Chapter 75:

Alley POV:

I knew everyone was a little tense as they took seats around the office. This is our first time laying eyes on him, we've all heard the rumors but from what I can tell he looks rather normal. I mean his eyes aren't even red like the others. "So can someone explain to me why I am here or why I was even requested?" Jeremy stated, there was an edge to his voice and Cassandra had a death grip around his arm. "Jeremy don't be hostile, what do you know of the great white witch?" Ambrosia asked. "I know she died and that her brother killed her but nothing more, why?" Jeremy asked. Ambrosia looked at me and nodded. "I am the great white witch, and Raleighs brother Bosch has created an army to take me and my mate down." I said slowly so he could hear everything. He looked a little stunned by my words, "I get why he would want to take you down but why your mate?" Jeremy asked, "I am the last of the royal blood line, our line contains a shield that no dark magic can penetrate it." Stephen replied. "The twins that are next to us are the first born protectors. They are the only ones that will carry four elements." I said as I watched him eye them up and down. "Makes sense, they look ready to kill." Jeremy chuckled, Sammie looked more friendly out of the two, "So why was I pulled from hiding?" Jeremy asked.
"Because we need your help." Chloe chimed in. "Help? Help with what?" Jeremy asked. "Well, you are the king of the rogues and Bosch has the rogues on his side. How many are there? Can you control them in any way?" Denver asked. Jeremy looked as if we had just slapped him across the face. "Hundreds of them. I didn't want anything to do with them, I was born into it and my parents tried to mold me to be like the rest but I never wanted it. Most chose to go rogue and just mated with whoever so a lot are born into it." Jeremy said as he looked at Ambrosia, "I saved Ambrosia from an attack, she wasn't doing anything wrong and that's the problem. They attack for no reason at all. Then I met Cassandra and asked Ambrosia to hide me away so we could live normally." Jeremy said, smiling at Cassandra who blushed under him. That was something I had not expected at all. "Well you aren't anything like we had heard about. The exact opposite actually." Diane said, eyeing him. "Not all of us are evil you know, the rumors you have heard were about my father and he was extremely ruthless. I never wanted to be apart of that. I'm not sure how I can help in this situation, I disowned the pack years ago and I refuse to step back in it and risk Cassandra's life." Jeremy stated. I couldn't blame him for that.
"So who runs the pack now?" I asked, surely someone has to run it right? "No one does, I killed my dad to get out and my mother died shortly after that. So with no one to control them literally anyone could take over and if Bosch has them then I hope like hell you have a great plan." Jeremy said, shaking his head. Well fuck. That is not what I wanted to hear. I looked around the room and could tell that everyone else was thinking the same thing I was. How the hell can we prepare to battle hundreds of rogues on top of the vampires and dark witches? "Do you know how they train?" I asked Jeremy in hopes he could tell us, that would at least give us a head start on things. "It's been a while since I've trained honestly but they don't train any differently than you guys do. How long do you have until he attacks?" He asked. "We have until the golden moon. So about a month and a half away but we don't want to wait, we will pick them off slowly to lessen their numbers." Stephen replied. "I think we should stay and train.." Cassandra spoke up, her voice came out like a squeak. I knew she was nervous, it came off her in waves. "Why would you want to stay? We can go somewhere else and hide away." Jeremy said, tilting his head towards her. "I don't want to keep hiding and looking over my shoulder, I can train and be stronger. I know you'd protect me but you won't always be near me when something happens." Cassandra replied with pleading eyes.
So she wants to train? How long has she felt that way? Jeremy looks torn on what to do. "Jeremy, they will train her. Alley fought with heart and she fought hard to protect those around her. Even gave me some broken ribs and a broken nose." Ambrosia smiled at me. Jeremy turned to me with a shocked expression. "You did that to her?" He asked, not really believing it. "Yes, in my old pack I trained hard and I've been in more fights than I should have at my age but all of us would protect her." I replied with a small smile. Stephen wrapped his arms around me as if he remembered it all. "Fine, mind if we stay here? No offense to you Ambrosia but they do have a shield up so I would feel a little better about it." Jeremy said. "Non taken Jeremy, this is a good place to stay. You both will learn a lot." Ambrosia replied. "Why aren't your eyes red?" Jasmine blurted out. Jeremy chuckled, "I have colored contacts in. Can't live among humans with burning red eyes now can I?" He wasn't wrong about that. Even though humans know we exist doesn't mean they don't fear us. "Why did you walk away from your pack?" I asked. "I had an older sister. She found her mate who was human and she wanted to be with him naturally but our dad didn't want her to leave. He actually forbade it, so he killed her mate in front of her and locked her in the cells until she died." Jeremy said with a pained look on his face.
