Chapter 117:
Alley POV:
It's been two week and I'm finally able to move around without any help. Today we are announcing the unity of the wolves, witches and vampires. Word started getting around that my brothers were mated to Ambrosia and Pythia. At first seeing them together was a little weird, I was used to seeing strong, hard women and now they are mushy and smiling all the time. I must say it is a really nice change and honestly cute as hell. Today will be the first time all our people will be together and I must admit I am really excited about it, lots of new people and new friends. My mother along with the other girls' moms were setting everything up, the rest of us ladies were told to make sure the food was on track and all the guests were behaving. Danny and Ember were entertaining the children and I was pretty sure Ember was in her own world of happiness, sure she is massive but she is amazing when it comes to children. I was trying my best to be patient waiting for Athea to grace us all with her presence, she was our guest of honor for the announcement and she had her own announcement herself. My mind kept trying to think of what it could be, I wonder if it was about the king and queen situation. I am incredibly nervous but I know that as long as I have the others around me we will be just fine. As I walked into the kitchen my mind started going back to the sweet nights Stephen and I had the last few weeks who know a burly man like him could be so sweet and gentle and as many times as we have mated it's a wonder I haven't shown up pregnant just yet but then again it's only been a few weeks.
"What is going through your head over there Alley?" Emma asked as she walked into the kitchen. "Just reminiscing about the last few weeks." I replied smiling. "Gross, I don't need to hear about you and Stephen having sex." Emma made as she scrunched her face up. "Oh don't even start, we have all been acting like rabbits lately, but I am curious as to what Athea will be announcing." I replied. "I was thinking the same thing honestly, we know the celebration is coming up but I wonder if there is something more." Emma said as she arranged the fruit trays. "Maybe she is going to talk about the healing of the rogues maybe?" Jasmine chimed in as she walked in the kitchen with a vase full of red roses and yellow sun flowers. "Maybe, I don't know what else she would have to say. Those look beautiful by the way." I said, staring at the flowers. "Thank you! I have always loved sunflowers and roses together, something about the colors makes me smile." Jasmine replied. Chloe, Charlotte and Diane walked in arms full of boxes. "What is all of that?" I asked. "Heck I don't even know, your momma asked us to bring it to you." Chloe replied as she set the box on the ground. I walked over and opened the first box to balloons popping out with "Congratulations" written on them. I turned around to the girls who looked just as confused as I was. "Open the other boxes please." I said. Charlotte and Diane opened the boxes they had and more balloons came out.
Why would my mom pack balloons in a box? "That's weird. Why these balloons?" Emma asked. "I have no idea, maybe because of the new changes and peace?" I replied leaning on the counter. "Where is my mom?" I asked. "She is out back with our moms." Diane replied. I nodded my head and walked towards the front door, as I stepped outside I took a minute to just enjoy the sun beaming down on my skin. I looked around to see so many people running around laughing and enjoying themselves, this is what I wanted all along. The vampires and dark witches were just a bonus and now we can show that the peace can be kept. I decided to take my shoes off before I stepped off the porch, feeling the grass under my feet made me feel closer to nature. I walked around the corner of the house to see Tye and Pythia up against the house. I cleared my throat, gaining their attention. "Sorry to interrupt you two but you know we have rooms right?" I said giggling at the embarrassment that was plastered on their faces. "Oh uh we weren't doing that Alley I promise" Pythia said stepping away from Tye. "Oh really? Had I been fooled." I replied not bothering to take the smile off my face. "I'm going to go find the others." Tye said quickly kissing Pythias cheek and running off. I walked over to Pythia and wrapped my arm around her shoulder. "You know, y'all are really adorable. I'm glad it is you he is mated to truthfully." I said bumping her hip with mine.
I caught her smiling out of the corner of my eye, "I did not see that coming at all truthfully but I am glad it is him too. He is so sweet Alley and the best lov-" "Alright I don't need to hear what you two do behind closed doors." I said cutting her off before she got too far off into details. "You're mother sent me balloons, do you know why?" She asked. Now that is weird. Why would my mom send her balloons as well? "Not a clue, that is actually what I was going to find her for. She sent me and the girls balloons too." I replied. "Hey sister in laws." Ambrosia chimed in sporting a huge grin on her face. This is a really nice change, Ambrosia was always so serious and nearly stone faced. "Where are you heading?" I asked. "To see your momma, she sent me balloons that said congratulations." Ambrosia replied. Pythia and I exchanged a look. Okay something is definitely up. "What are those looks for?" Ambrosia asked, crossing her hands across her chest. "Well looks like we all have the same curiosity." I replied walking forward wrapping my other arm around Ambrosia. "I think this family is going to get a lot more fun." I said giggling. As we turned the corner I saw my mother along with the others rushing around the tables that were set up beautifully. White table cloths and the sunflowers and red roses as centerpieces, tents were set up so everyone had shade from the sun, new flower bushes had been planted lining the walkways.
