Chapter 14 - What goes up

The yelling and shouting are loud as each super voices their opinion about why they should listen to a Phoenix that has caused so much trouble for all of them. If it wasn’t for Phoebe’s jealously then none of us would be here to begin with. None of us would have suffered. Tish watches as The Wolf trying to wrap his hands around the Phoenix’s throat and the Phoenix or should she say Phoebe laughs like it was the best damn joke in the world.
Tish couldn’t believe that she was here, that she wasn’t actually sent to the neither realm she was living and inside another other that she could take over and destroy the rest of them with. Though she seemed sad when she mentioned that Athena had died and Helios being dead as well. She also sounded sad as she told Tish about London now being an adult. But something felt off, everything was just too damn easy. If they killed Nix, then they would all finally be stuck here and nothing could be changed meaning that this was their life now. But if the oracles had already been to Nix and told her that she could have her parents back I am sure that the poor child will jump at the chance to right a wrong what child wouldn’t want to have their parents by their side.
But there is something that wasn’t quiet right here.
“Cold, dark and wrong, cold, dark and wrong” The demon chants as it sits in the corner rocking back and forth.
“Demon, do you know something?” Tish asks as she bends down level with the demon as it continues to rock back and forth.
“Cold, dark and wrong” The demon responds.
“What, you need to give me a little more to go on” Tish mutters as she watches the others argue and try and kill Phoebe.
“Cold, dark and wrong” The demon says again as he looks at Phoebe.
Tish turns her head and looks at Phoebe. As Tish moves to stand, she watches as the Wolf takes another swing and Phoebe dodges back. There was no light, Shadow comes from the other direction and manages to make contact with Phoebe’s face and the momentum propels Phoebe into Tish. Tish automatically reaches out her hands and grabs hold of Phoebe as soon as Tish makes contact with her, she feels what the demon has been spouting this whole time. Phoebe isn’t the Phoenix; she isn’t anything other than Scavenger masking itself. Phoebe or should she say Scavenger looks up and notices the recognition in Tish’s eyes. As Scavenger tries to move away Tish holds firm as the other manage to get the cuffs on.

“Scavenger, been here long?” Tish asks with a raised eyebrow.
“Long enough, a few well worded hints and bam here we are. I mean how stupid do you people have to be. Phoebe has long since departed from this other. I made it my mission to make sure she was the first one that I would pick off. Did you know that the beauty of being a Scavenger is that what ever you kill you keep. There is no protection once I make a kill I simply scavenge through the remains and take what I want. So, after I killed Phoebe for good, I took her memories, her powers and her skin for a one-time use. So here we are, though the demon here has been on to me since the beginning. Oh, and just so you know everything I have told you is the truth. Years have passed since you have been here the oracles have been screwing with everyone and are in with the Queen of others to achieve what they want which is the removal of Archon and the heavenly realm they do like power. Also, the only way to stop this from repeating is to kill Nix. But I can see that you aren’t happy with that plan, and I am also pissed that some of these supers that aren’t meant to like each other have been working together. The Oracles have made one error consistently they have misjudged what you supers will do when you decide to work as a team. So I will say that I am severely disappointed. So I wish to…….” The scavenger starts before the Wolf knocks him clear out.
“What? Did anyone else want to owe that being a life strand” The Wolf mutters.
“True” The shadow mutters as she walks forward and rips the scavengers head clear off.
As the scavenger’s body disappears the once dark mind is filled with light.

“Well, you look at that” The demon calls as he slowly stands to his feet and moves around the room.
“You can make sense?” Tish asks as she looks at the demon with wonder.
“Yes Tish, I can talk sense. The scavenger put a spell on me to prevent me from warning you all that it had in fact killed Phoebe. Phoebe was brought here as a way to keep everyone in line but due to the punishment she had already receive and the joining she was weakened drastically. So, at first I tried to protect her but then I saw her talking to scavenger and overheard how she was going to kill us all in here and that once she had gained the heavenly realm she was going to kill everyone. She promised to take the scavenger with her, but she also made the promise with everyone else. I happen to let that slip and then as you could say the rest is history. Scavenger killed Phoebe took her powers and then started to rule the roost so you may say.”

“So, all this time. All these years you have been suffering and no one knew?” The Wolf mutters rubbing the back of his neck.
“The vampire almost figured it out once but then she was mind wiped by Bile”

“So how can you all exist here? I mean moving forward what is going to happen to Seven?” Tish asks
“Seven is fine, she will be fine in the future as well we are all going to be fine here. We will need training, and we will need to manage our super abilities, but we will make it” The demon mutters.

“So, I guess I got what I wanted. I found my answers. I will see you all again” Tish calls as she reaches for her wrist and starts to turn her gem to wake herself up.
“Yes, you will see us again. We are sorry that you missed your daughter growing up but we thank you for your help and I know that Seven is going to need help in the future.” The Witch calls as Tish’s body slowly fades.

As Tish wakes up in the light filled room and laying on a comfortable bed her eyes flicker and she comes awake to the sounds of fighting and yelling. Turning her head, she watches as Seven slowly opens her eyes as well.
“Welcome Seven” Tish says as she sits up to a loud thump on the door. As Tish looks towards the door a tall woman runs through covered in blood as she they make eye contact Tish’s breath flies from her body.
“Hi Momma, we are under attack lets catch up later” London calls as several figures fill the room wearing dark armour.
A loud high pitch scream fills the air before a loud pop sounds and all of the body that were standing there are now laying in bits and pieces covering the walls and floor.
Tish jerks her head towards Seven as she sits there screaming and Athan comes flying through the door.
“Nice gizzard al a carte” Athan says laughingly.
