CHAPTER 32
CHAPTER THIRTY TWO
The Lycan territory was undoubtedly smaller than the pack house, but way more beautiful and organized.
The lawns were mowed to look like a large green carpet, the flowers in the garden were of every variety.
The atmosphere would have been perfectly serene, if not for the clanging of claws and howling of the wolves that trained.
The Lycans were high class people that were rich. They had all the resources that they needed in their territory. Their scientific innovations outmatched the ones at the pack house. Avyanna was indeed wowed at the sights she saw.
She could not stop admiring the beautiful view. The Lycans indeed, were exceptional in everything.
"The Lycans are so organized." Avyanna confessed.
"Do you like what you are seeing?"
"Liking is an understatement, because I love it."
"I'm glad you do." The Lycan Alpha was excited that Avyanna was pleased with the Lycan territory because deep down, he was aware of the fact that this could be her home soon.
Avyanna was quite uncomfortable with the way the Lycans were staring at her even though she was used to getting attention from a crowd of people, these ones were of a different breed and she felt uneasy about it. She didn't want any trouble, all she had in mind was to finish her business with the Lycan Alpha.
Baron noticed how the Luna was tensed and he placed his hands on her shoulder to soothe her nerves, "you don't need to worry about all of that, once they get to know you, they will fall in love with you and respect you." Baron ordered them through his mind to focus on what they were doing and they all heeded to his instructions.
"I just hope so. Besides I'm only staying here for a week." She relaxed her nerves.
"It could be more depending on how much work we have accomplished." Baron said but it was more like a question to her. He wanted to know how long she would stay.
"You know my people need me, so I can't just come here and relax like I don't have a pack to take care of." Avyanna did answer his pseudo-question with another statement.
"Greetings your Majesty and the Luna of Wales. It's a pleasure to see you again." Steve walked towards them as he got the Luna's belongings from Baron.
"How have you been Beta Steve?" Avyanna asked politely.
"I have been good." Steve turned his attention to Baron and he noticed that they didn't come out of the car Baron took with him."Where's the car? How come you're not driving?" He asked hurriedly.
"Easy with the questions Steve, we just got here so give us some break. By the way, we had an accident on our way here." Baron said with a proud smile. It was going to take more than an accident to kill him.
"What the hell? Are you hurt? You see that's why I wanted to drive in the first place, it was my warriors instincts that were kicking." Steve sounded so worried.
"Warriors instinct my foot! As you can see, we are perfectly fine." Baron said with a dark smile.
"So, how did you reach here?" Steve inquired.
"Well, I used a shorter route." He said stiffly, then Steve knew.
"Don't tell me you trekked with the Luna of Wales down here?"
"Yes I did and that is why you need to stop asking me questions because we both need rest from our journey. So please lead the way, thank you." With Baron's statement, Steve understood that he wasn't supposed to utter any word again as he led the Lycan Alpha and Avyanna to the house.
The trio walked not for long until they areived at the glorious mansion at the center of the territory. The mansion was painted a shiny black and every other adornment on it was black, differing it from other houses and making it stand out. Avyanna smiled at the creativity and house style. It was a two-storey architectural beauty that had a flat rooftop and had the same design as a bank would.
"A little black color couldn't hurt anybody." She smiled in approval.
Baron opened the door leading Avyanna into the house. He offered her a chair to sit on as he ordered one of his maids to bring water for Avyanna. "You should feel free and relax, I'll take you to your room later."
Avyanna's heart skipped at the mention of the word room, she wasn't ready for any embarrassing moment between two of them anymore. She couldn't control herself around him and she wanted to stay far away as possible till she is done with what she came here for.
"Oh my goodness, you must be Luna Avyanna Windsor of Wales, you look so pretty in person." Baron's seven year old sister ran to hug Avyanna.
"Woah! Woah! Hy there..." Avyanna didn't know what to say to this bold little girl whom she knew not.
Rania seemed so spirited. She had everything she wore arranged perfectly and detailed. From her well arranged hair to her properlu tied shoes. Rania had a stare that scared people away ever since she way a baby, but Avyanna just found the stare to be funny.
"Rania! Where are your manners?" Baron scolded his little sister.
"Don't yell at her, I think I like her already." Avyanna said as she smiled at Rania.
"Apologies brother, I'm so excited to see her." Rania chortled gleefully still facing Avyanna.
"What's your name little girl?"
"My name is Rania Fergus."
"Rania, that's a beautiful name indeed. I guess I don't need to tell you my name because it seems you know a lot about me already.
"Yes I know a lot and I have been hearing wonderful stories about you. I can't wait to tell my friends that I spoke face to face with the Luna of Wales." Rania smiled.
"Rania, Avyanna is tired, we walked down here because the car had an accident." Baron gave Rania a stern look.
"Accident? I'm so sorry."
"Yeah but the Luna needs to rest before she begins her interview session with you." Baron said mockingly.
"My favorite bitch is here!" Gina screamed.
"Gina it is so nice to meet you." Avyanna smiled as she stood up to hug Gina.
"How come I wasn't aware that you were coming here today?" Gina inquired.
"Because I was preventing this! from happening." Baron intervened.
"But she is my friend and I deserve to know." Gina retorted.
"Enough of all of this, I have just been standing here watching the drama. I think both of you heard the King, Avyanna needs rest." Steve concluded.
"Fine I'll escort her to her room." Gina said.
"I'll follow you as well." Rania ran to her sister's side before Baron could protest.
"Alright both of you. Just make sure she is treated well." Baron said. He knew it would be a lost argument if he wanted to counter his sisters but he really wanted to be the one to escort the Luna to her room.
Gina got Avyanna's belongings from Steve as she led the way for Avyanna and Rania to follow suit.
As Baron wanted to ensure that his sisters took the Luna to the room meant for her, Steve held him back. The look on his eyes, could tell that something was wrong.
