CHAPTER 55

CHAPTER FIFTY FIVE
The pack house was never the same with Ericson gone.
The following night was a chill one. The dust had settled and the turmoil was just a tensed peace that was just a howl away from resurfacing. The pack house was engulfed in a very delicate tranquil that would be ruined if a noise was made.
It was not a full moon so Nancy found it very easy to sneak out of the kingdom and embark on a journey to uncertainty.
She got herself a very large cloak that made it impossible for the guards to know that it was her; that is if they saw her, becasue she snuck away.
She made her way through the deep dark woods, making her way to Uncertainty; a realm that was invisible to the regular eye and run by a very malevolent being. Some called this being; The Dark Master, some called him; The King of Persia, and one even called him; The Devil. It never mattered what he was called, whenever he was mentioned, so was fear, terror, and all things dreadful.
Nancy’s heart pounded as she made her journey, because she was not sure she had pleased him enough. She couldn’t help but reminisce how she began to work for such a malevolent force.
You see, Nancy was but a child when her little town was invaded by Hunters. These hunters were collectors of body parts of dark creatures, and they were feared by many little settlements that had little or no protection.
Nancy then swore to return the favor to the set of hunters that haunted her nightmares. She dedicated the next eight years of her life searching tirelessly for the Hunters and then she found out that the Hunters were a family, and to carry out her revenge, she needed to belong to a pack so she decided to align with the creatures; Werewolves.
Relentless Nancy swayed her way into the Gufronde pack where she served Brad Fronde, an alpha that only wanted to have carnal knowledge of her every time that she walked past him looking fierce and in a skimpy short. The Alpha of the Gufronde pack, Brad Fronde, neither cared for her nor cared about her mission, the only thing he did best was set her up into more danger.
She endured the Alpha’s stinky breath whenever he penetrated her, and often times, whenever she was forced to genuflect before him seductively and gulp on his shaft. She did it unapologetically because all that mattered to her was revenge.
As the months passed by, opportunity finally presented itself. Nancy discovered that the Hunters family had a little daughter that went to a highschool that was accessible to her.
With the help of the Gufronde pack, she smuggled her way into the school and befriended the daughter, Matilda, to get access to the family. Her plan was going great and smooth, until … until that fateful night.
Nancy could not forget that night that changed it all.
“Werewolves?” Matilda had screamed at Nancy.
“Hush, keep your voice down,”Nancy looked around and into the dim brightness of the evening, one more time, to ensure that no one eavesdropped on the conversation, “yes, Werewolves, and Vampires”, She whispered.
“That is not true, the news said it is the mountain lions that are causing the deaths” Matilda said as she whimpered in fear. Matilda could tell that Nancy was right, no matter how absurd she sounded.
“So, how do you explain this?” Nancy held up her phone to Matilda’s face to show her the picture of a silhouetted human wolf; a picture of Brad that Nancy took the previous night.
“No, that is a lie. I want to go home”, the look on Matilda’s face was proof that she believed all that Nancy told her. She walked paces away from Nancy and turned around one last time to say, “Goodnight Nancy”.
“… shh. Did you hear that?” Nancy heard the leaves in the bush behind her rustle. Matilda had become so paranoid after Nancy disclosed the dark secrets that lurked in the corners of the town; Hay Cove town.
“I do not like this Nancy.” Matilda hurried away from Nancy, away from the school gate, and into the quiet road that was graced with street-lights; where she felt safer.
Nancy and Matilda had been friends for a month. They always hung out with each other after the school dismissed to discuss and share good times together, but it all ended that night.
“Goodnight Matilda.” Nancy screamed so Matilda could hear her. Her voice echoed into the night and it disrupted the silence in the school.
The evening grew darker in a few minutes and the bluish-purple clouds that roofed Hay Cove dispersed to revealed the full moon that prowled behind them.
The silence thickened making it easier for Nancy to hear the leaves that rustled behind her, again.
“Who is there?” She asked without turning back to see whatever creature hid in the shadows, “Reveal yourself!” She said when she was replied with silence.
She then walked away with a smirk on her face knowing that whatever it was could not harm her.
“Nancy!” a voice thundered from the darkness.
It was the voice of Brad Fronde, the Alpha of the Gufronde pack, “Yes, Alpha?” Nancy replied, still not looking back.
“When will you do it?” She sensed Brad emerge from the bushes.
“Tonight”, She fumed as she replied.
“You better. A whole pack is backing you on this journey.”, Brad said before he disappeared into the night, leaving a thick wisp of smoke behind.
The clouds parted further and left the moon suspended on the sky. It was bigger than it was on the last full moon.
It was a full moon in October, the month that the werewolves were granted permission by higher powers to wreak havoc on wherever they wanted to.
That October, Nancy chose Hay cove town because she needed to enact revenge on a certain family. And the Gufronde pack was going to help her, at least they were supposed to.
Matilda must have heard howls because she hastened her slow steps into a sprint as she walked on the lonely road to his house.
Nancy blended into the night time before she began the chase. She whoosed towards the school’s gate and toward the street that Matilda plied.
They were meters away but Nancy caught up to her in no time and quickly transformed into her true form. She overpowered Matilda and pinned her down. Nancy then looked down on Matilda and Matilda looked back at Nancy in disbelief and disgust. Nancy understood Matilda’s fear; her best friend sat unclothed on top of her.
“Nancy? What… what are you doing?” she whimpered as she sobbed. Nancy peered into her eyes and saw fear, pain, anger, and hatred.
“What I have always wanted to do” Nancy growled as her teeth sharpened, her ears elongated, and her eyes turned into a thick black..
“What are you?” Matilda cried out her last words.
“A monster!” Nancy roared gruffly before she sank her fingers into her throat and ripped the useful parts of her neck out. Nancy dug again into his neck and ate at it again. Nancy kept at it, continuing the ritual until Matilda was just bones, blood and intestines lying on the sidewalk.
Nancy yelled and cried, drenched in the blood of her best friend as a teardrop escaped her plain black eyes.
A hundred other wolves from the Gufronde pack howled back in response to her howls.
Brad appeared behind Nancy and walked slowly toward her.
“What have you done?” He asked.
“Revenge!” Nancy fumed, hiding the color of her eyes and transforming back to her human self before Brad got any closer.
“You were supposed to kill her father, not her!” Brad said.
“I will kill them all” Nancy said with anger coursing through her body.
“You have no idea what you have just done.” Brad sounded intense.
“What did I do?” Brad was one of the most fearless werewolves Nancy had ever met so when she detected the fear in his voice as he spoke, She paused and let her anger calm.
“You have incurred the wrath of the most dangerous hunter family on us” Brad was calm as he spoke, “You have brought hell to our doorstep."
She completely transformed into her human form and asked, “What do you mean?”
“I really hope you are strong enough to fight off what is coming your way."
“Our way." Nancy growled.
“No! your way. You are no longer a part of the Gufronde pack” Brad disappeared into the night.
Nancy stood under the October moon, confused, angry and scared.
Truly, she had no idea what she was in for. She fell down to the floor and started crying, before He approached.
“You poor thing.” Nancy heard a very deep voice that made the very earth beneath her to quake when it spoke.
“Who is there?’ She asked in fright.
“Your savior.” The voice replied. That night marked the beginning of Nancy working for the Dark master. She neither knew what he looked like or where he stayed, but he was always using her as his minion to do his dirty work.
Nancy was clueless, until the time he summoned her to Uncertainty. That was the first time she ever knew that such a place existed. She had heard myths about it but she thought that it was just myths.
When she was summoned, she still didn’t get to see what he looked like, but she met Alpha Thomas there.
Nancy navigated the woods with her heavy large cloak reminiscing the past before she arrived at her destination; an odd looking tree.
Beyond the realm that the regular eye could see lay another hidden by magic and the teardrop of a siren, and Nancy could see it. She searched around to see if any eyes in the dark woods watched her but there was none. She the took a step forward and snapped her fingers twice, then reality tore in half and opened up for Nancy to walk through.
Beyond the rip in time and space was that housed a demonic presence. Mere looking at the palace, you could tell that it wasn’t for the faint of heart.
It had towers that reached the skies and the clouds were a permanent gray color. The birds that paraded the skies were bats that shrieked ceaselessly. The statue of a gargoyle hung above one very tall tower. There were guards who never moved a muscle, and they covered themselves in thick iron armor; from the crown of their head to the soul of their feet. The lifelessness of the place was traumatizing.
“State your purpose.” A deep raspy voice emitted from the thick metal of armor at the gate between realms.
“I am here to see the Dark Master.” Nancy replied, almost staggering in fear at the menacing aura of the guard.
“Name.” It asked.
“Nancy.” She replied very quickly.
“What creature are you?” It asked again, almost like those were necessary questions that must be answered before one could enter.
“I am the last Tribrid of the Recutij Clan. I am a shapeshifter, a Siren, and a Vampire.”
‘You may enter.”
