Chapter 6
I stop at the fuel station on the side of the road it was exactly the half way point in my journey and I know that there will be questions when I arrive at the neutral territory. Tito, Tennessee, London and Jameson will want to know why I haven’t picked up the numerous attempts to call me. Just another thing that I can’t get right with being a part of this family.
Life was never easy I believe that it didn’t matter if you were a super or a human each species comes with hardship. It is just another reason to hate my world and to hate everything in it. Part of me is hoping that I am found out. I can’t keep hiding.
Taking a deep breath and getting out of the car I move to fill the car with fuel. After filling the car, I move inside waiting to pay.
“Can you believe that the Royals are looking for someone.” The man in front of me asks his friend.
“I heard that it was a male that they were looking for?” Says the girl that was standing next to him.
“I heard that it was a female, and they have closed the boarder and exits of the city already when they were meant to close at sundown.” The male says.
“Next” The cashier yells.
Moving forward I try and listen to what they were saying but they stopped when they reach the counter.
I take my turn at the counter. “Pump 3” I mutter, trying not to make eye contact with the cashier. Its easier that way the less people that know my face the better. Paying the bill and moving back outside I walk past the man and the girl that are still whispering regarding the Royals. The last thing that I hear before I get into the car that made my heart race.
“The Royals are going door to door this year personally, who ever they are after is in major trouble” the male says.
I quickly start my car and pull out of the gas station and drive a little faster to the neutral territory so that I can be safe for the next few days. I quickly turn my radio on listening to the news as I head toward my safety net.
In breaking news, the boarders and exits and entry into the city have now been closed and the scans have begun. This year the Royal Army are helping. The Royals have asked that you all do what is asked and to keep in an orderly fashion.
The Royals have started early to stop the flakes, the ones that try to avoid the scans and checks. I mean who in their right mind would willing do that. We have these measures in place to make sure that there is not issue in our world.
Oh, this just in they are running checks on the roads. There a multiple check points in place as far as 40 miles outside of the city.

I check my mile counter on my car and see That I have driven over sixty miles I take a breath that I wasn’t aware that I so desperately needed. The sooner I reach haven the better my heart will feel.
The sky was darkening, hoping that I reach the destination before it gets fully dark. Its funny I hate the dark when I was with my brothers, they always made sure that there were nightlights going be in the car as the world gets darker and only my headlights make my breath hitch slightly. You know for supposedly being a super and keep in mind a super that hates the dark it just funny. Laughing lightly to myself watch the road as if I could see in the dark which I totally can’t. There is a flicker on the side of the road a look but can’t see anything. I drive a few more miles before I let out an earth-shattering scream and slam my breaks on, the car fishtails and the vehicle starts to slide. The last thing that goes through my mind is Skky may get her wish.
The dark figure watches as the car crashes off the road and into the nearby ditch. He just wanted to stop her not cause her any issues but I guess that didn't work out quite the way the figure wanted. The dark figure moves closer to the now totalled car and looks inside the drivers window and stares at the beauty that is now laying passed out against the air bag. Whistling twice the figure waited for his body to catch up to his spirit, listening intently after waiting a few more minutes and no reply the figure stood next to the vehicle waiting for his body.
Twenty minutes later his body comes into view. Closing his eyes he joins with his body and together they climb out of the car and rush over to the now crashed car.
"Hey.. Hey miss are you ok?" They ask together.
What the hell did you do? I said to slow her down not crash her into the bank on the side of the road.
**We did nothing, we stepped out onto the road and BAM!. she crash and then we waited for you" The spirit snaps
"Well congratulations you managed to scare her into a ditch" His body says.
**What do we do?" his spirit mutters looking uncomfortable with this woman in the ditch.
"Miss I am going to get you out of the car miss." We say together.
The woman makes no noise, as we rip the door off and pull her out of the car us supers would wake up quickly. However, this one doesn't move a muscle she just continues to sleep while I hold her in my arms. There is something about her that speaks to me and my spirit. As I place her into the back seat of my car suddenly her whole body errupts into flames.
