Chapter 108

The pain is tearing through the halls of a deep dark cave. The only sounds that could be heard were the constant drip, drip, drip of water and the terror coming from those that are screaming. At first Athena thought that there were hundreds of people here, but when the dragged back just three people and no one else Athena came to realise that there weren’t hundreds it was just three people making all of those terrified sounds and pleas for help. Pleas that went unanswered apart from more pain and suffering.
“Where is Princess? Is she even here? Is she ok? Will I ever see her again? Oh Helios my love, he was gone, gone from this life and the next” Athena mumbles into the dark, as the first tear falls Athan tries desperately to hold it in but the pain and suffering of losing not only her fated mate but that of her child was too great and she couldn’t keep it in any longer.
“Aww, is the little bird goddess sad that she lost her great love. Aww too bad that is just what will happen when you take what is mine.” Phoebe taunts through the bars of the cell that Athena was placed in.
“Where is my CHILD!” Athena screams as she shakingly gets to her feet.
“My child is fine yours is dead” Phoebe response with a loud cackle.
“Please don’t hurt my child, she is innocent in this. Please Phoebe if you hurt her, I promise you that I will kill you” Athena growls as the wave of protectiveness floods her body. She may have lost her fated mate but she will not lose her child.
“I didn’t take anything from you, why are you saying this. I knew Helios as a child which is fact, we have always been close. When you arrived, you told everyone that you wanted him so I pulled away and let you guys have a chance. Helios told me that he hated that I did that, he hated that I was trying to push him onto someone that he didn’t like. When you got the position of Goddess of the Birds, I was happy but sad and you kept throwing yourself all over Helios that I became depressed and this is what you do to someone that you say you love. You murdered my mate and now you have taken my child and me. I will make you pay for this Phoebe I will never forget what you have done.” Athena says angrily taking large huffing breaths.

“I never liked you and for months I tried to get rid of you, hell even after you married Helios which made me so angry that I was going to stab you in the aftermath making it look like a natural occurrence but even that didn’t happen. I. HATE. YOU! I really hate you Athena and now as you sit in this cage you won’t remember anything come the rise of the sun. As soon as the sun touches you, you will forget what I have done, you will forget that I killed Helios and you will absolutely forget that you ever had that horrible spawned child. I will make you suffer for the rest of time” Phoebe says laughingly.

With a tap on the bars Phoebe leaves Athena in the dark with the sounds of Phoebe’s laughter haunting the shadows. “I will not forget, I can’t forget. Helios fated mate, Phoebe evil bitch goddess, Princess mine and Helios’s blessed child. Helios fated mate, Phoebe evil bitch goddess, Princess mine and Helios’s blessed child. Helios fated mate, Phoebe evil bitch goddess, Princess mine and Helios’s blessed child.” Athena keeps mumbling in the dark as a chime sound in the distance the wall on the left side of Athena disappears. As the breeze blows through the dark cave Athena moves to the edge reaching out and touching another invisible wall.
“ARGH YOU BITCH!” Athena screams as she continues to bang on the invisible wall.
Athena turns to take a deep breath as a sound behind her draws her attention.
“Whose there?” Athena asks as she turns to face the bars, expecting Pheobe to show her evil bitch face again.
“M…me Sh..Shakti” Shakti stutters>
“Oh, Shakti. Are you ok?” Athena asks as she races towards the bars. As she gets closer she sees Shakti laying on the cold dirty floor of the cave covered in blood.
“It’s Phoebe, Phoebe did this she is the one that killed Helios” Athena says with a cry. “She took Princess” Athena gasps out between sobs.
“What?” Shakti says as she tries to push herself upright.
“Have you seen my child? Shakti, have you seen Princess?” Athena asks desperately.
“Sun” Shakti says as offers a small smile.
“What? No, I need to know have you seen my baby?” Athena asks desperately as she falls to her knees gripping the bars for dear life.
“Sun coming” Shakti says as she points behind Athena.
As Athena turns her head she sees that the sun is in actual fact rising, looking around the room with blurring vision from the tears that won’t stop. Athena turns back to Shakti only to see that shakti is now standing and smiling at Athena through the bars.
“What….?” Athena mumbles as she switches back to the rising sun.
“Know you will suffer” Shakti says happily as she claps her hands.

As the first rays of light enter the dark cave Athena turns desperately looking for an escape. Athena takes a large deep breath and faces the light coming into the room. “I may suffer but I promise you the truth will come out. Helios fated mate, Phoebe evil bitch goddess, Princess mine and Helios’s blessed child. Helios fated mate, Phoebe evil bitch goddess, Princess mine and Helios’s blessed child. Helios fated mate, Phoebe evil bitch goddess, Princess mine and Helios’s blessed child. Helios fated mate, Phoebe evil bitch goddess, Princess mine and Helios’s blessed child.” Athena mumbles as the sunlight shines on her body as the last rays touch Athena’s face, Athena falls to the ground asleep.

“She’s out, I mean I know this was to knock her out. But still you have to admit that she did well and held strong to the bitter end” Shakti says as she turns to look at Phoebe.
“Yes, Athena has always been strong willed that was why you need to break a person before you make them suffer” Phoebe says as she walks into the cell and kicks Athena in the stomach.
“I mean for someone that has taken everything from me I am very disappointed that she didn’t put up much of a fight” Phoebe says with another kick to Athena’s stomach.
“So is everything in order?” Shakti asks as she looks between Phoebe and Athena.
“Yes, Bye bye” Phoebe says laughingly as Phoebe’s guards come out and take Shakti and drag her kicking and screaming from the room.
“What are you doing?” Shakti screams as she is tied to the table.
