Chapter 77
Dom and Athan
“Well, it’s very dark” Dom mutters as he opens and closes his eyes again trying to gain his bearings. Yes, he was a super and yes, he had amazing eyesight, but this full dark thing was pissing him off.
“I think I need to complain whoever built this space forgot to add some type of light. Hell, even low light would be better than this shit” Athan grumbles as he walks beside Dom.
“Yes, poor build quality will get you every time” Dom says while nodding his head.
“Poor management or poor building?” Athan asks as then continue to move forward. Well at least they think they are moving forward.
“Hey, do you hear that?” Dom asks as he tilts his head to the side straining his hearing.
“There are voices, but I can’t make out what is being said” Athan says as he also tilts his head to the side.
Dom comes to a stop before turning towards Athan.
“What way do you think we should go?” Dom asks
“Forward” Athan responds.
Moving through the dark they walk for a long time before Dom and Athan stop again.
“Anything?” Athan asks as he looks towards where he thinks Dom is standing.
“Nope” Dom says as he turns in a full circle straining every sense, he has trying to find a direction the voices were still going but he couldn’t make out any of the words.
“It feels like we are under water” Dom says as he starts walking again.
“Hmm” Athan replies.
Dom takes a step forward only to stop suddenly as he feels something grab onto his leg. Reaching down he pats his leg trying to find what just touched him.
“What the hell was that?” Dom mutters as he continues to touch his leg and the ground by his feet trying to find what just touched him.
As Dom goes to stand back up something brushes past him knocking him into Athan.
“Hey watch it dog boy” Athan mutters as he too turns quickly as something brushes up against him as well.
“Something just touched me” Dom says as he turns this way and that with his arms out stretched trying to feel around to what could have possibly touched him.
“I know, something just touched me as well” Athan says moving to push his back up against Dom’s
“I guess this means that our challenge is about to start” Dom says at the same time Athan mutters
“It begins”
“Just remember, do not die” Athan mutters as his feet are yanked out from beneath him and he splashes into ice cold water.
“Athan? Athan? Where are you?” Dom calls as he feels the air on his back.
Dom continues to call Athan, but there is no answer. Moving his foot to take a step he is thrust into a brightly lit room.
“ARGH! WHAT THE FUCK” Dom yells as he is instantly blinded.
“Do you want to be with him?” A female’s voice asks.
“No, I don’t that it why I hid that we were mates. Can you imagine being mated to a wolf?” London’s voice sounds as Dom tries to get use to the light in the room.
“But he is your mate?” The females voice says again.
“So?” London’s voice responds.
Dom takes a deep breath trying not to let the pain in, part of his brain is going this isn’t real. But the part of his brain that is still reeling from London hiding from him for this long makes his chest hurt.
“It’s ok that you are nervous about us London. I will prove that we will be great together” Dom calls while trying to open his eyes again only to be instantly blinded.
“What makes you think that I want you, your family didn’t want you. Your parents are fated, and they still didn’t want their offspring” London responds.
“Yes, they did. They just didn’t want to have me grow up in a world where I may never find my fated mate” Dom responds with a strong calm voice.
“I don’t want you; I don’t want offspring with you and I sure as shit don’t want a dog as a mate” London replies.
“Yes you do, it will be fun and you will love every minute of being with me creating those offspring” Dom says. “I will love you; I will love our children and our lives together.”
“What happens if you die and I have to raise hybrids my coven won’t accept them” London says.
“So, our pack will look after you and the kids and that will be enough for them. Tito and Landon will help teach about the wolf and you will help them with the magic and witch stuff” Dom replies
“What about if I die?” London’s voice calls out but seems much closer than before.
“Well that is simple, Tito will always be in your life and as for the rest there is no difference” Dom assures calmly.
Inside his mind is going crazy just like his heart. How could she think about dying or denying our lives together. When this is over, I am going to take her over my knee and spank that delicious ass of hers.
“It seems like you have it all planned out?” London’s voice sounds in his ear.
“Yes if I have you then all is good” Dom responds.
As Dom moves his hands away from his eyes again, he reaches up and touches soft skin as he tries to open his eyes, he sees the first glimmer of light trusting his instincts Dom opens his eyes all the way and there right next to his right shoulder is London as he turns and smiles London’s eyes go wide as she spits blood all over Dom’s face. As he reaches out his arms to catch her before she falls his hands touch nothing but air as London disappears into a puff of smoke.
“LONDON!” Dom calls as quickly stands looking around trying to find her.
“London isn’t here right now. Let’s see how much you really love your fated mate” A females voice calls in the distance.
