CHAPTER 90
CHAPTER NINETY
Three days passed since Rania and Gina last saw their brother.
She was not sure of what was happening, but she knew her brother would never leave the territory without leaving them with a word. They worried about what might have happened, it was never in the diligent alpha’s nature, to despise his people, or leave them unprotected without any word.
Rania and Gina did not like the feel of it. They calculated every place they figured he might be. They asked the neighboring packs but they received no word about his whereabouts.
Rania panicked. She worried he might be dead, or currently in a battle, struggling for his life without his pack. Gina pacified the young Rania with her words. She told Rania to worry less, she told her to be positive, besides they hadn’t heard of a war that had happened in the district.
“If there was a war, best believe we would have heard it by now from the commanders or Steve. They would have sent out forums and letters.” Gina said.
“It’s my fault. I wouldn’t talk to him.” Rania sobbed.
“It’s not your fault Rania. Remember nothing can kill our brother that easily.” Gina smiled to make Rania feel calmer, but Gina couldn’t also help being worried.
"I was just missing Avyanna and I took it out on him." Rania cried out.
"That would not be the reason why he left. Brother is too matured for that and I am sure he is okay wherever he is." Gina tried to assure her sister.
Earlier she had called Avyanna, but she too had been unresponsive. That made her worry but she couldn’t show that to Rania.
“What would Baron do? How would he react to this situation without putting pressure on the pack?” Gina breathed to Rania.

The Lycan territory was not the only pack missing a leader. As the Lycan territory worried over their leader, Baron, so did Avyanna’s people worry.
Jonathan, Will, Nathan and Vincent searched all through the land of Wales, in search of their leader.
“Avyanna never would leave the kingdom without notifying us.” Nathan worried
“Even if she did not want to make a public announcement about her leaving the kingdom, she would have said a word to you Jonathan.” Will commented.
“Something is not just right, and I can feel it, we need to send message to the Lycan territory, probably she went to see the Lycan Alpha, Baron.” Vincent chipped in.
“Nonsense! We all know Avyanna, she would not go back to the Lycan territory, except…” Nathan paused as he perceived the scent and evidence of Baron’s presence in Avyanna’s room. “Only if he looked for her. Smell this Jonathan, doesn’t it smell familiar to you?” Nathan inquired sniffing the same spot that Baron had sniffed to trace Avyanna’s smell.
“Yes, it does. But how possible is it? None of us saw him enter the kingdom, or left even, or could he have snuck in and out without our knowledge?” Will asked.
Jonathan was not pleased because, if Baron snuck in and out of the kingdom without being seen, then himself and the entire pack had to go for physical training. “How could the whole kingdom not notice one man? Secondly, if Baron had come here it must have been for a reason.” Jonathan for sure knew Baron would never hurt Avyanna.
“We need to go and find out more about his coming here, we need to go to Lycan territory.” Jonathan explained.
“This is absurd, Avyanna is not around to give orders. Remember how we left the kingdom Jonathan?” Will lamented.
“Yes. I know and I deeply understand you my brother, but if we are to find out what is happening then we must go to where it is happening. Arrange your bags, we leave in ten minutes.” Jonathan knew that whatever they were going to find out would not be something they would want to hear. Nonetheless, they still left to find out what had happened to their precious Luna.

Gina and Rania, ruled out everything they knew their brother would never do, and picked out the options, on how he would have handled the matter.
They tried every one of it, but it had no positive results. The girls did not want to bother the pack, so they handled everything on their own.
They kept thinking of where Baron would have gone. Rania thought he had gone to kingdom Wales, but she had no proof and he would not sneak to see the woman he loved shamelessly.
“What could be the problem?” Rania suggested they went into his inner chamber, but Gina did not like the idea. She felt he would be furious if he found out, but Rania believed that if they did not do so they would not know what to do about the situation.
Gina consented and they went in. Rania sniffed the room and she could feel his presence strongly.
They left the chambers after a fruitless search, then they went out to the courtyard when Mako came to tell them that wolves from the Wales had come to look for Baron.
“What for?” They wondered as they walked to meet Jonathan and his company.
“Where is your brother, Baron?” Jonathan inquired.
“And who is asking?” Gina questioned
“We did not come here to argue or cause trouble.” Will retorted.
“Then dive into the explanation part. Wolverine’s got plans.” Gina added.
“We perceived that your brother must have been in Avyanna’s room a few days ago, and Avyanna, has not been in the kingdom for two days, today will make it the third day.” Johnathan summarized.
The information made the girls freeze.
“Baron has been missing too.” Rania explained.
“Wait, that means he might have come to our Kingdom so he could track Avyanna’s smell?“
It did not sound good to the parties. Whatever was happening was a mystery to them.
They all stood perplexed, “Could it be that Avyanna is in trouble?”
“I hope a war is not about to happen.” They questioned.
Gina suggested they talked about it inside the courtyard. She invited them in and they talked over a nervous meal.
They all sat and talked about what to do. They had to be careful so word about the missing leaders would not spread out to other packs. It will make them open and vulnerable, like the old myth said; One wisdom applied would save you from a thousand battles to fight.
It was not the time for them to war, it was time for them to protect their pack and wait for the return of their leaders.
They all agreed that it was safe to keep mute and calm, until the arrival of their leaders. Rania and Gina appreciated the men from the Wales kingdom for their ability to reach out.
It made them aware and able to decipher the situation on ground. Jonathan and the other men returned to their kingdom.
Then, Nathan suggested that the pack prepared, just in case the leaders returned with an appendage of war.
