Chapter 56
“WHAT DID YOU SAY!” Tennessee yells as he walks up to the King pushing Athan out of the way.
I hear Athan chuckle and move closer as he moves closer to me.
“Sixty-centimetre gap fang boy” Tennessee says as he turns his head back to me.
“The Queen knows that there is someone special in the Realm, the whole realm knows you need to run” The Kings whispers.
“What? How?” Tennessee asks.
“I am sorry child, it was me” The King mutters as he turns his head to look at me. Athan and Erebus move in front of me blocking me from the King’s view.
“What did you say?” Tennessee says as he raises his fist.
“I didn’t…I didn’t say P..Phoenix” The King stutters out.
“But obviously you have said something that you shouldn’t as now the Queen is searching for Hennessy. I swear all you damn Royals are the same. Use and abuse, you are obviously a Phoenix as well we can just offer you up as bait and get Hennessy away. That sounds like a good plan” Tennessee says as he looks at his siblings.
“Agreed” Tito says
“I could kill him” Dom mutters
“I can make sure that he is semi lucid for a few minutes and then die in the Queens hands” London says.
“Agreed”
“Consider it done London”
“You can’t that is my father”
“I will bag the prince”
“OOOH its bashing time, my favourite” Tennessee says as he pulls out his phone and starts scrolling through it.
“What do you think we listen too to” Tennessee asks the rest of the family.
“Idiot” London mutters as she snatches the phone from Tennessee’s hand.
“What? Why?” Tennessee groans and whines as he turns to London giving her his best puppy dog look.
“I think that we use some extra force” Dom says look around the room and then nodding his head and walking to the back room.
“I have Patty, my bat” Dom says to the room as he walks back into the room swinging his bat.
“Just use your hand and feet” London says rolling her eyes.
“I like extra power” Dom mutters back looking sad.
“How are these idiots supers” Athan asks the other in the room.
Bride laughs loudly as the rest of the room turn to give her a dirty look.
“Its funny, it’s like a bunch of kids” Bride says laughing.
“Its embarrassing is what it is” Archon says.
“Why did the Queen want to kill all the Phoenix? It is the one thing that we never knew” Athena asks from behind Erebus and Athan.
“She wanted power, ever since she died with her original super, upon her death she misunderstood what was going to happen. She was once a Phoenix and she died and used her last feather but because she was taking a witch’s brew only her Phoenix died and she was pissed she wanted revenge.” The King mutters.
“WHAT?” The room at large shouts.
“She was a phoenix, please I am sorry for what I did and my super has hated me ever since but we suffered at the Queens hands and I am terribly sorry for any pain that I caused but please you have to save me. My super won’t talk and I can feel the end” The King gasps out.
“Oh well, Bye” Tennessee as he raises his hand and moves to the back of the room.
“You have many sins that you need to atone for” Shakti says as she walks closer to the King.
“I understand, so you won’t help me” The King rumbles as the rattle within his voice becomes louder.
“I didn’t say that exactly” Shakti mutters shaking her head.
“Hennessy it might be time for you and Nix to stretch you legs.” Shakti says.
“I’m good” I say looking at the back of Athan and Erebus.
“You can’t save him. He helps kill us, I remember the pain and suffering that my people went through before they started the killing” Nix says in a shaky voice utters within my head.
“Nix, I understand” I say pushing my way through my bodyguards and walking up to the King.
“You have committed crimes against you own species, you have murdered, tortured and spied on those that were to be protected. How to you plead?” Nix and I ask the King.
“Guilty, the only thing that I ask is that you give me another chance. Since my fated mate died I have been trying very hard to do the right thing” The King says.
“Why? Why should you be given another chance? Why do you beg when your super wants nothing to do with you?” We ask.
“Because I need to atone and I need to find my daughter” The King gasps out.
“You probably killed her” Tennessee mutters from the back of the room.
I lost her, I lost her and my mate” The King says again.
“And why do we care” Tennessee asks.
“Because I want my family” the King growls.
“And again why do we care?” Tennessee says
“Shut your mouth no one wants to hear you” Caleb growls.
“You shut your gaping black hole no one likes you… you bitch” Tennessee snarks back.
“What did you just call me?” Caleb growls as he walks closer.
“B.I.T.C.H!” Tennessee spells it out like Caleb was hard of hearing.
Dom starts laughing, and the rest of the room snickers.
“Whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you like gross smelly sticky glue” Caleb singsongs
“Sticks and boulders may not break me and neither will a bitch like you” Tennessee mutters back.
“ENOUGH, God damn it will you please just shut up” Archon yells.
“NO!”
“Only if he does”
Archon growls and walks further into the house. Athena moves closer to the King and finally get a better look at the King. What she sees make her gasp and stagger back a step. Athena rushes forward and drops to her knees
