Chapter 49:
Alley POV:
Sitting around the table everyone showed no emotions. Patiently waiting on why we had called them here on an urgent matter. I had my hands in my lap fidgeting with my fingers. Stephen placed his hand over mine "Calm down princess it'll be fine." he mind linked me. "I'm going to ask that no one interrupt while I explain, after you are all free to ask any questions. Deal?" Everyone nodded their head but we had their full attention. "My mate and I have discovered some history of our lineages, as well as who we truly are. My bloodline comes from the last remaining royal line, we all know each family was bestowed a gift by the goddess herself. My family has the gift of a shield where no dark magic can touch anything that's behind it." Stephen said a little slowly to make sure everyone heard correctly. I cleared my throat, "There isn't any easy way to say this so I'm just going to say it. I am the next Great White Witch. I carry all five elements." I stated. One by one shock registered across their faces.
"We also have our own personal guards on the witch's side. They carry four of the elements, they are the two you see next to us. Jack and Sammie. They are the first born protectors, they can also feel our emotions as well as each others. If we ever feel uneasy or anything they can feel it, it's how they know when we are in danger." I said, their eyes shifted between the four of us. Some of them I could tell would have many questions. "Our wolves are also special. They have the ability to tap into our powers per say. They are Siphoners. The goddess chose them to be with us because of a threat that has been made. The first great white witch Raleigh was murdered by her brother Bosch because he thought he could take her powers and rule over all the goddess's creatures." Stephen said. I watched as a few of them put their heads down like they remember when that happened. "There is a war that is coming, Bosch seems to think he has found a way to steal Alley's powers as well as mine. We felt it was right to inform you all in case he tries to attack any of you, of course we would help if anything were to happen." Stephen said.
We waited for everyone to understand what we were saying and I silently prayed to the moon goddess that they understand and don't utterly flip out on us. The Lunas looked at me and that's when I noticed it. All their eyes weren't the way they looked before. One by one they smiled at me when they realized I noticed. "You all have elements.." I whispered taking in each of them. The alphas snapped their heads to me. "How did you know?" The one at the end said. "Their eyes. I can see past the color they are portraying." I said. "Alpha Pierce, how long has your Luna had an element?" Stephen asked. Alpha Pierce looked hesitant to say anything, his deep brown eyes glazed over and I assumed he was talking to his Luna. I really need to learn all of their names. "She came to me a few months ago. Said others would be gifted as well but didn't tell me anything else. I'm Diane. It's very nice to meet you, Alley." She said, smiling at me. "You carry the water element. Your eyes are like the ocean. None of you have to hide it from me. The faster we get the truth out the faster we come up with a plan and I'm sure there is a reason you were all gifted with an element." I said.
It was like a weight lifted off of them and their eyes changed. A smile broke across my face when I looked at each of them. Diane had a slim figure but she had light blue streaks in her hair, her eyes were swirled with a mix of light blue and dark blue. It was truly breathtaking. "I'm Emma, I carry fire." She stated proudly, her hair nearly matched her eyes. She had fair skin and her hair was naturally curly. "This is my mate Devin." He looked at us and his eyes showed no emotions. "I'm Austin, this is my mate Charlotte, she also carries fire." They both had jet black hair but hers had a red tint to it. "I'm Jasmine, I carry Earth, my sister is Chloe and she carries Wind, we got our elements together at a dinner we hosted." She said, Her eyes were bright green while Chloe's were brown with a small amount of gray. Both ladies were stunning, I could tell they were related, both had almond shaped eyes and tan skin. "I also carry wind, my name is Stefanie. I do have a question, why were we all gifted?" She asked. "I'm not sure honestly, I was just gifted with all five and we are still learning about it. One thing that is certain is you can all place a protection around you're packs to protect them." I said.
What could all of this mean? Why are they being gifted all of a sudden? "Mom please tell me you've made some progress on the research." I asked through the mind link. "I just found a book about Raleigh's chosen friends, so far they are all females. I'll keep you posted." She replied back to me. "My mother is looking into it currently so hopefully I will have some answers for you." I said. "I will be glad to answer that question." Davina said, I snapped my head towards her, I don't think I will ever get used to any of them just popping in and out. "And who are you?" Austin snapped. All of them had looks that could kill, I forget that they don't know who she is. Luckily Davina wasn't offended, instead she offered a smile. "I am Davina, I am the spirit barrier." Her voice was light and she walked gracefully to stand beside me. "Although I can't tell you exactly what will happen, maybe I could shed some light on why you six were gifted." She looked to the six women who now stood around the table waiting patiently for her to explain. "You six are the chosen six, the outside protectors, six outside points that form a circle with Alley and Stephen in the middle. Each of you is the first shield of protection when the war happens. Don't fret if they get through the barriers, the end battle will be between Alley and Bosch. Many will fall trying to get to them." Davina said, looking at each of us and I think my heart fell into my ass.
What does the goddess have planned? How big is this damn war going to be? How many creatures does Bosch have on his side? Is it bigger than the number we all have? So many questions that can't fully be answered and that is frustrating. I want us all to be prepared but it's hard when we don't fully know what we are going against. Low growls filled the room and I knew the Alphas didn't like their mates being threatened. "If the moon goddess thought they couldn't handle the responsibility she wouldn't have sent the others to bestow their abilities, you all have a responsibility and in the end we know you will prevail, it will be a long road ahead. You need to train your packs harshly." Davina said. "We know Bosch is coming up with a plan but what is our time frame?" I asked her "When the golden moon rises. That's all I can tell you, I felt all of you together in one room and came to give some insight. Now I must go back to help search for Atsila." She said facing me. She placed her hand on my shoulder and smiled. "Don't worry, we will find him and figure everything out. I must go back now but I will see you soon." She turned and walked out of the door leaving everyone to stare at me.
