CHAPTER 102
CHAPTER 2
After a lot of argument between the family Avyanna drank what was offered to her, she told them it was the last time she would give her consent as regards to the green drinks they offered her. Baron and Bavanda told her she would not have to give them her consent. Bavanda took Avyanna out for a walk she was later accompanied by Rania and Gina. Baron went out to make enquires, he wanted to be sure his choice from each of the kingdom was available he was not ready to told that two of the princes who succeeded in all of the trainings said they were not interested and they had to pick one of the former successor to be a part of the prince’s, although he was not a royal.
Baron discussed with his family in the absence of his daughter about how preparation went and the non-royal he accepted to be a part of the young princes who would present their selves to Bavanda and see if they click. He said he was sure that the lad would not win, that he knew his daughters taste was impeccable. Rania made a joke out of what he said and they all laughed about it.
“You all set off as early as possible be sure to present letters to all the heads in each kingdom.” Baron saw the smile on the face of his wife he knew that she was satisfied with the response he had given.
Baron and his family ate what the girls had prepared they continued to chat on the success of Bavanda’s training, Bavanda boasted about her fulfilment on the days activity and she told Gina that she enjoyed the lectures therein.
“Sir Jonathan I am very interested in archery, remember you said you would put me through”. Bavanda said as she dished out steamed broccoli and rice.
“You are better than your mother already Bavanda.”
“Well no one said being perfect is not a deal.” Bavanda replied.
“Oh, sorry ma.” Jonathan chuckled.
“So tomorrow at dawn?" Bavanda questioned.
“Nope.” Rania replied.
“Why no.” Bavanda questioned her response, she knew Rania would not give a negative response except it was for the very reason she felt she said no.
“Tomorrow is dress picking day and we have some letters to present to the head of kingdoms.” Rania responded.
“I would not have to pick the dress and you can send your letters”
“Its your eighteenth birthday coming up baby you have be a part of it.” Avyanna replied.
“Mother I sincerely see no reason for us to throw a party” Bavanda responded.
“There is every reason to throw a party my dear” Gina screamed.
“Why?” Bavanda questioned
“Its to reckon with your other prowess darling, see the beauty and babies connect with your inner ability” Gina screamed.
“Enough with your screaming Gina!” Baron said. He wondered what he would say to his daughter that would enable her see reasons why she would want to be a part of the whole party arrangement, he saw she wanted to be a part of the party and she wanted to have a feel of it but she had phobia about her metamorphosing. Baron could feel her fears even Avyanna could read her fears but she knew that her husband had it fixed all he had to do was to open his mouth and speak.
“My warrior you do not have to hate your party or not want to be a part of the whole process, you are skilled in everything there is to be skilled in and most importantly you would experience our tradition raw and in sight, let’s not shy away from the fact that you can meet your mate and make new friends, plus you would see every creature from every kingdom they would be willing to teach you a thing or two about their craft, you would be actually happy at the end of the occasion that you were involved wholeheartedly”. Baron advised. He moved up to his daughter and pecked her on her forehead. Avyanna did the same and whispered I love you dearly in her ear. The couple left for their chambers. Gradually the dinning room was empty with Bavanda sitting on the same chair she sat, she talked to herself and wondered if all her father said about the experience would occur there was only one way to find out and that to her involved.
Rania and Nathan left early to the kingdoms in the east and west, while Jonathan and the other’s left for north and south. In no time the kingdom started having the guest they expected, Gina worked with Avyanna and Bavanda so the hall was ready and Baron awaited all the Young princes. Nancy was present with Vanessa and the other of their mutual friends who included Danielle and her all filled the atmosphere with joy and memories, they talked about past glory and how far the kingdoms had enjoyed peace and serenity. Nancy could not stop thinking about how much she had gain in success and power, she was able to fix Vanessa and Avyanna’s case, at least they can have a honest conversation without Vanessa thinking of how Avyanna would be killed or destroyed.
It was already a week after the arrival of guests in Lycan territory, Baron made sure all that came into the territory was treated with high and royal standards. The week rolled by with several fight contest amongst the young princes, amongst the creatures that visited the kingdom, amongst Bavanda and the prince, and amongst Bavanda and the other creatures that visited the kingdom. She went in and out of the fight without being injured, and just as her father promised she learnt different skills from the demons, the sirens, the vampires and the other creatures. Bavanda was impressed with the outcome of the several challenges she found it to be very impactful. So far so good all creatures were satisfied with her fighting and weapon handling abilities but yet it was two days to the outing of the full moon. She was sure the creatures would want to see her in her wolf abilities but she could not transform, she as tried so many times with her mother, her father and even the guards. Bavanda sat on the floor in the garden of rose there she wondered how the day of the full moon would be. As she gazed into the bright sky she could hear someone’s footstep Avyanna was not going to wait and confirm who it was, she was ready to fight and kill. Vanessa entered the garden only to find her positioned to fight.
“You have the energy of your mother; you guys are always ready.” Vanessa giggled.
“Yes, aunty Vanessa, Good evening ma. You know we are always ready to win”. Bavanda replied as she sat down back.
“Well relax your muscles I am not here to fight or win a fight”. Vanessa said as she sat down close to Bavanda.
“It is obvious you are not here for war, so what are you here for?”. Bavanda paid attention to her facial expressions, her mother had taught her to read people from how they expressed themselves and the action that accompanied the words they said, she always told her talk was cheap so she needed to know who sold it.
“Bavanda your temper is hot. Seems the history your mother and I shared has not still been disclosed to you”. Vanessa replied.
“Everything I need to know I have been shown and I believe the one’s I do not know, I would still get to meet them”. Bavanda retorted.
“I do not intend to stay long with you. I just wanted to spend a little time with you, to be sure you can defend yourself and I can see your family did a great job. I would return back to meet with the other’s. My only advice to you is to fall in love rightly”. Vanessa stood up to leave when Bavanda drew back her attention.
“How would you know he is the right person aunty Vanessa”.
“Well I would not be able to explain in total but I know the connection between the two of you will feel as though it existed for decades”.
Vanessa replied Bavanda and left her to meditate on her last words. If someone was to see Vanessa talk to Bavanda alone they would panic but if only they knew that Vanessa had the type of love she had for her late brother Ericson she could lay down her life for Bavanda. This love only grew stronger and Nancy was excited to know that she loved Bavanda. Bavanda was lost in thoughts she did not realize that a creature sat near her, when she realized she wanted to hit him but he held her hands tight and locked his hands on her waist.
“It must not be war it could be romance.” the young creature said.
“I do not know you”? Bavanda found her voice grew weak
“I am one of the responsible lovers that would wife you for eternity”
“You should not be here.”
“I would live but please reduce the way you think I would not want to get married to you without your flesh intact.” The creature joked.
“Please leave.” Bavanda said to him. She released herself from his hands and watched him stand up. He was a tall, dark, broad shoulders creature. Bavanda felt mesmerized by his handsomeness.
“You are so confident that I am your wife”
“You and I can feel the heartbeat of each other. I would leave you to prepare for the day of our first dance under the full moon” The creature looked at Bavanda till she was quivered by his words.
“Are you not the one who won almost all the fight “
“Yes, and I would win everything to have you” The creature walked away.
Bavanda realized she did not know his name and for a while she had not felt so shy. Nevertheless, she was not going to allow his words sweep her off her feet. Bavanda retired to her room she had Rania tell her what she expected in the ball and how it was. They discussed till midnight and Rania slept off. Bavanda was not scared of any other thing, other than her wolf. She wished she would be able to communicate with her wolf just as her mother did.
Avyanna sat down at the high table with all the head of the kingdoms including Nancy and Danielle. They discussed about the good things that had happened to their kingdoms. Nancy apparently got a new fuck boy, she explained how his dick was her antidepressants tool and how ready she was for them to get married, but the only situation would be her ruling, commanding and controlling everything and she did not want that, she wanted a man who could stand and be a man just like late Thomas was.
The ceremony began. Speech for the reason of the gathering was presented by Vincent. There after the last man standing was asked to dance with Bavanda while they watched. Bavanda was surprised to see Loco be the winner, well he was sure he would win and to be fair she liked him. The two danced and discussed, they shared personal information about their selves. For the first time in a long time Baron sensed a negative energy radiate in the atmosphere, he asked his wife if she felt the same way he felt. Avyanna could relate with what Baron said, but where was it coming from. The security was at the extreme, no one entered without being searched so who could it be. Rania suggested they allowed Avyanna go upstairs to rest, but she refused. She requested to dance directly under the moon and interested could join them watch her, Baron told warriors to be on standby for safety.
Loco held Bavanda’s waist as they danced, he asked if he could kiss her and she accepted. Loco bit the lips of Bavanda, immediately she froze. The thunder began to clap and heavy rain started. Baron ordered his guards to get Loco and imprison him, but before they could come close Bavanda was on the floor, she vibrated and vomited foam. Vanessa ran down to carry her so did Rania and the others. Avyanna was held down by the shock of what just happened.
“You all can not remember me, such fools. Theseus would not leave this kingdom without someone to bring Havoc to your doorstep, oh how waited for this day, twenty years ago and today I have made my father proud, Theseus Brute would be happy for me finally “. Loco struggled in the chains he was bounded with, he transformed and grew thick black tail, green eyes and scanty hair on his shoulders.
Baron threw several punches at Loco, he asked what he had done to his daughter. Loco continued to laugh and Avyanna had the urge to slit his throat open, but Nancy advised they kept him the dungeon in Lycan territory and find out if he is alone or not
Bavanda laid down cooled for one hour even after Loco was thrown inside the dungeon. Avyanna could now remember where she felt the negative energy she felt. It was on her wedding ceremony when someone handed a gift with Brutes name on it, then from the young child who supported Theseus and had no identity. Avyanna continued to wish her daughter would live, she told them to leave her with the body. Baron knew she would pay no attention to whatever anyone had to say. Baron was devastated he was not sure what he would do, he wept soberly for about three hours. They both slept off and woke up the next morning besides a big wolf, it was the biggest wolf they had seen in decades. Avyanna was surprised, she could not tell it was her daughter until she transformed. Bavanda looked weak so Rania took her to her room, just immediately Avyanna was force to give birth, her water broke and Alexander was on his way.
Avyanna gave birth to a boy but yet her mind was at home. Vanessa stayed with her while the others prepared all she wanted.
Later in the evening Baron called for a meeting he was grateful that Bavanda had undergone the worst part of recovery and his wife was safe. He told them he was discovered with the arrival of Loco, and if Loco could harm his daughter in the public then they needed to double up.
“I deeply apologize for what happened and I understand it has been inconvenient for us all, but if I do not say this then I am not a leader. We need to be prepared for what is coming, Loco might just be one of what is yet to come, we have been too relaxed and comfortable due to the fact that for the past twenty years we have enjoyed peace and serenity, but right now we need to raise up and be on alert. It was Bavanda, who knows whom next it would fall on.”
Baron was certain a deep darkness was about to invade the kingdom, and all he wished for was that when the darkness arrived they would have enough light to defeat it.
