Chapter 50:

Alley POV:

"What happened to Atsila?" Emma asked. "He was forced to do work for Bosch. When we placed Stephens Shield up he couldn't get through it which meant he was in contact with dark magic, but when Bosch showed himself here Atsila was with him with a few others. One of which is his mate or so we think. Bosch kidnapped her and Atsila did what he had to do to save her." I said feeling a little sad that he hasn't been found yet. I feel horrible for everything that happened. "Has anyone from y'alls packs gone missing in the last few months?" Stephen asked "None from ours. We haven't had any attacks lately now that I think about it." Alpha Josh who is Stefanies mate said. "That just means Bosch is focusing on recruiting people. We need to start preparing, Alley can help the women set up shields in case someone were to attack, how about first thing in the morning the alphas get together in my office and the woman can work on protection?" Stephen said, looking at each of them. One by one they nodded their heads in agreement. "Alley may we have a word with you? Alone." Diane asked. All the women had gathered together and were staring at me.
"Of course, Stephen, why don't you show the men around?" I said. He smiled and nodded before kissing the top of my head and opened the door gesturing to the men to follow. When the door shut I turned to the women. Not really sure what they needed to talk to me about, I started to feel nervous when none of them said anything. Jack stood a little closer to me feeling how nervous I was starting to get. I felt his shield pass through me before I heard Charlotte chuckle. "There's no need for that, we aren't going to hurt her although I must say I am impressed." Charlotte said. "We just wanted to thank you, we didn't understand what was happening to us but now that we do we just wanted to say we are honored to be in the presence of you." Jasmine said, smiling at me. "We've all heard the stories of Raleigh but it's different to actually be in the presence of the great white witch, we will stand beside you and your mate." Chloe said. A sense of pride filled my chest and a smile came across my face. "Thank you all so much." I said teary eyed.


--Stephens POV:--
That meeting went better than I thought it would although I'm curious as to what they wanted to talk to Alley about. "I want to thank you all again for coming out on such short notice." I said to the six other alphas, none of them really said much and I knew they were lost in thought trying to grasp what was going on. "So this war that was brought up will happen in a few months time? How are we suppose to train our packs without knowing fully what we are against?" Alpha Collin asked. He seems more timid about everything, I knew he was more protective over Jasmine, he's always swore she would never fight. "Bosch came here as I said but he looked weak, like he was knocking on deaths door. He needs more power not sure how he is going to get that but we have faced rouges and vampires. Not in big numbers, it was like they were testing us in a way." I replied. "So your mate is truly the next great white witch?" Pierce asked. "Yes she is, it was a shock to us too and we are still learning, our goal is to take Bosch down without little to no casualties." I said.
Truthfully I still might be in a little bit of shock, Alley is determined to find Atsila but what about the woman? Who is she? If no one from their packs has gone missing, where did she come from? Is she human? How did the others not know anything about her? Something doesn't feel right with that situation and I can see the guilt on Alleys face when she talks about him. For our sake I hope we find him before Bosch does. "How are all of you handling the news about your mates? I mean I know none of us want them to be in a battle and we will do what we can to protect them.." I said Collin looked indifferent "Truthfully Stefanie trains with us, she has never wanted anyone to see her as weak." Josh said. "Chloe is the same way, her and her sister trained before with their old pack, I know Jasmine has finally won the argument with Collin about training. They travel between the packs to train with everyone." Andrew said. "Diane trains from time to time but she focuses on making sure the young ones know how to defend themselves." Pierce stated a look of pride came across his face. "Charlotte trains the women and young ones in our pack, when they surpass her training they move on to train with the rest." Austin said.
"Seems like we all have head strong tough women." I said laughing, glad I'm not the only one with a tough little mate. Women have a way to mother everyone but be stern at the same time. "The war does make me nervous though, if they are the first line of defense they need to learn every aspect of their ability." Devin said. I nodded my head fully agreeing. "Alley, Jack and Sammie will teach them along with the other element barriers." I said. "I'm assuming Sammie is your chosen protector?" Andrew asked. "Yes, she is just like Jack. They were just gifted with their other two elements so they are much more in tune with us." I replied. "That's good to hear, either way we will fight beside you both. Seems like this war is one we can't ignore." Josh said. "We are grateful for all of your support and aid on this." I said, shaking his hand. "Stephen, I am heading to the room to get some rest. The ladies have gone to their room as well." Alley said through our mind link. "Well fellas the ladies have retired to their rooms, we will meet in the morning after breakfast." I said
After bidding them goodbye I went straight to our room ready to get some sort of sleep. It's been a very long day and this was a long night. Tomorrow we start really preparing and I pray to the moon goddess everyone is ready in time. We do have a few months which is a small plus but even then it seems like this battle will be bigger than anyone thinks.
