Chapter 95
“What can we call you?” Jameson asks as he stares into the fire
“Oh, I am sorry. My name is spark. I know not terribly unique, but Nix named me when I was just an ember” Spark says as he glows a little brighter.
“How can you help us little spark” Tennessee says as he sits down and chucks a few pieces of wood on the fire.
“Thanks” Spark responds as the wood immediately catches alight and spark grows slightly.
“How can you help with Nix?” Tito asks wanting to get on with a solution the problem.
“As I am part of Nix, I am the light that has guided Hennessy and kept her company in the dark. Nix is suffering right now because Hennessy suffered because she wasn’t there to protect her. When the Queen was torturing her. Because of the binding cuffs Nix couldn’t even shield Hennessy from what the Queen was doing so Nix is angry on Hennessy’s behalf. Hennessy is angry that the Queen and Witch made Nix weak. Hennessy doesn’t seem to care about the pain and suffering that she went through she just wants Nix to be happy.
So at the moment they are both angry with each other and won’t talk to each other. So, Nix is continuing to rage until Hennessy stops ignoring her. But I think if you let her know that we have the Queen and Shakti then Nix may allow Hennessy to come back and be in control. Hennessy was always a sad kid, and we always felt extremely protective of her. But what the Queen did and said to her in that basement was nothing short of torturous venom.” Spark says as he brightens as he continues to rant about what Hennessy and Nix experienced.
“How can we get Nix to give control to Hennessy?” London says as Nix stands and stares at the fire through the bars of her cell.
“I am not sure about that. I know that Hennessy is currently sleeping in Nix’s safe place. Also, I should let you know that Nix will not be able to make Hennessy whole again. I mean regenerate fingers, toes and tongue until she dies. It is one of Nix’s little quirks so there is chance that Nix and Hennessy may not be able to talk unless that happens.” Spark mutters as he continues to flicker this way and that.
“Can she mind link?” Athan asks as he walks into the room
“I don’t see why not, she has a strong connection to most of you, so I am sure if she tried, she should be able to remember how to do it” Spark mutters.
“You don’t like this idea do you?” London asks as she places another piece of wood in the fire.
“Don’t like change. I also can’t stay much longer Hennessy is having a nightmare, I need to go warm her” Spark says as he disappears the fire dims as spark leaves making the others turn as one to look back into the cell where Nix stands staring at the fire as well.
“Do you think that Hennessy is ok, you know how much she hates the dark” London mutters as she continues to stare at Nix.
“Princess wasn’t all that crash hot with being in the dark as well she use to glow if she got too scared” Athan says as he stands up.
“Really, they are a match made in heaven” London says as she stands with Athan and together move towards the cell with London making sure that they make easy slow movements.
“Nix, Hennessy doesn’t blame you she is just scared and worried about you. We are worried about Hennessy can we please talk to her. We can teach her to mind link which means you can talk to us again wouldn’t that be great?” London says as she moves a little bit closer to the cell bars>
“It’s ok princess you can let your other come out, it won’t change anything, and we will do everything possible to make sure that she is safe here. We also have Shakti and the Queen here, but we can’t let you near them until you are of sound mind” Athan says sweetly as he talks soothingly to Nix.
“Please let Hennessy come out for a while, we will teach her to mind link and then we can go see the Queen and get some answers” London says quietly.
“Nix, is there anything that you need to make you feel better and to make Hennessy feel safer” Tennessee calls as he come to join Athan and London.
“Go” Nix mutters inside our heads, Nix flicks her arms and hands around as she starts to pace back and forth.
“What?” Athan asks as he looks at Nix. “You have any idea what she means?” Athan asks London as he continues to watch Nix get more and more agitated.
“Something is wrong she is trying to tell us something” Tennessee mutters as he stands up.
“Really dick head she is trying to tell us something, that is the best your stupid dim-witted brain could come up with” Athan snaps as he turns to glare at Tennessee.
“Well yeah, and you don’t need to be mean” Tennessee snaps back whilst giving Athan the middle finger as well as poking his tongue out at him.
“Real mature dumb shit” Athan mutters as he gives Tennessee the finger as back.
“Your calling me mature, thank you I always thought that I was the most mature one out of all of us. Its nice that someone sees that as well” Tennessee says as he pats Athan on the shoulder.
“Seriously” Athan mutters while shaking his head.
“I know I am also considered one of the most serious demons around” Tennessee replies matter of factly.
“I swear get the fuck away from me or I swear” Athan growls
“Or what, huh. Or what” Tennessee growls back mimicking Athan’s voice
“G..go” Nix repeats through the mind link
“Go? Go where little Hen” Tennessee asks as he comes to join them.
“N…o…….w” Nix strutters
