Chapter 45:

Alley POV:

Jack stood at my side while Stephen stood on the other, Sammie placed herself on the other side of Stephen, their eyes were as bright as an angry fire. We walked outside waiting to see Alex, the more time went by the more I was getting anxious. I felt pressure against my chest and I sucked in air, my hand flying to my chest. Stephen growled and I knew he felt the same thing I did. Alex's howl echoed through our ears and my dad, brothers and Brandon shifted into their wolves. Moments later the pain came back lighter than the last time. "Let's follow Alex." Stephen said, his eyes were shifting and I knew Denver would come out. We started walking to the west border when Alex came into view in front of us. "It's Atsila, Bethany, a human woman, some man and a hostage, '' Alex said through our mind link. Stephen growled deeply wrapping his arm around me protectively, the others howled showing their anger and bolted off. A hostage? Why can't Bethany just die already? She's shown enough disrespect and tried to kill me a few times.
We walked forward until the wolves came into view. They were snarling and baring their teeth. I felt the warmth of Jack and Sammies shield pass through me, they both had a look that could kill and the closer we got the more their eyes flared. We stopped just behind the wolves and I took in the scene before me. Bethany looked at me with pure hatred while Atsila never took his eyes off the woman she had, the woman didn't look scared at all. Bethany had her arm twisted behind her back with a silver knife at her throat. Who is she? I looked at the man that looked like he had waited forever for this moment. He looked like death made over, His skin was pale and his eyes sunk in his head.His cheek bones stuck out farther than they should have, but the smile on his face made my stomach turn in knots.
"Well well well you are much smaller than I thought you would be." The man said. Stephen growled and pushed me behind him. "Aw letting the big bad wolf shield you? Don't you think you have enough protection." The end of his sentence had venom in it. "Did it take you by surprise?" I asked stepping out from behind Stephen. I felt pure rage flow through me when I realized Atsila was right. He had no choice and we stupidly turned our back on him. "You may think of me however I don't honestly care, but have you seen yourself? You look weak and pathetic as if you are dying out, and to top it off you bring the one person we have been searching for to pay for her crimes" I spat with each word I grew more and more angry. His smile turned into a sneer. Apparently I hit a nerve. "You bitch!" Bethany roared, throwing the woman to the ground before running towards us. No one moved because we knew she wouldn't get far. In the split second Atsila was at the woman's side and disappeared.
Hostage taken care of. The look in Bethanys eyes was deadly; her steps became faster until she sprinted. She met the shield full force and shrieked in pain as she was thrown back hitting a tree. "Well you are a bad choice to bring along." The man muttered. "Bosch what do you think you are doing?" Davina spat, her usual calm features turned to a look of disgust. "Glad to see someone remembers me. I just came to have a lovely chat is that so wrong?" Bosch said. So this is the infamous Bosch. He turned his gaze towards me. "Did you get my love note little Alley?" A smile crept to his face and Stephen growled. "I did, I must say at first I was shaken by it but looking at you now you are no threat. You are a disgrace." Oddly I was calm. "I just came to give you a chance to turn yourself over willingly." Bosch said. I felt Stephen start to shake and I placed my hand on his arm to calm him. "I'm going to have to go ahead and tell you to go fuck yourself, you know you won't win no matter how hard you try. You may put up a good fight but I look forward to ripping your throat out." I sneered. How dare he come to tell me that? Is he insane or flat out stupid?
"I see why the moon goddess chose you, stubborn brat but in the end I will win. I always do." He spat taking a step forward. No one moved an inch, I know he can't pass but the more he stayed in front of me the more anger I felt. "What did you do to Atsila?" Terra asked, her eyes were bright green. "I used him as an insight, I kidnapped his mate, whatever happens to them now is not an issue of mine." Bosch said, leaving us shocked. Atsila had a mate?! Since when? If the others didn't know how did Bosch know? "Let's hope you find them before I do." Bosch said. I stood still from shock trying to register that Atsila had a mate. "Little Alley I do hope you take my offer into consideration. It would be better if you came willingly." He said looking at me and then to Stephen, "Bring your mate too if you'd like he will die beside you." He finished. "I'm going to agree with Alley and say go fuck yourself, you won't last much longer Bosch everyone can see that. You'll wither away before you even get the chance." Stephen snapped.
"If it's a war you want then it is a war you will get. Let's see who can get to who first." I sneered raising my hands pulling straight from my core using all the elements at once throwing them all at him, with ease it passed through the shield throwing him backwards. "Take your bitch and go." Stephen snapped.
Bosch looked at us with pure hatred before he grabbed Bethany and disappeared. "We need to find Atsila now!" I shouted looking at the four element barriers in front of me. They bowed their heads and disappeared.
How dare that pathetic excuse of a man come here and ask me to go with him? To do what? Die so he can gain power and ruin everything the goddess created? Not a fat chance in hell would I allow that. "Everyone trains three times a day, including us, I want that bastard dead." I snapped before turning around storming off.
I felt Stephen wrap his arms around me and pull me against his chest. I was still shaking with anger. "Calm down princess, we will train and we will take the fight to him." He whispered in my ear. I relaxed against him "I don't want to lose anyone.." I whispered, feeling the gravity of everything weighing down on me. "You will not lose anyone I promise." I felt my legs give out and Stephen picked me up and started walking back to the house.
