Chapter 43:

Bosch POV:

So I found the only daughter of an alpha and it didn't take much to bribe a dark witch to cast a spell upon her, making me her mate. I was supposed to inhibit her powers and it didn't work. Years I searched for why it never worked and I still didn't find any answers. I was in a rage when it didn't work and killed the only dark witch that held the possible answers. Even though I don't regret it there is always another way. Maybe the girl wasn't as strong as the legend had made out to be but if that was the case why is Alley so powerful? She is the only daughter of an alpha and she is much stronger. Walking into my room I grabbed a crisp black suit my skin had paled and my eyes started to sink in. The green in them had dimmed. I know I can't cheat death for much longer. I needed Alley's power which comes with her mates power. I will rule over them all and have the power I deserve. I combed my blonde hair back and tied it in a small pony tail at the nap of my neck. I just needed to hold on a little bit longer but that damn shield is a problem.
Walking back to the living room Atsila hadn't moved. "Let's go." I stated walking past him. "Bring Stella. You said we could leave after." He snapped. Ahh yes Stella, his precious mate. I picked up my phone and dialed Bethany, "Meet Atsila and I at the west border near the shield and bring precious Stella." I hung up before she had the chance to reply. A look of relief flashed across his face and he started walking behind me. Walking out the front door the door seemed gloomy but that never stopped me from toying with people to get what I wanted. The sun was a few hours away from setting, truly night time has always been my favorite. If it wasn't cloudy then the stars shined brighter even though they tried when it was cloudy. "What are you planning to do?" Atsila asked me. "Now if I told you I would have to kill you or never let you leave. Can't have you running back trying to get in their good graces by spilling what I may have planned." I said not looking at him.
It's easy to come up with a plan but I needed to figure out a way around that shield. Not even my sister could place one of those up. I had most of the dark witches searching high and low for answers, the faster we get the answers the faster we will be successful. In a few months time the golden moon will rise, it is to carry the full power of the moon, when it is at its peak little Alley will be sacrificed, piercing her heart with the same dagger that I already had. It is said that the golden moon will turn blood red as all of her blood drains her body and with my blood attached to the dagger her power will transfer into me. The perk of her having such a strong mate is that he can also be sacrificed in the same way. We just need to get the key pieces in to place and set it into motion.
The closer we got to the shield the more I felt its power coming off in waves, to a normal persons eye they wouldn't be able to see it, I could see the shimmer of red hidden right behind the protection shield. I stared at it, the closer I got the harder it was to stay that close to it. Was it because I had both ill intentions and was filled with dark magic? "How do we get their attention?" I asked. "Where is Stella?" Atsila shot back. Hearing the hatred in his voice made me chuckle. "You know under different circumstances I think we could actually be friends." "That is impossible. I would never mingle myself with the likes if you or the dark witches." He shouted at me. His shouting never bothered me, I loved to cause chaos and see people panic. It made me feel powerful and alive. "Bethany and Stella should be along anytime, now tell me how do I gain their attention?" "Just apply pressure to it. It's all I had to do when I tried to cross." He said scanning around looking for his little mate.
I walked up to it and tried to place my hand on it, my hand hovered a few inches away when I felt my palm heat up, the closer I got the more it burned. Just as I touched it my hand and arm went up in flames. "FUCK!" I used my other arm to pat down the flames before spinning to Atsila anger shot through me "Did you burn like this?!" I shouted stomping towards him, "No I didn't." He replied not shaken. "I told you whoever touches it of dark magic they will perish." He stated "Well I guess someone else will have to gain the attention." I muttered, yanking my phone out of my pocket "Where the hell are you?!" I shouted "Not far off we will be there soon." Bethany said. "Did you bring anyone other than Stella with you?" I asked "Latreal came with." She said, "Perfect hurry up." I huffed while hanging up the phone. How the hell did I catch fire like that? Nothing like that has ever happened to me! Anger boiled inside of me when finally the three girls came into view.
"Latreal come here." I snapped. Her footsteps became faster until she was directly in front of me. I grabbed her hand and I shoved it directly to the shield, seeing that she didn't burst into flame irritated me more, she was a human woman who was nothing more than a good time to me. I waited a few seconds and nothing happened. I looked over to Atsila, "Just keep doing it sooner or later they will come see what is trying to get through." He said not taking his eyes off of his precious Stella. "Latreal dear take both your hands and press it against that shield over and over until we hear something." I said. She didn't hesitate or ask. She simply smiled and turned and placed her hands directly to it. Pressing as hard as her frail body could after a few seconds she backed away only to repeat the same thing over a few times before I heard a deep malicious howl pierce through the air. When she applied pressure again more howls sounded off.
A sinister smile crept on to my face, in no time they will be face to face with me. I listened closely and didn't hear anything at first before five wolves burst through the trees stopping 25 yards away from their side of the shield. They all bared their teeth growling at me which only made my smile grow wider.
It's showtime.
