Chapter 121:
Alley POV:
We spent all day pampering ourselves and getting new outfits for us all to wear tonight. Since white seemed to set the mood we decided to wear white dresses and our mates to wear white suits to match. When we got home I quickly ran upstairs to shower, when I stepped out I wrapped my hair up in a towel after I dried myself off and pulled out my makeup. I didn't want to wear too much of it so I chose to use the nude pallets, beautiful shades of brown, tan and beige. I applied a small amount of base before deciding that the tan would better suit my skin tone for today, with a light shade of blush, a smidge of mascara and it is done. I brushed through my hair that seems to have turned a little more white, not that I mind. I actually like it. I decided to slick the sides back and curl the rest, it blended my now two toned hair color very well. I put on my white lace bra and matching panties before slipping on my dress that stopped just above my ankles. I picked a dress that had thick straps, silk under the lace topping. I picked out white flats that were oddly comfortable for new shoes. I took a step back and looked at myself, if I didn't know me I wouldn't even recognize myself. I looked really healthy, glowing and strong. "You look beautiful Alley." Rose said, making me smile. "Thank you Rose, It's not often I hear flattering words from you." I replied back, I heard her snort which made me laugh.
A soft knock on the door pulled me from my thoughts, I walked towards the door and opened it to see my mother standing on the other side. "You look beautiful my dear, may I come in?" She asked. "Of course momma, you know you're always welcomed." I said taking a step back letting her in. "Is everything alright?" I asked. "Oh yes, I just haven't been able to spend much time with my baby girl. I just wanted to see you for a moment before tonight. Come have a seat." She said, patting the sofa that was lined against the wall. I walked over and sat down next to her. She pulled me into a hug, "I am so proud of you, you know that right?" She asked, hugging me tighter. "I do momma, you raised me right so all the credit goes to you." I replied. I heard her chuckle before she pulled back to look at me, "You've turned out better than I could have ever." She replied. I tilted my head and took in her features, she looked wiser beyond her years and she no longer hid the red streaks in her hair or the red in her eyes. She looked like she could bring hell to earth if she had to. She looked strong and fierce but behind her eyes I could see she was tired. "Tell me what is on your mind momma, something is hiding in your eyes." I said tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, "Your daddy and I will step down soon and we want to stay here, I know it isn't really tradition but I'm about to have three grand pups and I don't want to miss a thing." She said as tears filled her eyes. "Hey no crying, we can build you and daddy a beautiful house so you can visit at any time. You guys don't have to leave, no one will make you." I said, wiping the few tears that slid down her cheeks.
Her shoulders relaxed and she finally looked at me and nodded. "You have no idea how happy that makes me." She said as she leaned forward kissing my forehead. "Now I am going to go, your father is with your brothers getting them ready for the night and the responsibilities, Stephen is waiting for you downstairs." My mother said as she stood up. butterflies filled my belly and I hope that the feeling never goes away. The sight of him dressed up makes my heart skip several beats. I took a moment to collect myself, my nerves were starting to go haywire about tonight. What if something goes wrong? Or what if I use too much energy? What about the others? I guess I do worry a lot. I felt Rose purring around in my head and it was calming me back down. I turned on my heels and walked out of the door and towards the stairs. I took a deep breath and before I could take a step Jack appeared next to me. "You are not walking down these stairs alone, no offense but you can be clumsy." Jack said, smirking down at me. "I am not that clumsy Jack." I said, swatting his shoulder. "Uh yeah you are, and you are carrying my niece or nephew so zip it, take my arm and let's go before Stephen loses his patience." Jack said, holding his arm out to me. I rolled my eyes and latched my arm around his, as he led me down the stairs the room started to come into view and all our friends and family were waiting on me.
I felt a little bad that they had been waiting on me so long, but as soon as my eyes met Stephen's bright blue ones all my senses kicked into overdrive and it felt like it was our first date all over again. Rose purred louder in my head as I took in his crisp white suit with a matching white tie and flat top shoes. His hair was slicked back and he looked mighty fine. "You look beautiful princess." Stephen said as he extended his hand to me. I felt the blush creep across my face. "Thank you for walking her down Jack." Stephen said, looking at Jack. I knew it, I knew he sent Jack. "My witches and alphas, it is time." Athea said, gaining all of our attention. I see white was the right choice, Athea looked breathtakingly beautiful. Her hair was braided like a warrior, she wore a light shade of blue eye shadow that made her eyes stand out on a new level. There was a glow around her that rolled off positive vibes in waves. We all walked outside and out in the middle of the field, all of the element carriers surrounded all the rogues in a perfect circle while Jeremy and Cassandra stood in the middle. Little balls of fire surrounded the area so that it was well lit, everyone parted as we walked by allowing us to walk to the middle. When we got to the middle Athea turned to face us, "My witches and alphas, mix yourselves in the crowd, they will be better connected that way." Athea said, looking around. "Alley, Stephen you stay here." Athea added as everyone else walked off.
