Chapter 57:

Alley POV:

The front door opened and my parents walked in, both their bodies were pushed apart due to Danny running full speed at me and Stephen. I held my arms open and he ran straight in to them, "Hi Luna! They picked me up early today! Can we play? I am hungry though.." Danny was talking faster than ever until he saw Athea staring at him with a wide smile. His little face scrunched together like he was thinking. "You were in my dreams.." Danny stated looking up to her. "I was Danny do you remember what I told you?" Athea asked him, tilting her head to the side. "I do! You said I would be able to see the future and be big and strong." Danny said lifting his little arms and curling them trying to show off his little muscles. A giggled escaped my lips, he was so adorable, not even realizing who Athea is. He had the purest innocence. Athea chuckled before she kneeled down in front of him. "You will be able to see the future but you can't tell anyone what you see, it could get someone hurt. And yes, you will be big and strong my little warrior." Athea replied back to him. "I promise I won't tell anyone." Danny said, looking her straight in the eyes. For a kid being so young his replies were as if he was older.
"Alley and Stephen will protect you Danny, as well as the people in this room. Always listen to them. I know you want to keep them safe and you will in so many ways. Are you ready for your blessing?" Athea asked him, placing her hands on her knees. "Yes ma'am I will listen to them but can I stay with them forever?" He asked with hopeful eyes. "Of course you can stay with them, this will be your new home. Come sit in front of me Danny." She said, Danny scurried off my lap and sat on the floor with his little legs crossed. Athea did the same and reached her hands out in front of her, "Take my hands Danny, and close your eyes. I promise this won't hurt." Danny slid his little hands in hers and slowly closed his eyes. Athea took a few deep breaths before her eyes opened, they had turned completely white and her hair flowed around her, "I, Athea, Moon Goddess to all creatures call forth my seer, my watchful eyes over all my children and my keeper of the future. You are blessed." Her voice boomed but not in a scary way, with each word she spoke the white light spread from their hands up their arms and over their bodies. Dannys eye snapped open and locked on hers, his eyes had changed to a burning bright reddish ombre color. A smile crept across Atheas face as the light diminished, Dannys little body slumped to the floor and I quickly caught his head before it hit the floor.
I moved his hair out of his face and looked him over. "He will sleep the rest of the day, this is a large amount of power for him to hold." Athea said standing at her feet. She looked around the room and stopped on the women that had been chosen. "Each of you have made me proud. You all embraced your powers and what is to come. No other children of mine could have held this responsibility." Athea said looking between all the women, they smiled at her, not sure how to respond. "We are all honored to stand beside them." Emma said. "I know, which is why I chose you six." Athea turned to all of us with a smile I was sure would break her beautiful face. "I will be watching over all of you, I can't tell you what your future holds but rest easy knowing that each of your futures hold greatness." Athea said before she disappeared. No one said a word. I wasn't even sure if anyone was breathing. Out of nowhere Terra broke out in a fit of laughter. "You should see your faces!" Terra squealed out. "I'll put Danny in his bed." My mother came forward picking him up out of my lap. "Holy shit I can't believe we actually met her and witnessed what we did" Diane said with wide eyes.
All at once everyone broke out in a chatter, "At least Bethany won't be able to see what is coming, the scales just tipped on our side." Collin said "I'll agree to that, if she is as bad as I've heard she deserves to be torn limb from limb." Josh chimed in. "Let's make one thing clear. When she is found I will be the one to rip her apart, understand?" I said, no one would take her out besides me. I've earned the right to be the one to shred her apart. They all nodded but didn't dare speak. "The trackers are out searching now, is there a way for y'all to shield them?" Jackson asked. Is there a way for us to do that? I mean it's possible I suppose, it would make sure dark magic couldn't be used against them. "Yes, we can." Stephen said, I turned to look at him and he looked confident as hell. "How many have gone?" I asked, looking at Jackson. "The top five of this pack." Jackson said. Five didn't seem like enough. I wanted her head on a silver platter and I sure as hell wasn't going to wait around for that bitch to sneak up on us. Stephen grabbed my hands, getting my attention. "Just like last time except we focus on them. It should work like the other one did." Stephen said. It made sense and it should work.
I closed my eyes focusing on the trackers clearing my mind of anything else, it was like I could see them running through the woods, swerving between the trees, their paws kicking up dirt as they ran by, warmth started flowing from my chest and I could feel Stephen extending his shield, with a little push from me I could see it slowly wrap around each of them, clear on the intentions of protecting them from dark magic. When I opened my eyes I knew they would be fogged over like clouds just like Stephens except mine had a hint of red underneath. Smiling up at Stephen, a smile crept across his face. "It's done." Stephen whispered. I swear I could hear everyone exhale a large breath. My body felt worn down and exhaustion was creeping up on me. "We need to figure out a new plan of attack, gentlemen let's go to my office." Stephen said looking around to each of the alphas, Stephen kissed the top on my head before he walked off with the rest.
The only thing I knew for sure was we were not going to wait for them to attack us, they want a fight so badly then we will bring it to them.
