Chapter 109 - Archon and the Lies

“Archon, we have another thirty or so people on the west side that are hurt badly as well.” Bride says as she walking to the meeting.
“Yes, the reports coming from the other area in the realm is that we have sustain losses not overly heavy but still losses. We need to know who attacked us” Archon growls as he looks around the room at his closet friends. Helios was gone and now there was only suffering in a realm that shouldn’t have any. His people were scared and angry and he couldn’t fault them for that. Because after all the training and the classes it did nothing to save the ones that were the most dedicated to the realm.
“Any word of Athena or Princess?” Archon asks as he continues to look around at the faces of his friends.
“No, someone took them both, but we are also missing Shakti, Phoebe and a couple of others” Lycus mutters

“This is bullshit, how can they just disappear? How can they just enter our realm? How can this happen?” Athan mutters as he paces back and forth.
“It was an inside job” Erebus says as he pops into the room. After the fighting ended Erebus walked Helios’s spirit to the neither. While we all wanted to go with them Erebus said that Helios was too angry and that he was mad enough not to pass through the realm to the neither if they all went so, they didn’t.
“What do you mean and inside job? Are you telling me that we have a traitor?” Archon barks as he moves closer to Erebus.
“Yes, Helios showed me what happened, we need to investigate and we also need to find a remedy” Erebus says as he sits on the stairs
“What remedy Erebus?” Hekate asks as she moves closer to him
“We have been spelled, haven’t we?” Aibelle asks as she too moves towards Erebus. Taking Erebus’s hand Aibelle closers her eyes and watches what Erebus and Helios discussed before passing.

“Helios, I am sorry old friend that we couldn’t help you in your time of need. But we all promise that we will protect Athena and your child for the rest of our lives. They will know no more pain and suffering” Erebus says as they walk towards the light in the dark.
“They will, that is something that you can’t offer. What I ask is that you find them both quickly. Phoebe is bitter and twisted and she has been working with Shakti for many years even before that bitch tried to become Queen. Shakti isn’t Archon’s real mate but I am sure that isn’t something that most of us in the realm don’t already know. But what you don’t know is that Phoebe has been using potions on us since Shakti came to the heavenly realm. Everything is tainted the food, water and air. You will need all of them to cleanse what has been tainted. When Athena comes home make sure she is well looked after and make sure that my baby girl grows up loved” Helios says as the stop just before the light.
“I will do everything in my power to make sure that they are cared for.” Erebus says as he looks at Helios.
“Friends shouldn’t let friends leave alone” Helios says as he turns to look at the light again. “I don’t want to leave Athena; I finally found her and got her to agree but now I am gone and she is alone. Phoebe is vindictive but the poison that she has done to us in this realm shows that we are no better than the supers in their realm or the humans in theirs. Also tell Archon to follow his heart because his head isn’t right” Helios mutters as he walks closer and touches the light.
“What do you mean?” Erebus asks as he looks at his old friend.
“Things will change. Trust in us your friends and give everyone else a sprinkle of doubt” Helios says with a laugh as he steps into the light.
Just as the light engulfs Helios, he drops to the ground screaming and holding his heart as he tries to crawl out of the light Erebus rushes forward.
“What? What is wrong?” Erebus yells to be heard over Helios’s shouting and screaming.
“Athena, ATHENA” Helios screams as the light takes Helios to the neither.
Erebus falls back onto his backside and stares at the light in the otherwise darken room. “Athena, are you coming to the neither as well?” Erebus asks the darkened room.
“Athena won’t pass through here. Not yet but she will. Helios is in such distress that I have offered to give this last message. Beware of Athena when you find her, she will be cracked but not broken, don’t pressure just reassure and protect her like your life depends on it” The mystical voice in the dark says.

“Phobe did this?” Aibelle says as she slowly opens her eyes and looks at Erebus.
“Yes” Erebus replies sadly.
“That bitch, I never liked her. Everything about her was suss from the beginning” Athan mutters as he pushes to his feet.
“So she has been lying all this time?” Archon says angrily.
“Yes, and she is not alone” Aibelle says as she gives Archon a brief sad look before moving to the other side of the room.
“Is there more?” Archon asks as he moves towards Aibelle.
“Nothing that can be done right now” Aibelle replies sadly.
“Ai…” Bride mutters as she looks between Archon and Aibelle.
“NOTHING that can be done right now Bride” Aibelle says again
“Hekate, we need to combine our magic and cleanse this area” Aibelle says as she looks towards Hekate.
“Sure, lets do that” Hekate agrees with a nod and grabs Aibelle’s hand and leaves the room.

“We are totalling missing something” Archon mutters as he watches the female leave the room followed closely by Erebus and Lycus.
“You know for a king you are not only stupid but embarrassing” Athan growls as he smack Archon up the back of the head before walking out of the room as well.
“I didn’t do anything!” Archon mutters.
“I think that is the problem and also the point” Daimon says with a shake of his head also following his friends from the room.

“What am I missing? What am I doing wrong?” Archon mutters to the empty room.
“Maybe you need to follow your heart and not your head” replies a mystical voice.
“If I do that, we are without a rightful Queen” Archon responds to the voice.
“Maybe? Maybe you will find the right answers in your heart of hearts” the mystical voice says before the room gets a freezing blast of wind.
“If only it was that easy” Archon mutters as he drops on the stairs that Erebus just vacated.

“What other lies have been told. Mystic show me the truth since Phoebe has been here” Archon calls to the room.
“The truth when kept in the dark hurts the most” the Mystic replies
