Chapter 58
Loyalty has a price! Or in this case me the royal prince’s servant.
“Right, remember I want the king alive, if at all possible, I need to know what he knows. Also tell me who owns this land” The Queen yells at the top of her lungs. Everyone stands around looking at the Queen like she has lost her mind. Sure, she has become less and less stable. The whole kingdom has started to doubt her and that means that there must be others out there that are willing to take the kingdom from this crazy woman.
“WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?” The Queen screams. The guards move off to do the Queens bidding.
“Where is the prince?” The Queen asks me
“I am unsure your majesty, last I saw he was put in his room and when the king fled his room was broken into. I would say that we have a hostage situation” I say while looking at the Queen in the eye. Something about the Queen she was notorious for knowing when you are lying. Something I have managed to hide since I mastered when I was young.
“Right make sure that when we find him that you kill him quickly and make it look like an accident” The Queen barks as she storms towards her limo.
Walking towards the guards I see them whispering among themselves.
“What do we have?” I ask as I stop next to them. The guards jump slightly but otherwise make no other response that they are worried about being heard.
“This is neutral territory and that the only thing that is close is a Black witch coven, a portal for the Fae as well as the werewolf territory over in the east. There is also a rumour that the entrance for one of the levels of hell is also around here somewhere.” One of the guards report.
“Ok, anything else?” I ask while looking around the area.
I have the feeling of eyes on us everywhere but apart from that nothing else untoward. Walking over to the leader of the scout team I see them nervously look around them.
“What?” I ask walking closer.
“D..do you feel like we are being watched? I mean the guards said this is neutral territory, but we can feel it” The leader of the scout team murmur.
“Yes, I can feel it. There are several territories around here which means it would stand to reason that there are scouts of their own kind keeping watch over the woods and surrounding areas. But I would have to say that the feeling is becoming suffocating, and we have only been here for a few minutes.” I say looking out into the surrounding woods.
“A..are you going to tell the Queen” The leader of the Scouts mutter while taking a large audible gulp.
“I have one more unit to check in with so yes I will report it all to her” I say walking towards the warlocks that are trying to put up a cloaking spell. These warlocks are one hundred percent on the Queens side and the most dangerous out of them all.
“What have we got, why is this taking so long?” I ask rudely mainly because I hate them and also because the leader almost turns purple when dealing with me.
“There is something wrong with the area, we need to tell the Queen” The leader of the warlock coven snarls at me.
“Sure you go tell the Queen that you are useless and can’t do the job that was intrusted to you. Hell, I dare you. Or better yet double dog dare you and please let me watch and listen as she kills you.” I say happily.
“The Queen will no about you boy” The Head warlock snarls at me.
“Mmm, you sound like a bad criminal trying to sound strong when we both know that at the end of the day the Queen will be pissed that once again you can’t deliver on your overinflated promise” I say as I turn and walk towards the Queen in her limo.
As I approach I can hear the warlock huffing and puffing trying to keep up with me and he doesn’t have a chance, and by the time he catches up he will need several more minutes before he can catch his breath enough to talk to the Queen which means I will be able to tell all and then watch as she tears him to strips.
“Your majesty, the warlocks are unable to complete the cloaking spell, we are on neutral territory as but I am more concerned about the cloaking spell not working. There is something suss going on here” I say to the Queen I add a bow just to make sure that I kiss ass a little more.
“Oh, I see. Warlock Elder here now” The Queen shouts. The Warlock leader stumbles forward whilst still gasping for breath.
“y..yo..your Q..Queen” The Warlock gasps out.
“What the hell have you been doing? Why is the cloaking spell not up and running? Why is it taking so long? This is ridiculous, as an elder you should be able to deal with this since you are not capable, I hereby sentence you to the punishment of not obeying me. Guards kill him” The Queen shouts as she winds her window up and blocks out the sounds of the warlock yelling and pleading with her wanting to have his life saved.
The Guards waste no time storming forwards and with one gruesome sound the lead guard grabs the warlocks head and tears it straight from the warlocks’ shoulders. The warlock’s eyes blink inside his now decapitated head before his body tumbles to the ground with the squelching and spurting of blood being pumped from his body. The head is carelessly dropped beside his body before the guards walk away like nothing happened.
Looking at the dead warlock I raise my head and look towards that others that are now trying doubly hard to make sure that they don’t end up just like the elder.
“Hurry up or join your friend, the Queen does not like people that disobey her” I yell
