Danny POV:

Athea closed her eyes and smiled, when they were open again her green eyes turned bright. They are really pretty. She bent over and picked up a basket. It looked like the basket Alley and Stephen used for our picnic. That was a really fun day! "I decided to get all different types for you." Athea said, smiling at me. Her teeth are so white. She doesn't have those wrinkle thingies like my aunt does. "Why don't you have those wrinkle thingies like my aunt?" I asked. She busted out laughing, what is so funny? "My sweet boy, wrinkles come from a lot of hatred and stress. Here I am happy and stress free." Athea said. I looked in the basket and saw an apple. "Can I have the apple?" I asked. "You don't have to ask, go ahead and get what you want." I like being able to eat. My aunt wouldn't let me eat everyday. Now I eat all the time! Everyone says that I am a growing boy and nana let's me have anything I want. Even sweet stuff! "Will there be anyone else like me?" I asked. "No, there is no one else like you. Why do you ask?" She asked. "Well how will I learn? Nana says I have to learn to be smart." All people have to learn right? "You are right Danny, I will supply everything you will need. I feel that there is something more to your question Danny. Tell me what is on your mind?"
"What if people think I am a freak?" I asked. I've been picked on a lot because my eyes are different. "I can't say that people won't but I do know that you are strong enough to not let it get to you. Eventually you will be the one that people come to for guidance, hold tight to that and it will get you through anything." She replied. "Am I supposed to feel peoples feelings? Like I know you are not lying to me. I feel it." I replied. "Yes you are. It is how you will be able to tell the good people from the bad people. This is something I will explain to Alley and Stephen when we see them again." Athea replied. "Can we go now? I miss them and I really really really want to meet Ember." I asked jumping off the big swing. "Alright let's go." Athea said. I get to meet Ember! And see my new mommy and daddy! "Take my hand, this will be a much faster way." She said. "Will it hurt?" "Of course not. Just take a deep breath and close your eyes. When you open them we will be close." She replied. Oh! Just like what Alley does! I closed my eyes just like she said. Is this what flying feels like? Are we flying? That would be so cool! When I opened my eyes I saw so many wolves! We got closer and I could smell food. "Well something certainly smells good." Athea said. The wolves are so big! And there are so many of them!
"Would you like some? Danny, are you hungry?" Alley asked. "No thank you, Danny and I had some food on the other side." Athea replied. I ran over to Alley wrapping my arms around her. "Are these your wolves?" I asked looking behind her to see a huge black and white wolf and a colorful one. Wow, they were so pretty! "They are, this is Denver. Stephens wolf, and that one over there, is Rose. My wolf." She said pointing over to Rose. "They are so huge! And so pretty! How do they fit inside y'all?" I asked, Athea started laughing. "My you are full of questions, young one." I Sat down beside Alley petting Denver. He is so soft! "Did you have fun with Athea?" Alley asked. "I did! She taught me so much, it's super helpful." I replied. Stephen walked over with so much food in each hand. "Unfortunately when you are finished eating I must send you both back." Athea said. They sounded so sad. "Not to worry my little wolves, they may come back to visit after the battle." Athea said, smiling at all of us.
"Thank you for this Athea, this place. It's beautiful." Alley said. She came around Denver and sat down in front of us. "You don't have to thank me Alley. It was my pleasure." She replied. "Danny would you like to meet Ember?" Athea asked. "Yes! Yes please!" I shouted clapping my hands. "What does Ember have to do with Danny?" Stephen asked. "Ember will be my wolf! She is a super special wolf like me!" I seen a huge wolf walk towards me. Athea was right! She does match my eyes! "Ember I know you have been waiting a long time to meet him. This is Danny." Athea said. Ember laid on her belly and rolled over. "She is so funny!" I giggled. "Can I touch her?" I asked. I really really wanted to pet her. She is sooo fluffy! "Of course you may." Athea said. "Hi Ember! I can't wait till you come to me! I promise to make you super happy!" I said petting her. She is softer than Stephens big wolf. "I will wait patiently Danny but trust in me to protect you." What was that?! Ember blew out a big breath. "Danny you can hear her when she speaks to you, don't be scared." Athea said laughing. "Please do not be scared of me." I heard her again! That is so cool! "You are so pretty! More pretty than Rose and Denver but shh don't tell them." I said quietly. A laugh echoed my head. "It is time you all go back." Athea said. "No wait! I want to stay with Ember!" I shouted. "It's okay Danny I will be with you soon enough." I heard Ember say. "It's okay Danny, you will see her sooner than you think." Athea said.
But she was so pretty and soft. I did not want to leave her here. "Promise?" I asked. I felt my eye get water in them. "I promise my sweet boy." Athea replied. "Don't cry Danny." Alley said. I sniffed and looked at Ember. She licked my face! Such a silly wolf. "Remember what I said Danny, when you need her she will come, if you never need her she will come to you when you are of age." Athea said. "Are you mad at me for leaving? Please don't be mad at me!" I wrapped my arms around her large neck which didn't go all the way around, "I could never be mad at you Danny, do not be upset, be happy that we met and will meet again okay?" Ember said. "Okay. As long as you are not mad at me." I said kissing her nose. "It is time." Athea said. Stephen and Alley were standing next to her. "Come here sweet boy." Stephen said. He picked me up and I always liked it. Made me feel super tall! "Can I start calling you daddy? and you mommy?" I asked. "Of course you can." Alley said, kissing my cheek. "I would love that." Stephen said, smiling at me. His teeth were white too! The last thing I remember was Athea holding us before I think I fell asleep.
