Chapter 52:

Stephens POV:
When we got to my office everyone sat around where they could. I had a few ideas but I wasn't so sure the others would go for it. Alphas do have big egos and pride was a bitch to deal with. I looked out the window and saw the women sitting in a circle, I knew my princess could teach them perfectly. Everything had been a whirlwind and we honestly needed a break but it was hard to step outside the barrier because the goddess only knows what is waiting on the other side. I signed before turning back around to address the others. "Does anyone have any ideas before I say mine?" I asked, looking around the room. "Why don't we diminish the borders until after the fight?" Josh asked. "We could but that still wouldn't fix how we would all communicate." I replied back to him. "Is there a way for us to mind link without rebuking our packs?" Devin asked. He literally mirrored my thoughts which gave me a little hope that my ideas wouldn't be shut down so easily. "I've never heard of something like that being done, could it even be possible?" Austin asked, looking deep I thought.
"Honestly I don't know. It's something we would have to look into." I said. "What if we intertwined our packs?" Alleys dad asked. "I wouldn't mind that but how would we keep our status as alphas if we did that?" Collin asked, kind of surprising given he is that most stubborn. Racking my brain trying to figure it out it dawned on me. "We could, and keep our status as alphas but break apart in regions per say." I said. They all looked like they were deep in their own thoughts trying to comprehend what I was telling them. "That isn't a bad idea but how can we accomplish that?" Pierce asked. Before I could say another word I felt flooded with warmth that passed through me sending chills down my spine. "What the fuck was that?" Collin asked, looking alarmed. "That would be our women successfully placing a protection wall around the other packs." I chuckled. Jackson, Tye, Alex, Brandon and Alleys dad had smiles across their faces while the others had a look of confusion. "How?" Andrew asked. "I'll let Alley explain that one, she does it better." I said
They had so much to learn just like I did and the thought of it made me laugh. Collin especially since he was a tight ass. "My mother said that the women are to form the witches council while our mates will form the wolf council." Alley said through our mind link. We are to be the council for the wolves? Why can't one council reside over everyone? I guess in a way it made sense. "Stephen? You okay man?" Tye asked me, pulling me out of my thoughts. "Yeah I'm fine. Alley mind linked me, apparently our mates will form a witches council while us men form the wolf council." I said. To say they were shocked was an understatement. All of this seemed like one mega cluster fuck and we needed to figure all of this out in a short time. I needed a stiff drink and my mate. "How are we going to figure this shit out before this fight comes up?" Andrew asked, a little irritated. "We can talk to the element barriers when they come back, they are trying to tackle a task at the moment. For now we will have to brainstorm and train like crazy." I said feeling exhausted and it's only been a few hours.
"We will have to put our heads together on merging our packs but I'm not sure where to start. We found a lot of information with books so maybe we can start there." I said. "That would be a good star--" Devin tried to say before we heard the women scream. We were on our feet and out the door before anyone could blink. I bolted out of the house, I didn't feel any pain so I knew my princess was okay. Turning the corner I saw the women running forward looking worried. Alex and Brandon had shifted into their wolves and cut them off, halting them. I looked where they were all staring and all four element barriers were beaten and battered while Atsila laid on the ground next to a woman. What the hell happened?! I pulled Alley close to my side and I could see the tears in her eyes. "Stephen, we have to help them!" She yelled while trying to break free of me to tend to them. "We will Alley breath, Get them all inside now!" I belched bringing everyone back to reality. Alex and Brandon shifted back while the others checked over their mates who were visibly shaken. "Alley princess what happened?" I asked, wiping the tears that had escaped her beautiful eyes. She took a few deep breaths "I don't know, I was telling the girls about Danny and out of nowhere they showed up looking like that, they didn't say anything.." She trailed off. "It's okay we will figure this out." I said, wrapping my arms around her, she fisted her hands in my shirt and inhaled my scent to calm her.
"Lilly I need you and a few others to the pack house now, there are 6 people who need medical attention ASAP." I mind linked our pack doctor, seeing the state they were in I knew a few others needed to be here to help. "Yes Alpha on our way." Lilly said back.
"Is everyone okay?" I asked looking around, all the alphas held their mates soothing them. All I received was a nod from each of them. "Let's go inside and figure all this out. I've mind linked the pack doctor and she is on her way with a few others." I said before walking forward with Alley in my arms clinging to me, I could feel how worried she was. I ran my fingers through her hair to soothe her.
