CHAPTER 79

CHAPTER SEVENTY- NINE
The lovers were not expecting such a piece of hostile news, especially not so soon.
This got Avyanna very upset, she felt a searing anger at once, and she was not excited about the news at all. She felt pity for herself and Baron, because of the pain that they were about to feel. She also felt guilty somewhere in her heart, and she blamed herself silently for being the reason for the entire trauma that Baron felt; he had shown nothing but benevolence towards her, and she sincerely had no way to contain the grief she felt.
“Why did I not suspect that something would happen, why Rania? Who would have such time to haunt, even if they want to haunt, Rania?" Avyanna asked herself.
“A letter was left behind, Avyanna, it had an inscription on it that says; I have Rania, send this to Avyanna, here, take a look at the letter.“ Mako said.
Avyanna snatched the letter from Mako, and later on, she completely went mute, before asking Mako to leave.
"This bitch!" Avyanna spat, then she turned to Baron who was holding back his raging anger.
She imperatively told Baron that she knew how to fix the situation, and she told him that she would meet with someone who could expand on the reason why and what was happening.
Avyanna was exhausted from Nancy and her tricks. Every single time she took in oxygen at every given minute, Nancy was always plotting something for her. But this time she was not going to waste time scheming any plans on if to go or not to go. The Omega had taken advantage of Avyanna's late ex-husband, his sister, and even the Pack, but somewhere in between the lines, she still seemed to appear unsatisfied. Avy felt Nancy was impaired by something she knew nothing about. She was either going to talk or fight some sense into her because it appeared to Avyanna, those were her only option. Nancy was a galvanizer, she was obviously not ready to give Avyanna peace, even if she pleaded for it.
Baron, on the other hand, stood still staring at Avyanna, he was not lusting at her at the moment, but he was lost in thoughts. What would have happened to his dear sister, who was she with at the moment? The kingdom was already soaked in chaos, he wouldn’t want her life to go for it.
After much thinking, he realized Avyanna was still seated in the same posture, for so long. “Avyanna what are you thinking about? You look worried, who wrote the letter? let me see it! Do they have Rania?”
Avyanna looked into his eyes, she could feel how torn apart he was. She immediately drew him to herself, gripped him tight, and locked her lips in his, she went for the back of his head, rubbed it gently, and finally released him pressing a subtle kiss on his forehead.
“Everything will be fine in due time, we just need to come up with a good plan, Nancy is with Rania, and she has requested my presence. Just my presence and no one else's.”
“Alone? Nancy is a very manipulative creature Avyanna, I know you want to get my sister back, but I believe moving alone will be very dangerous. This is my sister we are talking about!” Baron roared as he thought of the horrible things Nancy could be doing to Rania. "This is the same bitch that wreaked havoc on your kingdom, yes?" Baron was already agitating to move and rip her into pieces.
"Baron, please can you calm down a little bit? I am really sorry about Rania and it's all my fault that terrible things are happening to those that are close to me. I need to face this alone before they hurt another person. Avyanna pleaded as Baron roamed around the room. “Don’t you trust me? don’t you believe I can handle myself alone?” Getting no answer back from the Lycan Alpha, she asked, "Do you trust me to get Rania back to you safely?"
“I do, but if under my watch Rania was gone, then what would happen when I am nowhere near you? I know you can take care of yourself, but I would not dare let you out of my sight, we will go together.“ Baron made sense to her, and she could feel it in her guts. She later let him accompany her because the old saying; two strong wolves are always better than one, had not still gone out of trend. So, for Baron to satisfy his alpha desires, and for her protection, they would be going together.
Baron and Avyanna went out to search for the very discreet location that was printed on the letter from Nancy. Baron could smell the stench of evil and wickedness as they drew closer.
"We need to have a plan, we cannot just run in like that. She might harm Rania if she sees that I didn't come alone."
"She wouldn't dare." Baron transformed his left paw into his wolf's own.
Baron stood close to Avyanna with a ready stance, he was always prepared even though he thought that he was dealing with a lowly Omega. He didn’t want anything from the ordinary happening so fast, without him being able to save her and himself. He even suspected an ambush.
Baron and Avyanna stood in the middle of a dark forest, almost everything in the forest seemed to be alive.
The trees clapped their branches rhythmically, the grasses ran from one end to another, and the wind gossiped with the particles on the earth. Some of the stones had the shapes of ancient creatures. Coming into this part of the woods seemed to be as if they had time walked into a different space and time entirely.
Baron and Avyanna continued to decipher the place in which they stood.
Avyanna for a while thought to herself how she had made Nancy so pertinent in her life, probably because Nancy wore the badge of sorrow and vengeance on her wrist, with her name as the inscription on it. But all that was going to end very soon, Avyanna was going to obliterate Nancy from her life, her memory, and the earth. How one person causes so much havoc in her life, was not the way her parents trained her, she felt she had become too inferior for certain reasons, but she was not going to remain tongue-tied about the situation. It was time she proved herself and got free from the constant routine of defending herself from Nancy and her cohort. But If only Avyanna knew that Nancy was not the leader of the plot. Nevertheless, Baron held Avyanna’s hand intentionally. Avyanna could feel his care shielding her, but was Baron's care enough to protect not just Avyanna, but also himself from what was coming? Would their love be able to tarry?
Such questions flooded the minds of the duo.
"I think we are here," Avyanna said, as Katie emerged at just her right paw, then her claws were laid bare.
They were not expecting the type of battle they would be facing yet, but something in them told them that they could pass through any challenge together. But how strong was the bond to fight on their behalf? How strong was their bond to subdue defeat? Obviously, they had nothing out of the ordinary to expect, so they waited for what was coming to encapsulate them still.
"I will rip that bitch's head off," Baron growled as he scanned the woods for any sign of the Omega.
"I don't get it, the letter gave this spot as the exact coordinates," Avyanna said, also being weary of any sign of Avyanna.
"You trust her to not sabotage you?" Baron asked.
"Oh hell no. I know this is a sabotage alright, but thank the moon goddess that I have my wolf now." Avyanna snarled.
"Great, nothing can sabotage us now."
Little did the duo know that what Nancy had in store for them was worse than any sabotage that they could think of.
"Well, well, well..." It was the maniacal voice of the evil tribrid calling out from the shadows of the woods.
