Chapter 113
Tennessee laughs evilly as he continues to swat at Shakti. Her whimpers and shouts for them to stop were hilarious and also falling on deaf ears.
“You, can’t keep doing this.” Shakti yells back to us as we take another swat at her.
“Turn about is fair play” Tennessee cackles again before chasing after her.
The land changes and they find themselves in a small dark house.
“Well, this is just creepy, have you ever thought about maybe some mood lighting, a lick or a million of paint and some furniture that your guests could be comfortable with” Tennessee mutters.
“Shh” Nix mutters as she looks around the room. “Where are we Shakti. Obviously somewhere you don’t want us to be.”
“Shut up, we need to go” Shakti whisper yells as she moves back towards the door in the room.
“Why?” Tennessee asks as he crosses his arms and glares at her.
“We can’t stay here we need to go” Shakti says again looking panicked and scared.
“I will ask again, WHY!” Tennessee asks as he looks at Shakti.
“Because my dear demon, she doesn’t want you to meet me. More importantly she doesn’t want Nix to meet me” Says a musical voice in the dark
“Who the hell was that?” Tennessee screams into he darkness.
The musical voice chuckles as the sound gets closer.
“We need to leave” Shakti mutters again as she opens the door getting ready to step outside the house.
“You can’t leave child” The musical voice utters.
“You can’t do this, if you do it will change everything” Shakti yells at the voice.
“So? Why can’t it change, it was never meant to be this anyway. You were always looking for better and to do that you decided to change the lives of so many supers that you messed with destiny in such a way that you have cause large riffs in this realm. Riffs that may never be mended. You can’t do what you have done Shakti and expect nothing to change or consequences. Now shut your mouth so that I can finish meeting my new guests. Oh, and you can’t leave dear we are not ready to forgive your transgressions.” The Musical voice sings throughout the darkness.
“Now, children lets talks about what is going to happen or I should say what could happen the choice is yours just know that actions have consequences and therefore so does this” The voice sings as the lights turn on and they find themselves standing in a completely dark area filled with billions of tiny lights that give a beautiful glow to the area.
“Where are we” Nix asks as she walks closer to one glowing light. The light glows brighter and brighter as Nix goes to lift her hand to touch the light, an old woman comes out and stands beside Nix in a completely white gown that looks like it glows as she moves.
“If you touch the light, you will change their lives. Maybe good or maybe bad, no one will know until their lives end” the old woman says.
“How can their lives change?” Nix, asks looking at the old woman.
“Every light here is a super, a super that has a destiny it may be good or it may be bad but it is theirs. Life is a rollercoaster it has ups and downs and twists and turns, but it is up to them to change their destiny not for others to interfere in. Which we all know that some people like to meddle in things that down belong to them or involve them” the old woman says while looking between Nix and Shakti.
“I have the right to change what I want” Shakti says as she looks at the older woman annoyed.
“Lives can’t be meddled with. It is up to the person to change their circumstances, why can’t you understand that what you have done Shakti. You have run rampant for years changing lives and affecting those that want to live their own lives. You have murdered and tortured many poor supers that would have still been alive today living their lives, if you hadn’t come and played with them like your personal plaything.” The old woman snaps.
“Someone is in trouble” Tennessee laughs as he points at Shakti.
“Shut up Tennessee no one likes you” Shakti snaps as she glares at Tennessee.
“WHAT! That is crap, everyone likes me” Tennessee replies quickly, making sure that he is standing tall and proud.
“What is your name?” Nix asks the woman
“I don’t have a name as such, some call us fates while others call us destiny, but they think that you need to know, this isn’t your destiny. Nix you have a chance to right a lot of wrongs that have happen to a lot of people because of Shakti, Phoebe and the Black Witch. You can make it right” The woman says while looking at Nix in the eyes.
“How”
“NO!”
“What? How can I make it right” Nix asks
“There is something that Phoenix’s have that no other super possesses. You have the ability to go back. To go back in time and reverse what those three did and let nature take its course and let the chips fall where they may. You can save everyone that has been affected in the past and everyone that will be affected in the future by something that isn’t meant to happen. But to do this, there is a cost and as usual the cost will be great. But in paying the price you can save thousands” The woman says as she looks at Nix and then to Tennessee.
“I can help her. She is my sister I can help her with this” Tennessee says as he looks at Nix and the woman feeling very uncomfortable with what the old woman is saying.
“No, you can’t do this you can’t let this happen. I went through a lot to have the life that I wanted you can’t let her do this, you old hag” Shakti screams as she glares at the old woman.
“What do I have to do?” Nix asks while looking at the light that are dimmer than others.
“You can use all your feathers and give those dim lights as well as the dark lights a chance to glow again. By giving all your feathers, you will give them to the ones that need it most” The woman says gently.
“Absolutely not” Tennessee yells
“NO” Shakti Shouts
“Tell me everything” Nix replies to the room
