and then lunch and then we will practice with our elements." I said looking towards Cassandra.
"You can start with us tomorrow if you'd like. I can have my mother train with you after lunch. She also carried fire but she doesn't need any practice with hers." A smile came across Cassandra's face, "I'd really like that." She replied. "Do you guys have any clothes? Or anything?" I asked, realizing they didn't come with any bags. "No. I didn't think we would be staying." Jeremy replied. "Not to worry, we will get you both some stuff so that you're more comfortable." Stephen replied. I can't believe how easy this is going. I mean I can but still, Cassandra is eager to train which makes me curious if they've been in a situation before. If you didn't know exactly who he is you'd never know it was him. Either way I'm glad we found him before Bosch did. Now we just need to find Leia and get her the help she needs before it's too late. "I need to get back to making sure things are ready for tomorrow, would you like to join us?" Stephen asked Jeremy. He nodded before he looked at Cassandra. "I'll stay here with the girls, you go ahead." She said, smiling at him. Jeremy gave us one last look before he walked out with the other men. "I want to thank you for what you guys are doing. You have no idea what Jeremy and I have gone through. He might be standoffish but that's only because he isn't use to anyone having his back, he will come around though I promise." Cassandra said, trying to reassure us.
"I'm not worried about it, It's hard to adjust to but we will make sure he knows that we mean what we say." I replied back to her. "This is a beautiful place, a lot better than the little house we live in." Cassandra replied, looking around at everything. "Well how about we ladies go on a little tour?" I asked. They all nodded their heads and we started to walk out. I have a good feeling that we just gained a new friend.
