Chapter 93:

Alley POV:

"There is nothing to say, just let us be there for him. We will keep our wolves in check." Devin said. "Thank you all so much." Stephen said. "I would like y'all to be there. One big family!" Danny shouted as he hugged everyone he could. "Now if that is all settled let's get a move on shall we?" Diane said, wiping her own tears away. Danny walked proudly in front of us like he had no fear left in the world. I had no idea the others would do such a thing for him. I know they are good people but this goes beyond anything I ever expected. When we got to the cells Danny stopped and looked around. I could smell the fear that started to rise in him. This was his first time seeing her since we took him. I walked and stood in front of Danny, Stephen came up to my right while everyone else surrounded him. "We promised to keep you safe, and we will. You just tell me when you're ready." I said kissing the top of his head. "I'm ready." Danny squeaked out. I opened the door glad to not smell that nasty stench. We finally had a few people come down and clean it so we could walk in and not want to hurl with each step. I felt Danny grab on to the back of my shirt, I knew this place scared him. This is no place for a child but if seeks forgiveness then that is something none of us will stand in the way of.
We stood in front of her cell, Danny still secured behind me, "Well well little Danny wanted to see his dear old aunt?" Linda grunted out, Danny clenched tighter to my shirt. She sounded horrible, her voice was raspy and thick. "Aw he needs protection now does he?" Linda sneered moving around to get her eyes on Danny. A threatening growl escaped my lips. "You will watch what you say. You don't get to speak to him like that got me?" I snapped. Linda's eyes went wide as if she just realized who he was surrounded by. Danny took my hand and took a side step to stand between me and Stephen but stayed behind us. "I- I'm not here to really see you.. I am here- here to forgive you." Danny stuttered. "Forgive me? What did I do?" Linda scoffed. She can't be serious right? "Bitch." Rose mumbled. "You were so mean to me." Danny whispered. "Mean? Because I wouldn't let you have toys? Or rock you to sleep like you mommy did." Linda growled. No the hell she didn't, Danny flinched at her words and growls erupted around me. "You will mind your tongue or I will rip it out." Stephen growled out. I felt a presence, not a threatening one. More like a protective one. What is that? "Ember is here with Danny, not physically yet but she is here." Rose said proudly. Ember? She must know Danny is feeling a certain way. I looked down to Danny whose eyes were glowing, he stood taller and stronger. "You will not speak to us that way. Danny came here to forgive you for your wrong doings and you dare disrespect him? You dare even speak at all!" Ember roared. Oh shit. "Uh Rose.." I squeaked, "Ember is fine, she is just showing dominance. Danny is fully aware and is okay. Trust in Ember." Rose replied.
"Okay I can do that but I don't need Ember killing her!" I shouted. I Heard Rose laugh, "She won't kill her. Ember only kills those who harm Danny physically or gets close. Linda is trying to upset him and hurt his feelings." Rose replied. "And who are you? Did Danny get a wolf?" Linda asked wide eyed as if she couldn't believe it. "You tried hurting our Danny. He called to me for strength for what he wanted to do and I gladly came. You will shut your mouth and listen, am I understood?" Ember growled out. Linda lowered her head, I could feel the power rolling off of Ember and Danny. No one said anything as the glow in his eyes died out. "You were a meanie to me! I was all alone when my first mommy and daddy died. I forgive you for hurting me. I have a new family, they are so cool and so nice to me." Danny shouted. This is new, I've never seen Danny so upset before or speak so clearly, must be Ember tangled in with him. "I'm sorry." Linda whispered. "No you aren't! I can tell when someone is lying! All you do is lie!" Danny shouted, his little body started to shake. He can tell when people lie? Is that from his ability? "You're a child, you can't tell when anyone lies." Linda spat. "It's part of the cool gift the goddess gave me. She is my friend!" Danny said. Linda started laughing like this was all one big joke. "So the goddess herself is your friend?" Linda asked. "Actually she is. We spent some time with her not long ago and Linda. Where you are going is a place no one wants to go. She saw how you treated him and she knows you are not sorry for anything. Have fun rotting with the worst of the worst." I said glaring at her.
"Impossible. The goddess doesn't care about us if she did none of this bad shit would be happening!" Linda looked a little panicked. "We have always been free to choose how we live our life. But to hurt an innocent child because you didn't get what you want is unacceptable." Stephen replied. "So what? Now a child will decide my fate?" Linda asked. "I have seen what will happen to you. I do not feel sad. You were so mean to me but I do forgive you." Danny replied. I could still feel Ember within him and it made me happy that she was able to give him the strength to not be scared. "Well I didn't know you had it in you to let someone die Danny. Or is it you wolf talking? Either way the place I go has to be better than this. I don't regret what I did. I was supposed to be the next seer! Not some weak child who doesn't know anything about the real world." With each word Linda said she took small steps forward, I could feel the hate roll off of her in waves. She grunted with each step, I knew she was in pain. Stephen and I stood closer to Danny. "You even try it and you will die." Emma seethed. "What are y'all? His personal guards?" Linda laughed. "No bitch. We are his family. His real family." Chloe growled. "I don't want to be here anymore. She is mean and I want to be happy. I feel better and forgive her." Danny said, hugging me. "We will leave then, my sweet boy." I said picking him up and walking out of the cells. When we got outside I put him down. "Can I talk to Ember please?" I asked, for a minute he looked confused but then his eyes started to glow.
"Thank you Ember. I didn't know you would come so soon." I said, smiling at them. "He called out for me and Athea let me come. I choose to stay with him from here on out. It is too hard to be away from him." Ember said. I knew exactly what she was saying. "I do have some things to tell you all though, some abilities of mine and Danny's that you all need to know before you see it." Ember said. "Okay, well how about after we have dinner we can all talk?" Stephen asked. Ember nodded and Danny's eyes stopped glowing. "Isn't she cool?! I hoped she would come! I was really scared." Danny said "She is very cool buddy, now let's go eat some dinner," Josh replied ruffling Danny's hair. As we walked back I wondered what his and Ember's abilities were. What did she have to tell us? I guess soon enough we will learn about what it could possibly be.
