Chapter 62:

Alley POV:

They stepped off the porch and circled the house, looking in all directions. It dawned on me that Jackson and Tye couldn't teleport. Shit. Somehow we need to keep them on our side so they don't find them. "Jackson and Tye won't be able to move without being found. We need to keep them on this side somehow." I said, panicking a little. "We could always play cat and mouse." Stefanie replied. That's actually not a bad idea. They know we are here, they just don't know how many of us are here. I looked around on the ground to find a rock, Jack seemed to have read my mind because he reached over and grabbed a small rock, not big enough to do some damage but big enough to make noise. I grabbed the rock from him and scanned my eyes across to see where I could throw it. It needed to be back by us in the middle so we could all see them and get them away from my brothers. I pulled back my arm and threw it straight at the house hitting the side and ducked behind the tree. "Did you hear that? Back by the house." The man whispered. The same time they started moving forward another rock hit the other side of the house.
I peaked my head around to see the two of them look at each other seeming a little confused. "More than one?" The woman asked. I looked over to Sammie and Jack, "One of you needs to get to Jackson and Tye." I whispered. They looked at each other and I knew they didn't want to leave us but I needed at least one of them to be with them, they both had four elements and could protect them. Sammie pointed at herself and I held my hand up, "Jackson, Tye I'm sending Sammie to y'all don't argue. She has four elements and can fend at least one off if they spot y'all." I said through the link and nodded at Sammie. She quickly disappeared and for a second I closed my eyes, perking my ears up to see if I could hear her over there but I heard nothing. "She's here." Tye said. I relaxed a little bit more. I watched as the two of them kept circling the house trying to figure out where we were. "What if we corner them?" Diane asked. Not going to lie I thought the same thing for a split second. "We could but they can apparently teleport like we can so that could be hard." I replied. I looked at Stephen who just shook his head.
I knew it wasn't a good idea to bum rush them and honestly we got what we needed, we needed to figure out the herbs and what the bones surrounding the table meant. There's no need for us to stay much longer. "Okay everyone I think we need to get back to the territory, we got what we nee-" I was cut off mid sentence but a vicious growl, "Found you mutt!" The man shouted. Shit! I turned my head to look around the tree to see where he was standing, my heart beating out of my chest. Jackson was shifted into his wolf, his teeth on full display, pulled back snarling at the man. Tye was also shifted into his wolf growling while Sammie was in the middle, her shield pressed out surrounding them, the look in her eyes were deadly. "How fascinating. A white witch with two wolves. You must be the pack witch or maybe their whore." The man snarled. The growl that erupted from my throat was deadly. How dare he say such a thing to her?! The man and the woman whipped around to see me and their eyes widened, they quickly covered it with disgust and hatred. "How dare you speak to her like that!" I roared taking long steps to them, usually Rose fights me for control but I guess she decided to take a back seat this time around. "And who are you?" The woman snapped standing in front of the man.
"I'm going to be your worst nightmare if you ever say shit like that again." I spat, each step I took the angrier I became. "You think you can take both of us? You're a wolf you stand no chance." The man said bringing his hands up forming the all too familiar ball of fire, I knew he was going to throw it at me. I learned that little trick from Atsila however, Anahita taught me how to defuse fire and that was with water. I watched as he pulled his arm back and hurled it at me. Everyone was screaming at me through the link. Thinking fast remembering what Anahita taught me I raised my arms up forming a wall of water. The moment the fire met the water it didn't stand a chance. The two dark witches took a step back in disbelief "I am more than just a wolf." I stated before bringing roots up from the ground and wrapping them around their legs. "What are you?" The woman asked, fear evident in her voice. "What is that stuff in that house?" I questioned. They both looked at each other swinging their bodies around clawing at the roots to get off them. "All you're doing is pissing me off. What. Is. That. Stuff?" I asked again slowly, re-answering my question.
The others started to come out from where they were hiding and as they looked around to each of us it seemed as if realization hit them. "Yo- you are Alley?" The woman asked. I nodded my head letting it sink in. Maybe they weren't stupid after all but I have no time for them to string us along. "We were camping out trying to catch the ones working against Pythia." The man said. Pythia? I don't recall that name at all. "Who is Pythia?" Stephen asked. "Pythia is the new leader of the us. She killed her own mother and no one knows why. She said people within our coven per say were working for someone else and using our connections to do it." The woman said. "And where can we find Pythia?" I asked. Neither of them wanted to say, probably scared she would kill them. "How about you take a message back to her. We want to speak to her but we have protection around our land that forbids dark magic to get through, she may touch the shield and it'll notify us that someone is there. Have her meet with us." I said seemingly shocking everyone.
"Why would we do that?" The woman snapped. "Because.. If you don't I will kill you both myself." I said, narrowing my eyes. Their eyes widened which told me they knew I was serious. "I will release you both when we are safely away. I expect a visit when the sun starts to set. Walk north of here for about an hour and you will feel the shield." I said looking at them both. Finally they nodded their heads" I looked to the others before grabbing on to Stephen and taking us home. The others soon followed and I started to unravel the roots. Why they didn't just teleport back is beyond me. "Alley what the hell?" Jackson shouted stomping towards me. "If they have a new leader that sends them to find the people conspiring with someone else I think it's worth hearing them out no?" I asked, tilting my head. I looked around to everyone else and they seemed to have mixed feelings. "It's worth a shot I suppose. Let's just hope for the best for now." Emma said. "For now we wait, Stephen and I have a family picnic to take Danny on so if you'll excuse us.." I said before sliding my hand in Stephens and pulled him towards the house.
