Chapter 66:
Alley POV:
When I opened my eyes I took in my surroundings. The river that turned into a lake, the edges were filled with moss and grass that had gotten out of control, trees surrounded us. "Looks like it didn't take y'all long to get an answer." Pythia said, making us all turn around. This time she had an entire coven behind her. "We did, you are right. We need to stop Bosch but in order to do that we have to work together, so we are agreeing to the peace." I said, gauging all their reactions. "I have sent scouts to find Bosch and try to get a number of people." Pythia said. "So have we. We will make sure they know we are in peace with you and not to harm a dark witch as long as they are not attacked. If they are attacked then we know those ones work for Bosch." I replied. "Agreed, I will send Stony and Lillith to tell the others, should we need to meet again I will send someone to press on the shield three times. We can meet by the waters edge." Pythia said. "Deal. We will do more research to see what we can find out. If our trackers come back with any information we will let you know." I replied. "Deal, have you learned anything so far?" Pythia asked.
I nodded my head, "When the golden moon rises that's when Bosch will try to sacrifice me, it'll turn into the blood moon and dark witches are suppose to perform it." I replied. "We still have a few months and we are going to talk to the vampire queen and we have sent trackers to hunt down the rogue king." Stephen added. No one seemed shocked. "It would be wise to try to get them on our side, the more numbers we have the better chance we all have at surviving this." Pythia said. "The rogue king will be hard to find but we will try a locator spell when the moon is at it's peak tonight and if we find a location I will let you know." She finished. "Don't you have to have something of his?" Jack asked. "Not really, our magic doesn't work like y'alls magic does. but the house he lived in still has some of his stuff in it, I will have Stony and Lillith stop by there on their way back to see what they can find, the faster we can get everyone to agree to peace the faster we can train and be ready." Pythia said. I honestly agree. "There is other stuff that we learned but it might be best if we have everyone together at once, but one thing I will say is the six other women you see with me are the chosen six. The territories they live in surround mine, they will be the first round of protection when the battle happens." I said looking around to everyone.
"That makes sense, we can set up others around those territories and counter attack those who try to get in. We must take as many of them out as we can." Stony said. "In the end it will be me that fights Bosch. I'm the only one that can match his power but I have one element he doesn't have and I'm working on how to use it to perfection." I said, surprise registered on Pythias face. "You? What do you have that he doesn't?" She asked, "I have the spirit element, I can not only heal myself faster than my wolf can but I can heal others, infuse others with it so they can heal fast as well. But if I pull it from me it can wipe my energy out, if I pull from the element itself then I will be fine." I said, all their eyes widened. "I thought there were only four elements?" Pythia said but it was more of a question. "It's rare that someone is gifted with it, the last person was Raleigh. It will help us tremendously in battle." I said. "Can you show me?" She asked. "Yes, do you have a knife?" I asked. instantly she pulled a knife from the inside of her boot, I walked forward holding my hand out in which she placed the knife. I grabbed her hand, turning it over and sliced open her palm. She didn't wince in pain or anything. I placed my hands over hers and closed my eyes, feeling the warm spread from my entire body until it reached my palms, I released her hand for her to see the gash that was on her palm healed. Everyone gasped as I took a step back.
She inspected her hand a few times before she looked at me. "I see what I had heard was wrong. I knew you had four elements but we didn't know about the spirit element. Probably because we can't carry it." She said studying me closer. "Maybe after all of this you could teach me about them." She said looking at all of us. "We could teach each other and maybe the peace we have called can remain, our worlds will never be perfect but if we remain in peace and work together on certain things our lives will be much smoother." I said smiling. "It would be nice to stop living in fear. I'll speak to my covens about everything when the battle is over, I think everyone needs to see if we will truly work together first." Pythia said. Honestly she didn't seem so bad after all, we all want to live in peace and be happy and I'll admit dark witches have had it worse than we did. "I will agree to that, we will find the vampire queen this week and send a message to her and see if she responds, maybe you, Stony and Lillith would come if she does agree to speak with us, maybe if she sees we made peace it'll ease her mind." I offered. "We will be there." Pythia said, holding her hand out to me. I placed my hand in hers, gripping it tightly and shaking her hand. "Until we meet again Alley." She said. "We will meet again soon." I said, stepping back, grabbing Stephens hand and sending us back home.
"Well that went a lot better than I could ever except." Josh said. "Maybe there is a little hope after all." Diane replied. "We will still keep them at arms length just in case." I said while everyone nodded their heads. "You did great princess." Stephen said, kissing the top of my head. I looked up and smiled at him. I heard the front door open and a very excited Danny stormed through the house. "I guess he is coming in here to show us what he got." Stephen said, chuckling. "We will see everyone at dinner." I said, grabbing Stephens hand and pulling him out the door to go find our little Danny. Pythia doesn't seem all that bad, she is just trying to keep her people alive like the rest of us, maybe just maybe we can pull all of this off and become greater than what our ancestors were. Only time will tell but I will take this as a small victory for now.
