Chapter 9 - The Wolf

*Before*
*“I don’t want to visit the stupid Queen, why are we interfering with that is going on in their castle this has nothing to do with us we are pack and therefore we stick with pack. Why are you struggling with that. Why can’t you understand that going here is only going to cause problems” The wolf growls to his other.
“I don’t want to live in the sticks, I am not a woodsy person I want cush and comfort, I want to wake up with indoor plumbing and not have to eat meat but I can’t because I was born a wolf and I don’t want to be. I am sorry but surely you want to be placed with someone that is suitable for you as well” The wolf’s other mutters to him.
“Do I wish I had an other that loves being outdoors? Yes, absolutely yes. I want to run and enjoy the pack; I am happy outdoors but if you want to move and live in one of the houses then ok, I will do that as long as we can go outside for a minimum of five hours per day but why can’t you compromise. I have to make all the compromises this isn’t fair. Plus getting involved in the castle with the Royals is only going to lead to bad things” The Wolf growls
“We are going they are going to help us both. The Queen is honest, and she cares about her people” The other snaps back at his wolf.
While they continue to make the trek to the castle and the Royal’s the wolf and his other continue to argue back and forth. As they knock on the door of the castle. The Royal guards open the doors and allow the Other and his wolf to walk inside.
“We need to get out of here this is all kinds of wrong” The wolf snaps out again.
“No, I need this” The wolf’s other snaps back.
Just as they clear the door the Royal guards push them against the wall and snap silver cuffs on them as well as dousing them from head to toe in wolfsbane.
“T…. told you” the wolf stutters as he feels himself being ripped away from his other. He watches as the Royal guards brutally kills his other before placing him into a contained capsule and whisking it through the forest to a portal as the capsule and portal race with a blinding kaleidoscope of colours. The sun burns his eyes as they exit the portal.
“This is the wolf”
“Undamaged?”
“Yes undamaged”
“Good, get subject seven prepared she is getting a wolf tonight”
“Yes Doctor”*

*Present*

“Your Tish, I have listened to you talk to them as I waited in the dark” The wolf says
“Do you remember?” Tish asks
“Yes” The wolf snaps back before telling her everything that happened before. As the wolf talks about his other being promised a better super one that meets his every needs. But as soon as we enter the castle were attacked and now, we are here.
“This little girl is struggling to deal with so many supers being inside her mind and finding space with all of them and her own mind. She is ten and everyday she is struggling. I want to rip the human’s doctor head off. I want to kill my other all over again and I want more than anything to make the Royals pay for what they have done to me and my life.”
“I get that, there was a dream I had once that I was this evil person that I traded my daughter and in return I helped rain hell on all supers. But it was a dream and there is something to say to those that have experienced that sort of Deja vu. I am sorry that your other wanted a better life but there are some supers out there that don’t deserve the chance that they get and then there are those that deserve much better. Life is what we make it wolf, and I guess you can consider this your second chance, or you can whinge and whine and wait for the end.”
“How can you consider being trapped within a small child that has experienced so much hate and torture that this is my second chance. There are fifteen supers in here fighting to take her over and there are ones that will destroy this girl.”
“That is the thing about life. If you want to be good, then be good. If you want more and decide to follow on and do ill deeds, then let nature take its course. There is balance in life for there to be light there needs to be dark and for there to be dark there needs to be light. The same with the good and the bad. Its your choice on which path you walk.”
“Spoken like some one that hasn’t had to make a choice.”
“I make a choice everyday wolf and everyday I choose what is best for my daughter and what I need to give her and the life that she needs and wants to live”

“Not everything is that easy”
“Life isn’t like that wolf you of all people should no that. What this child has been through has been horrible and there are several of us that don’t want to see the bad guys win. You think demon wanted to be here? Do you think that I wanted to be here or Vampire. We were forced here, and we need to make sure that this child lives well.” Shadow snaps as she glares at wolf.
“I get it I do, but I also think that someone needs to take us out of here and placed elsewhere”
“Where, you have been taken from your others. They don’t exist so there is no where for you to go you need to make the best of this” Tish growls.
“What happens if we decide to fight and stay here. What happens if we kill the bad ones and only us remain” The Wolf voices the question that has been on super’s mind.
“If you remove the bad supers we will work with Seven and you all so that you can all help her and give her the best life” Tish says as she maintains eye contact with Wolf.
“And if we don’t remove the bad supers?” Vampire asks.
“Then the gods will take you to judgement and from there they will vote on the best course of action” Tish replies sadly.
“So either we kill the bad supers, or you kill us” the wolf growls out.
“Yes, if you don’t remove them then we will remove seven from the equation” Tish says with a nod.
“I guess its time for hunting”
