Chapter 107 - It begins

For the next several months everyone was happy, Princess as Athan named her was well loved and looked after. Each day she got stronger and stronger her magic grew. All of their friends were with her all the time. At just seven months old Princess was well looked after that there wasn’t a moment that someone wasn’t with her.
“Did you find out anything further regarding the attempt on Princess and Athena’s lives before she was born?” Athan asks Helios as he continues to play with Princess.
“Yes and No, though it’s not what I thought it would be which has made me nervous as if I am correct, we are all in huge trouble” Helios says as the other sit forward and watch Helios.
“Trouble how?” Daimon mutters as he looks around the sitting room
“Friend or foe?” Lycus asks with a growl that makes Princess start.
“Foe that is faking being a friend” Aibelle and Hekate mutter together
“I knew it” Bride snaps as she gets up to take a walk around the room.
“So…” Erebus says but stops as Shakti and Athena walk into the sitting room laughing.
“What is so funny my love” Helios says as he gets up and walks towards Athena pulling her into his arms.
“Shakti says that Archon has been so busy this last few weeks due to the issues in the Super realm that she thought it would be good for Princess and Archon to spend some time together and for us to have alone time” Athena says with a wiggle of her eyebrows.
“Oh, Shakti that is really nice of you. But we would be lost without her over night and as Athan, Lycus, Daimon, Erebus, Hekate, Bride and Aibelle are all helping we really couldn’t do that. Plus, Archon isn’t already coming a couple of nights a week so I am sure that when he gets back that he will be wanting a rest first and foremost.” Helios says as he looks at Shakti.
“Archon is coming here a couple of nights a week? I haven’t seen him for the last couple of months. Even when I went to see him on the battle field I was told that he was out in combat what the hell do you mean that you are seeing him?” Shakti screeches as she looks between each and every god and goddess here.
“I am sure that he didn’t mean” Athena starts only to be told to shut up.
As Shakti storms from the temple Hekate and Daimon disappear as well.
“Helios that was kind of mean” Athena says as she looks at where Shakti was last standing.
“Yeah well it’s the truth” Helios says with a shrug of his shoulders.

Early the next morning, the Gods and goddesses were woken to the sounds of fighting. Not wanting to waste time each god and goddess bar Athena and Helios disappear to find out and join in on the fight that was taking place inside the heavenly realm.
“Take princess and hide. No matter what you protect yourself and our baby” Helios whispers as he kisses first Athena on the head and then Princess as well.
“We really need to name this child” Helios says with a slight laugh as he disappears to the front of the house.
Athena wasting no time takes off for the hidden room that Athan made Helios and Hekate add a few months back just in case a situation like this occurred.
Tucking Princess into the bassinet Athena conjured her shield and battle armour and prepared to defend her child with everything that she had.
The fighting got louder and more and more cries could be heard throughout the realm. Archon was talking to everyone inside his head telling them to be careful and to watch for hidden attacks.
Archon’s voice was cut off by the loud painful shout of Helios. As the pain rips through Athena she looks back at Princess and then leaning forward she bends and kisses her baby on the forehead telling her that she was so happy that she came into this world and how honoured she felt to have her as a child and that she got to be her mother. When Helios let out another painfilled shout. Athena walked out the room after one last glance at her baby and then shutting the door and locking it she ran through the house and out the front door only to be confront with her worst nightmare.
Helios was pinned between several guards and was missing both his hands and feet.
“STOP!” Athena shouts as she rushes forward only to be stopped by an invisible force field.
“Finally you come to play. I guess it is only fitting that you witness what is about to happen as you took Helios from me, I will take him from you” the familiar voice calls as Athena fights with everything she has to get to her fated mate.
“I…. I didn’t take anything” Athena shouts as she watches the sword press into Helios’s neck.
“Yes you did and when I find that brat, I am going to take her from you just like I will take Helios” Phoebe says as she steps forward.
As the words leave Phoebe’s mouth Athena screams as the sword held at Helios’s neck taking his head from his shoulders.
Athena hears the distance shout from Athan and Archon and the war cries of the others as Helios drops to the ground dead. As Athena turns to look at Phoebe with pure murder in her eyes Princess suddenly appears within her arms. As Athena looks down horrified on what she is seeing, Athena tries to turn and run to get her child to some place safe but Phoebe and her guards stop her before she can barely take a step.
“Look, your baby is stupid just like you” Phoebe mutters as she rips Athena’s child from her arms and pins Athena to the ground as she cries and begs for Phoebe not to hurt her child she hears the running footsteps as she turns her head slightly Athena sees Shakti.
“Shakti, the baby” Athena cries out as a her head slams forward and Athena’s head smashes into the ground knocking Athena out cold.
“Hurry, we need to get out of here” Shakti mutters as she comes close and the others come bashing against the invisible wall.
“Just die Shakti” Phoebe yells as she throws a vial on the ground making Phoebe, Athena, Shakti and the guards along with the baby all disappear.
