Chapter 59:
Alley POV:
Walking back up to the house I realized how badly I needed a shower. The stench of the cells was on my clothes but I knew I would have to go back down there whenever she wakes up. As soon as we walked through the door Stella came up to me, "Can I talk to you please?" She asked quietly. "Of course let's go to the living room." I replied, leading her away from everyone else. "What's on your mind?" I asked, she shifted her weight from one foot to another. "Are you really giving Bethany the same treatment as she gave me?" She asked, I studied her for a moment and saw hope in her eyes. "Some of it yes, her wolf is starting to leave her so the silver won't have that much effect on her." I replied. "I've always thought of her suffering the way I did but I would like to make a request if I may.." She whispered. I placed my hand on her shoulder, getting her to look at me. "Do not ever be afraid to talk to me, what she did to you was horrific and you deserve justice. What request?" I asked, looking straight into her eyes. "I want to have a public execution for her. I want others to see how disgusting she was and how I was able to get my justice. I want to be the one that snaps her neck." Stella stated squaring her shoulders.
I honestly couldn't blame her for wanting to do this. She deserved this after what she went through. "I will talk to Stephen in a moment or would you prefer to be present when I talk to him?" I said looking over her shoulder to Stephen. "I'd like to be here.. if that's okay." She replied. "Of course it is, let me go get him and we will be back." I said, patting her on her shoulder before walking up to Stephen. "Hey princess, is everything okay?" Stephen asked. "Yes, but Stella and I would like a word with you if that's okay." I replied. He nodded his head and followed me back to the living room. "Stella wants to have a public execution for Bethany and she wants to be the one to snap her neck." I said giving the important details of our conversation. "I don't see a problem with that, it's very common for those types of executions. As long as Alley is okay with it then I won't argue." Stephen said, smiling at Stella. This is a hard time for her and I understand. "We will have the execution tomorrow at noon, we will have everything set up." I said. Stella hugged me before she went off to find Atsila, "I have so much respect for you love, you put your own personal issues with Bethany aside to let Stella have her justice. I am incredibly proud of you." Stephen said cupping my check. "She deserves it more than I do. Who am I to deny anyone justice?" I replied
"Bethany is awake, Luna." Alex said through the mind link. "Our guest of honor is awake, let's go see how she is." I said. Stephen chuckled before grabbing my hand and walking towards the door. "Alley! Stephen!" an all too familiar little boys voice rang out in our ears. I turned around to see Danny running towards us. "Hey little man, how are you feeling?" Stephen asked as he scooped Danny up in his arms. "I feel tired but hungry too. Am I super strong now?" Danny asked. I giggled at his response, he is just too adorable. "Well how about we get you some food and a bath and then you can sleep? Of course you are a super strong baby boy. You always have been." I said to him, grabbing him from Stephen. His little face turned up to me and a smile cracked across his little face. "Can nana help me? She always reads me a bedtime story." Danny said. "Nana?" I asked. "He means me dear, I told him to call me nana, and of course I will help you bathe and read you a story, let's get you some food what would you like?" My mother asked. I put Danny on the floor and he stood between Stephen and I. "Can I have a hamburger? Or a steak? Steaks are yummy but so are hot dogs." Danny said, I laughed at his response. "Let's see what we have okay?" My mother said,
"Mom, we have to go tend to Bethany, we will be back soon." I said through our link because I don't want Danny to hear about what is going on. His little mind is too innocent to be a part of something like this. My mother just smiled and nodded and reached for Danny's hand. "Can we go play tomorrow?" Danny turned around and asked me and Stephen. "Of course, how about we have a picnic for dinner at the park?" Stephen said looking down at Danny smiling. "I like that! I love the park where we can swing together!" Danny beamed up at us. My mother took Danny to the kitchen and I turned to Stephen. "No children are to see what will happen to Bethany, their little minds are innocent and they don't need to see stuff like that." I said. "I will mind link everyone and let them know, you are right. Children don't need to see stuff like that if we can help it." He replied. As we walked outside my mind drifted back to Danny. His parents died in a battle and he was left to his aunt. I need to pay her a visit while we are down in the cells. Someone was off about her and I need to figure out what. If she had ill intentions she hid her pain well. Danny is a pure soul, he is caring and wants to help. His parents would be very proud of him, Stephen and I made the choice to adopt him. Once everything is over we will move forward on legalizing it but, for now we have made it known that he is ours.
