CHAPTER 98
CHAPTER NINETY EIGHT
NetherRealm had a breath of fresh air which could not be overemphasized.
The Lycans and Werewolves would gather at night to merry. They could now enter into each other’s pack freely without the fear of being killed. The war had not just given them success over Theseus, but it had united them too.
His legend was even taught in schools.
“The Dark Master thought he was the world strongest creature. He thought he could determine the life of every creature but he was wrong. He did not for once reason that he could be killed or betrayed. He glorified himself with dark powers and thought he could manipulate the mind of all creatures. Yes, he did succeed to manipulate the minds of a few creatures but when the time came for his fall. He did not know what hit him, well he did; they were rocks.” The young werewolves who were being schooled giggled. Margo, the tutor who taught the younger wolves, continued, “He did not expect that creatures who had no dark energy could defeat him. The mistake he made was to keep Alpha Thomas, Vampire Nancy, Alpha Avyanna and her soul mate, Alpha Baron in a cage. We are in fact grateful he did. He did not know that the nature and the queen of the moon had everything planned out” Margo explained.
“Does it mean that everything that happened was all the fault of the great Theseus Brute?” A young wolf asked.
“Yes, my child. He exploited everything he saw, he was brutal and had no sympathy. Plus, he was never great, he only glorified himself “Margo narrated.
“So, if he only glorified himself, then why was his dread all over the realms? Was he feared for no reason? why was nobody ready to talk about how evil he was when was alive?” Margo could not understand why the child was so interested in Theseus. Nevertheless, she explained that it was because of how brutal Theseus was.
“So, you are telling us that the evil Brute united the Realms?” The Young creature mocked Margo.
“Well listen child, we all suffered a great loss from the dark master. His dread and wickedness made creatures mute. No creature was ready to lose their lives over nothing. I am not sure you know what it means to drink from sorrow and pain. It was only Avyanna and her friends that believed Theseus Brute could die. They were the only brave ones who saw the possibility of ending the tyranny of Theseus and his cruelty when no other creature saw it. None other could dare think of it. In the end we are very happy that he died. For centuries, the kingdoms did not know peace and tranquility as it does now. Theseus was always manipulating wars and the people did not know.” Margo raised her voice a bit higher.
His aim was to shut the young creature who asked the question and he succeeded, because the young creature asked no other question.
“Any other questions?” Margo asked and got no reply.
“Okay then.” Before the teaching concluded, Margo could not find the young lad who had asked her a question. He wanted to talk to him about the class, but he was gone into thin air.

Nancy had a lot to put in place, but first she had to cope with the way things were.
She could not be that brutal Nancy that manipulated and mesmerized her way through everything. She had to change a whole lot of attitudes, especially now that she was the ruled the Ash Band.
The pack had agreed that there was no other creature fit to be their ruler. They pleaded with Nancy to take up the responsibility of being their leader. This was the first time in the life of Nancy that she got something without a struggle or the use of her abilities.
Nancy still had the stolen deed of Wales and Avyanna did not even realize that it was missing yet. Nancy had stolen it to give Theseus. She wanted to prove herself to Theseus Brute; she wanted his approval.
She wanted him to see that she could be independent as his personal disciple. If only she knew that the devil was not a creature that cared for other creatures.
Nancy learnt how to build trust. She gave her undying service to see that the Ash Band grew in strength and courage. The creatures loved Nancy and they respected her every wish. This was not a desire Nancy thought would happen in this century. She always had plans for Kingdom Wales but she never for once thought she would lead Thomas’s gang.
Thomas never joked with the wellbeing of his people and Nancy knew that. She knew he could kill for his people. He once destroyed a kingdom of seventy-seven thousand creatures all because one of the wolves molested a female wolf in his pack.
Nancy felt Thomas’s presence each day. She knew she had a spot in her heart for Thomas, she would forever remember his sacrifice for her, his kingdom and the whole of NetherRealm.
Nancy sent letters to all kingdoms asking them to convene in her kingdom so they would pay their respect to the dead Alpha Thomas in his kingdom for the last time. She had made a statue of him in the heart of Ash Band and she would reveal it on the burial day.
***
“I welcome you all for the ability to be present in this memorial as you all know I would not want to prolong the matter. As we all know, Thomas was not just a warrior, he was a friend to a few of us here, he did not live his life as a righteous Alpha, although we know it was not solely on him, for he was also a victim of the late Theseus Brute.” Nancy was happy to attach the ‘late’ to Theseus Brute’s name. Even if she was not totally liberated from grief, the death of Theseus made it easy for her to move on.
“Thomas although did not die without rewriting history, he died a great wolf, he died leaving a scar on the face of Theseus, his death, stood as a cardinal for us to launch our attack, which enabled us win the great battle. With this said I beseech you, to give him a moment of silence, and wish his soul rest.” Nancy moved backwards. She placed both of her hands on her chest and meditated.
Everyone present at the ceremony stood solemnly. They remembered in their hearts the sacrifice of Thomas and wished him a greater beyond. After that, Nancy ordered that the statue be revealed.
Thomas bronze image stood bold and tall. The statue had in his form as a wolf and a man.
Nancy had inner peace. She knew that she had just one thing left for her to do.
Vanessa on the other hand could not completely forgive Avyanna, even though Nancy spoke to her to let go and live free.
Vanessa lived with Nancy in her kingdom. She was the only person her innocent heart could trust and that was not a bad idea, as it would have been, before this present day. Nancy tried to build trust and character also promising herself to protect Vanessa, no matter what happened.
“Good job you are doing here Nancy. Thomas would be proud.” Baron teased Nancy, after the statue had been revealed.
They now sat at the dinner table, at least to share a meal, before all creatures, would depart.
“Thank you, Baron. I would not have been able to do so without the help of them creatures in this land. They received me with open arms. They taught me the ways of the wolf and enlightened me more on unity.” Nancy replied mildly.
“Well that’s true. What can we do without a few good people?” Avyanna said as she looked at Baron and his sisters.
“Gina, I have heard something about you and one of Avyanna’s men, do you mind to share?” Danielle said, as she looked at Gina with suspicious a smile on her face.
“What have you heard, Ma Danielle?” Gina chuckled. Baron rose his eyebrows as he anticipated Gina’s answer.
“Well, we have eyes to know that the one who you fought with, side by side has turned out to be your lover.” Daniella said as she smiled
“Doesn’t the great old myth say, that a man who fights in a battle with you, should win the battle in your room.” Gina laughed. She got up from the table and asked that Rania accompany her into the garden.”
“So strange, I was not aware.” Baron said in surprise. He did not believe Gina’s reply.
“Not everything deserves an answer. Let your action speak louder. I think that’s what Rania just did.” Avyanna said as she laughed along with the others.
The creatures dined and merried together. They enjoyed the food that Nancy had offered them. Danielle reminded Avyanna of her promise about a drink.
“It seems Nancy has paid for your promise, Avyanna.” Danielle said as she drank from her glass.
“I completely agree with you.” Avyanna smiled. Of course she had not forgotten about the promise but still, she had been all wrapped with Baron.
“I am happy I could be of help.” Nancy responded.
Nancy had always imagined what it would feel like; what it would look like if she had a family. She looked at all the creatures seated with her. Her heart gladdened that she belonged somewhere and she had everything she once wished for.
Vincent walked up to where Avyanna and the rest sat down. He whispered into Avyanna’s ear. He asked her if she knew where Gina went and he also said he had searched for her in the courtyard but could not find her.
Avyanna smiled and pointed to the garden, it was a confirmation of what they had discussed. Baron was not entirely comfortable with what he saw, he asked Avyanna what the creature wanted with his sister. Avyanna smiled at how nervous he looked, she told him that Vincent was of good, and not of evil, and she told him that he should not be afraid for she knew Vincent.
The creatures thanked Nancy for being hospitable. They wished her a good and a long reign with the Ash Band. It was time for Avyanna to leave, she was going to live with Baron and his pack so they would all be together in Lycan territory. Nancy apologized to Avyanna and all her pack. She told them that he wanted a good reign with them as friends and not foes.
Nancy offered the stolen deed back to Avyanna. She felt in her heart that giving the deed would create proper amendment.
Avyanna told Nancy to call on her whenever she needed to talk, or she wanted company. Baron seemed to appear pleased with the Tribrid’s action. He also swore alliance to her and her pack.
Vincent returned to the dining table with Gina. They talked and smiled about something only them knew about, Love intoxicated the Lycan and the Wolf and no one could explain how it started. No one could explain, not even Raina, her sister. They all journeyed back to the Lycan territory.
Baron held the hands of Avyanna. He looked at Gina and hoped she could feel what he felt for Avyanna for Vincent.
Their path glittered as the moon casted its light upon the waters.
