Chapter 55:
Alleys POV:
Sitting around the table while everyone was chatting, my mind wondered back to what the guys wanted to do. I knew the vampire queen couldn't hold any more power than what she did. I've never seen her but I've heard rumors about her and let's just say she doesn't hesitate to kill anyone who crosses her. She is extremely powerful. The king of rogues has a gruesome past. It's said that long ago he tried to fight the alpha of his old pack and when he lost he was cast out like he meant nothing. No one knew why he did it, everything was kept tight lipped. Then he disappeared without a trace and rogues started to get out of control, they did whatever they wanted no matter the cost. Rumor has it he met his mate and left with her, if that was the truth then maybe he wasn't a bad person after all. The leader of the dark witches is a damn nightmare. She gives zero fucks about anything and she's always looking for a new type of power so she has a lot of gain from all of this. I would not trust her. "Are you okay princess?" Stephen whispered in my ear pulling me from my thoughts. He knew how exhausted I had been but truthfully I felt a lot better. "Yeah, just trapped in my own thoughts." I replied back to him, everyone stopped talking and stared at me. "What's wrong?" Emma asked.
"I'm all for talking to the vampire queen and tracking the rogue king, but the leader of the dark witches is what I am struggling with. She has a lot to gain and I don't trust her not to try to trap us." I said Going off of everyones facial expression, I knew I wasn't the only one who thought that. "I agree, I think we need to have her area scoped out to see what she is up to." Andrew said. "She can not be trusted under any circumstance." Terra said. "We have seen first hand how she is, if she hasn't already teamed up with Bosch then she will soon enough." Nikki said. That was what I was afraid of, we don't know how many dark witches are out there and if she does team up with them then this is going to be a lot harder for us. "There are some dark witches that don't follow her though, we just need to figure out how many do." Matthew said. "Could y'all show us how you guys teleport? I think that would come in handy." I asked, looking at each element barrier. Davina smiled wide, "Of course, you'll find that it is really easy and not to worry it doesn't exhaust you at all unless you try to take a large amount of people with you." She said "Can you teach Alley how to control her spirit use? She has been exhausted after she heals someone." Jack asked to my surprise. I forget that he can tell how I feel or maybe he just observed. "I can, there are two ways to use it. We can teach them both today." Davina said with a smile.
"The trackers will be here shortly, we will brief them and place the shield around them for their safety." Stephen said, "How many trackers exactly?" I asked. "Top 5 from our packs, the more we have the more ground we can cover." Andrew replied. "So 35 total? They should be able to stake everything out within a reasonable time, finding the rogue alpha will be the hardest task." Stefanie said. That was true, we had no idea where he went. "If he is alive they can find him, let's go give the briefing boys, I'll link you when we are ready to place the shields princess." Stephen said as he stood up, as always he kissed the top of my head sending butterflies straight to my stomach. "Come on ladies, we will show y'all how to teleport." Buran said hopping out of his chair, he is always playful but I've seen the angry side of him and I prefer to stay on his good side. We walked out on the front lawn and everyone spread out but Davina stayed by me. "This is super easy to do, all you have to do is picture where you want to be and will yourself to be there." Anahita said. "For example, I want to go behind Diane." Anahita stated and in the blink of an eye she was behind Diane.
"Does it hurt or anything?" Jasmine asked. "Not at all, it just feels like you're on a roller coaster." Davina said. That doesn't sound too bad. Roller coasters were always thrilling and fun to do. "Okay I'm going to try." Emma said. Her eyes closed and she took a deep breath when she exhaled she disappeared. "I did it!" Emma yelled across the lawn jumping up and down, in the blink of an eye she was back by us. A giggle escaped her lips and her eyes were wide with excitement. "Alley, there are two ways to use your spirit element, you can pull directly from your energy or pull from the element itself." Davina spoke to me, pulling my attention away from the women who were now popping around the yard excitedly. "How do I know which one to use?" I asked her. "Pulling from the element itself is the same as when you use your other ones, focus on that instead of yourself. You won't get exhausted. Tired maybe but not in the shape you were earlier." She said, She took out a small knife and cut the inside of her palm, I gasped not realizing what she had done. "Focus on the element." She said holding her hand out to me. I placed my hand around hers and closed my eyes, this time putting my focus in the element instead of myself. Warmth spread all around me and it felt much different.
