Chapter 106 - Three months later

“What are you doing today my love?” Archon murmurs as he comes up behind Shakti and wraps her lovingly in his embrace.
“Well, we believe that Athena will be due any day now so Phoebe and I are going to go visit her while Helios is away to make sure that everything is ok. Aibelle will be there later this afternoon we are having a girl’s night so Bride and Hekate are coming as well so it should be a nice relaxing night” Shakti says as she looks up in the mirror and meets Archon’s eyes.
“Are Phoebe and Athena ok to be in the same room? I don’t think that it is wise to bring Phoebe to Athena’s house” Archon says as he looks at Shakti.
“Why? I mean I that Athena got Helios and that Phoebe was really upset but I think that over the last couple of months that she is gotten past Athena stealing Helios.” Shakti says as she fixes her earrings and then turns in Archon’s arms.
“That’s not true!” Archon growls as he moves back from Shakti.
“what isn’t true” Shakti asks as he looks at Archon with a questioning look.
“Athena didn’t steal Helios. Athena and Helios have been together for a very long time. They started off best friends and then when the time came and Helios realised that Athena was his fated mate, he had to wait for her to see that as well. When she did it was on the day of the new goddess of the bird choosing and you drew out Phoebe’s name everyone was shocked that Athena didn’t get even one vote as she was much better liked than Phoebe but Lycus said that he went through the whole nominations listed and found that not one voted for Phoebe. We wanted to recall the election but unfortunately it never happened” Archon says looking at Shakti like she was a stranger.
“You are going to recall the election?” Shakti asks with a shaking voice.
“Yes, we have people have been complaining about the treatment that they are receiving and even with Athena pregnant they are opting to go to her or wait until she is available to be able to get their issues heard” Archon says as he moves over to the window to look outside.
“Yes, that does sound like a problem. Maybe I should talk to Phoebe. I mean if she isn’t doing her job and things are being missed then she needs to answer for that” Shakti says as she moves to wrap her arms around Archon’s waist.

“I think that it is past the point. Helios will be home tomorrow and we will go from there” Archon says as he continues to look outside.
“Ok, well I need to get going” Shakti says as she turns to leave the room. She had barely taken two steps with Hekate pops into the room scaring Shakti and causing her to fall over.
“ARGH! Gee Hekate what the hell. You have been told to not just pop in” Shakti says as she picks herself up off the ground.
“She is born” Hekate says loudly before popping right back out the room.
Archon, not wasting any time pops out of the room as well leaving a seething Shakti to run from the room and down the hall.
“Phoebe” Shakti yells banging on her door.
“Coming, gee give a girl a minute” Phoebe yells as she opens her door to see a harried looking Shakti standing there.
“Athena has had the baby. The baby that you once again ensured me that she would not have due to the potion that you were giving her” Shakti growls out accusingly.
“What, that can’t be” Phoebe says as she pops out of the hallway. Shakti screams as she too teleports out of the hall and over to Athena’s
When Shakti and Phoebe arrive. All of them were standing there staring at the small bundle. As Phoebe and Shakti move closer, they push through the men and stare down the a small wriggly pink baby with bright purple eyes.
“She is so beautiful” Hekate says as she leans down and blesses the baby
“Oh, look at her gorgeous eyes” Bride says with glee.
“The hair, oh that hair is going to be amazing, so many reds, coppers, and hints of purple she is going to be a beauty that is for sure” Aibelle says as she too leans forward and blesses the baby.
“I could just eat you up” Athan says as he bends down and flashes his fangs. Lycus growls and pushes Athan, Hekate and Aibelle both smack him up the back of the head and Bride kicks him in the shins but nothing fazes him as the baby lets out an adorable chuckle.
“She likes me best” Athan says proudly.
“Of course she does” Athena says as she moves towards the group that is surrounding the baby.
“She is very smart for only being a few hours old” Archon says as he moves closer and runs his finger down the baby’s cheek.
“Oh she was born almost two months ago. Helios wanted me to keep it a secret after I was having a few issues so Athan here was with her for the last two month protecting her and he has done a marvellous job.” Athena says with a sweet smile.
“Why didn’t you say anything until now. I would have helped you?” Archon says as he looks at Athena.
“I know, but Helios came home and I told him what was going on. We had the medic come and check me out. Athan just so happened to visit at the same time and we learnt that I was being poisoned so Helios asked for them to induce me so that the baby would come. They did but it wasn’t much convincing needed as she arrived not three hours later. Helios got called away again and Athan vowed to stay and protect the princess. So that is what has happened. Now that she is already showing her powers at such a young age. Hekate has given her protection along with every other god and goddess of our friends and this is why everyone now knows that princess is here” Athena says as she looks around the room
“Someone poisoned you?” Archon growls.
“Yes, but luckily princess was filtering the poison so she was the one that saved us both” Athena mutters
“Is Helios still arriving tomorrow?” Archon asks
“No, I am here right now” Helios says as he walks into the room. Helios rushes to Athena’s side and pulls her into his arms taking a deep breath.
“I am home” Helios says as he kisses Athena’s temple and then turns and picks up and nestles his baby in his arms
“Hey princess, daddy is home” Helios murmurs as he rocks her back and forth.
