Chapter 78:

Alley POV:

"That was good, but next time when you spin, take your leg and give a kick straight to the face." I said. There was a fire in her eyes and I knew she was hungry to learn. "Again." I said lunging at her, I decided not to tell her anything and let her go off her own instincts. She went straight for my legs using her body weight to knock me off my feet, wrapped one arm around my neck and used the other to lock it in and tighten. She tried pinning my legs to the ground, I used my right elbow and drove it into her ribs. She hissed in pain but quickly recovered. Once she was on her feet I lunged at her, she swung a left hook that I ducked under and wrapped my arms around her waist, lifting her up and slamming us down back first on the mat, I spun around trapping her under me when she slammed her head in to my nose making me stumble off of her. "Impressive." I said, smiling at her. She is able to think quickly in situations. I caught a glimpse of Jeremy who looked at her with pride. She smiled at me "I think I'm getting the hang of this." She replied. "You have the instinct to protect yourself, you just have to look for weak spots and use them." I replied. "She tilted her head to the side trying to figure out what I meant. "If I were to have a weak spot naturally I would guard it right? So if someone protects a certain part of their body it's because that particular spot is weak." I added. "So attack the weak spots as often as I can, I can manage that. But what if they are in wolf form?" She asked a little hesitantly. "We will supply you with a weapon, anything with silver will hurt us in human form and in wolf form. A knife will suit you best though." I replied. "Really? Why?" She asked.
"A knife is easy to hide and easy for you to get to, so if a wolf jumps at you then you can easily get to it and stab any part of the body." I replied. She nodded her head, "However, for as long as you are here you will have at least two guards on you, not that you can't protect yourself but if a surprise attack happens you'll be protected." I said, gauging her reaction. "Do you have guards?" She asked. I couldn't help but laugh a little. "Yes, I do. I have my brother and my best friend as well as Jack." I replied pointing at the three men who were staring at me. "So no one thinks you're weak with them guarding you?" She asked. I shook my head. "No, no one thinks I am weak, I would give my life to protect the people around me and that includes you." I said, patting her shoulder. "I've never had protection before Jeremy." She said, casting her eyes down. I wonder what happened to her but it isn't my place to ask. "Well one thing about us is we protect our packs. Not all alphas do that but we train alongside our people. You don't have to worry about not being protected when you are here." I said to reassure her. She gave me a soft smile.
"Hey ladies it's almost lunch time." Chloe said, walking up to us. "You looked good Cassandra, like a true natural." Diane said, smiling. "Thank y'all, Alley gave me pointers in the middle of it all." Cassandra replied. "I only gave her a few then I let her go off her natural instinct." I said winking at Cassandra, I wasn't going to take credit for any of it. She just needs to practice more but overall she did better than I thought. "You did good love." Jeremy said as he walked up. "You did good." Stephen said, "Nah I only gave her a few tips, other than that she did it all on her own." I said smiling up at his cloudy blue eyes. "Let's go and see what is for lunch, then after you will train with my mom." I said aiming the last part towards Cassandra. "Yes, and we will practice with the elements." Jasmine said. Truthfully I needed to feel connected with my elements, it always gives me a sense of happiness when I do. "That sounds good to me, I'm starving." Cassandra said, making us laugh. As we walked out I held myself back a little bit watching the people in front of me. "Are you okay princess?" Stephen asked as he stood beside me.
"I'm more than okay. Everyone has become like an extended part of our family." I said as I watched Emma and Charlotte teleport into different spots laughing their heads off. A smile crept across my face. "We couldn't have had better people to aid us." Stephen said as he looked ahead. "They are the best, and maybe after everything Jeremy and Cassandra can have a peaceful life you know?" I said. "Yeah, I hope so. He seems to be a down to earth kind of guy." Stephen replied. Cassandra was definitely the more talkative one out of the two, maybe over time Jeremy will come around but I can understand why he is being standoffish and I can't blame him at all but so far he seems to be an ok kind of person, time will tell though.
